The Black Blade is over

At the black blade's hideout

The drug lord was sitting on a chair smoking blunt with one of his legs on a table that was in front of him. The table was filled with different kinds of hard drugs and alcohol with some cash.

"Snakes and Kim, I have some good news for the both of you." The drug lord said to Kim and Snakes who were busy on their phones.

They immediately turned their attention to the drug lord after hearing him speak about the good news he has for the both of them.

"mmm mmm" The drug lord cleared his throat.

"Carlos is dead!!" he yelled with a straight face.

There was a huge smile on Snakes's face because he has always been jealous of how close the drug lord and Carlos were.

Meanwhile, Kim gasped. He was shocked at what he just heard.

'it's not possible, Carlos can't die' Kim said in his head. He couldn't believe it.

Kim was really close to Carlos and most of the things he knew now were what he learned from Carlos. He felt his heart throb at what the drug lord just declared that Carlos is dead.

"Drug lord, how is that good news? How… how did he die?" Kim asked the drug lord in a worried tone.

"Carlos killed my daughter and I had to avenge her death. Carlos needed to pay the price for taking the only family I had," he said.

The death of his daughter still hurt him like a dagger in his heart and even if he loved Carlos with everything, his own flesh and blood comes first.

Kim's jaw dropped. He had a sad expression on his face.

He has been advising Carlos to kill Linda because he felt it was for Carlos's own good so he could live a peaceful life without being blackmailed.

Now Carlos is dead for killing Linda and if the drug lord finds out that Kim was also involved, he's totally screwed.

"You did the right thing, drug lord. Carlos was never useful to the group anyway," Snakes said flatly.

Kim glared at Snakes "This is not cool man! Carlos was like our family. How can we pretend like he meant nothing to us" Kim said in a high-pitched voice.

"if you're not happy with it, why don't you just leave," Snakes said to Kim.

"fine!! I'm out, I'm no longer in the black blade" Kim said, turning to leave just like that without looking back.

"Kim you're forgetting that once you're in, you can't get out unless you're killed so if I were you, I'll stay," The drug lord said to Kim but Kim played deaf ears and kept walking towards the door.

"I guess you're not scared of death but what about your sister, Treasure's death?" The drug lord said as he was puffing out smoke from his mouth

Hearing his sister's name, Kim immediately halted his steps with his eyes broadened like they wanted to come out of its socket.

His sister, Treasure, is the only family he has and he'll definitely go nuts if anything happens to her because of him.

Kim had no other choice but to turn his back and he faced the drug lord. He is stuck in the black blade whether he likes it or not.

"That's more like it," The drug lord said, smirking at Kim.

"you're all surrounded!! drop all weapons and place your hands in the air" A cop yelled from outside.

Carl, Sasha, and some other police officers had surrounded the building which was the Black Blade's hideout. They were all prepared with their guns to take them down and mostly leader which is the drug lord.

"Shit!" The drug lord cursed and immediately stood up from his seat.

He quickly grabbed two guns, one in each hand while Snakes carried a pistol and started shooting outside, through the window same with the drug lord.

While they were busy shooting and also trying not to get shot. Kim used that as an opportunity to escape through the back door taking a rifle with him.

Besides, the drug lord and Snakes were too busy to notice that Kim has left them.

"I'm going in," Sasha said to Carl.

"Sasha, wait! it might be too dangerous. We have to come up with a plan first" Carl said.

"Prosecutor Carl, we don't need a plan, we've got a better chance at this. Trust me!!" Sasha said.

"I know, but…"

Sasha left Carl before he could finish his sentence.

She walked to the front door of the building and kicked the door open with a gun in her hand, aiming at Snakes who suddenly kept his both hands in the air after seeing Sasha.

Although, he was still with a gun.

"where is your boss" she yelled at him.

Pow!

Sasha was hit on her temple. She turned her neck to see who it was and she saw the drug lord who had just hit her with the back of a gun.

She tried to shoot the drug lord but Snakes shot her in the arm before she could do anything.

After hearing the loud gunshot, Carl panicked. He had no idea who shot who. He believed in Sasha because she is a trained policewoman and that is why she is the chief of police but even as that, he was still nervous.

"Sasha are you good?" Carl yelled in a panic tone but there was no response.

