I watch Luke getting off his bed and then standing in front of me holding my hands. I feel a little tremble in his hand and then he goes down on one knee. I know exactly what this means and I can not believe that this is happening. Then he continues to tell me that I am the best thing that has ever happened to him and then he says those words that every girl wants to hear.

But for some reason, I can not say yes. I can not take advantage of the happiness he is feeling right now and say yes if he did not really mean it. I think he is just hyped up on adrenaline right now and he is not thinking clearly. I bend down to kneel next to him. Then I say.

"Luke, I think you are just happy because you going to live and now you are portraying it on me. I do not want to give you an answer when you are under a false feeling of excitement?"