All the shootings had stopped and everywhere was now still.

'Damn it! I shouldn't have let her go in herself' Carl thought.

He walked to the door of the building with a pistol in his hand after signaling the policemen to follow him from behind.

However, they immediately halted their steps after seeing the drug lord, Snakes, and Sasha already coming out of the building.

Carl felt his heart skip immediately he saw the condition Sasha was in.

Sasha's arm was bleeding and she was held hostage by the drug lord who was pointing a gun at her temple that was already bruised.

"drop all your weapons or I'm going to shoot your chief of police" The drug lord yelled.

Without any hesitation, Carl signaled the police officers with a hand gesture to drop their weapons and they obeyed.

"Drop your weapon too, prosecutor" the drug lord angrily said to Carl.

Carl sighed and let his pistol fall from his hands. But unknowing to the drug lord, there was another gun tucked at the back of Carl's trousers.

"Mr. Louis, we can settle this some other way without anyone getting hurt," Carl said taking a step toward the drug lord.

"one more step and I'll fucking blow her head up" The drug lord yelled at Carl and Carl immediately stood still placing both hands in the air.

"Prosecutor, you're the one who barged in here with your officers to get me, am I wrong?" The drug lord said to Carl.

"That's because I know you have something to do with Carlos's accident," Carl answered.

"That motherfucker deserved to die, he kil…."

BANG!!

There was a loud gunshot from nowhere and Snakes who was standing next to the drug lord dropped down dead just like that. He was shot in the back of his head.

The drug lord who was just as surprised as everyone, turned his neck to look at Snakes and who might've shot him.

Meanwhile, Carl seized his moment and quickly untuck the gun that was at the back of his trousers and shot the drug lord's leg.

The drug lord fell to the ground with Sasha and Carl pointed a gun at the drug lord's face. He was immediately handcuffed by one of the cops.

"it seems you're going to spend the rest of your life in prison…" Carl said sternly to the drug lord as the cops were taking him into the police vehicle.

"…and I'll make sure you don't escape this time!!" Carl added

"This isn't over!!!" the drug lord screamed at the top of his lungs.

The police officers forcefully pushed the drug lord into the police vehicle and they drove off.

"Sasha are you okay?" Carl rushed to Sasha and held her.

"Yes... yes, I'm fine," she said under her breath holding her bleeding arm.

"You're not okay, let me take you to the hospital," he said

"Finally, the black blade is over," Kim said, smiling.

He was standing on a rooftop in an opposite building where he witnessed the whole scene of how the drug lord was arrested.

Thanks to Kim, he helped the police officers by shooting Snakes with the rifle he was holding.

The drug lord got distracted because of that and that was how Carl took his chance.

At the hospital,

Sasha was sitting on the hospital bed. She looked fine but her arm that was shot was wrapped with a bandage.

"Sasha, if you had listened to me, you wouldn't have been in this condition," Carl said to Sasha, stroking his forehead.

"Prosecutor Carl, it's just a minor injury," She said.

"I know but it could've been worse, …you should be more careful please I'm begging you," he said in a serious tone.

He felt frustrated at the thought of what might've happened to Sasha if she was badly hurt.

"I will, thanks for looking out for me" she smiled.

"Of course, you're my friend and I wouldn't let something bad happen to you... I got your back okay?" Carl said and Sasha couldn't help but smile.

"I'm sorry I was rude to you earlier on. Anne would be more than lucky to have you as her life partner" She said and Carl delivered a weak smile

"Anyways, who was the cop that shot the drug lord's accomplice?" Sasha asked.

"I have no idea, but I'm certain it wasn't any of the cops," Carl said

"then who was that?" she asked with a puzzled look.

"I don't know but I'm glad whoever did that was on our side," Carl said.

Just then, Sasha's husband who's name is Steve, walked into the ward Carl and Sasha was in.

"Sasha are you okay?" Steve said in a worried tone as he sat down beside Sasha on the hospital bed.

"Alright, I'll leave you two love birds," Carl said smiling and he left.

Outside the hospital, Carl checked his phone if he saw any calls or texts from Anne but he didn't. He called her on the phone but her number was still unavailable.

"What is happening?" he muttered.
