Ares- Prolgue

I soon reach the office. As I enter the room I can hear the sounds of conversation coming from the back door. I stand and stare at it. Its the door to the lead mans office. His name is Mr. Brightentail. He is a Beastman. He too, is of the Bryd Beasts. But he looks more like an Owl. I am of the Hawk race. Mr. Brightentail is awkward but nice. He keeps strict rules but isnt unfair or mean. It'll be weird to leave this place, but I am much to excited to worry about that. He has taught all of us Experiments how to survive. We were taught many things, while being observed and tested. History of both races, languages, how to function as a human and a beast. There are older of our kind, that had it harder. I am apart of the last group. We are the finalized products. We are what they were working towards. We are deemed the Peacemakers. The bridge between the races.

As I monologued in my head Mr. Brightentail walked out of his office followed by a human woman. She looked familiar. Blonde hair, blue eyes and a very soft and docile body. Ex723. Thats who she was a parent of. No wonder she looked famailar. She carries my best friends scent. THey both look up as they walk and see me. She smiles softly and says she'll wait outside for her. Today is also Ex723's birthday, her freedom day. Looks like she'll be going with her human mom. Mr. Brightentail waves his hand towards his office. Its time to finish up my paperwork. I walk in and sit. He walks around his desk and smiles as he sits. "Today is the big day, are you excited?' He asks. I nod my head, "I am ready to see my mother. To get my answers." I reply. He nods his head thoughfully. "Well then lets get started, What name have you picked for yourself?" "Ares" I say. "Ares will be my name." He nods again and begins quickly typing into the computer, "Have you decided how you want to leave?" He asks. I look out the window behind him, "I plan to fly." I answer, he just nods and keeps typing. "Will you be going near the human territories?" He asks. "Only for supplies." I reply. He knows these answers, he has for awhile. I wonder if its just protocal for him to ask. He doesn't say anything and keeps typing for a bit. Soon I hear him sigh, "Ares, are you sure you don't want me to call your Mother? I can have her come get you, you don't have to try and find your way there alone." He looks at me for a long moment before he goes goes back to looking at his computer. "Fine have it your way." He stands and shuffles a bunch of papers around and begins putting them into a folder and grabbing a few things from his drawer. "Here's your paperwork, keys to your locker for your gear, the funds you've saved up, and a cellphone." I take all the things and place them in my bag. I look up and he begins speaking again, "The phone is already programmed, I took the liberty of adding my phone number and your mothers. If you need anything please do not hesitiate to call." He looks a bit sad as he look at me. "Thank you, for everything Mr. Brightentail', I say. I wave to him as I walk out the door and towards the lockers.

As I near the lockers, I can hear someone fussing, Ex723. Shes very excited. I smile as I approach her. "Hey there Bunni!" I call as I get closer. She stops and turns around "Bryd!!" She hollers as she sprints towards me. Ex723 is gorgeous, White blond hair, pale skin, white bunni ears, a small white tail and cute little bunni teeth with a fluff little body. Standing at 5'4 she is quite a tiny thing. Shes hits me full force and hugs me. "Hey shrimp", I say as I hug her back. Soon our hug ends and she looks up at me with her gorgeous blue and pink eyes. "Ares, is the name I picked." I tell her. "Nallaka", she says back. "So Nallaka, going with your mom?" "Yes, I want to meet my half sibilings", she looks excited. "I hope they treat you well Bun." I pull my phone out at toss it at her. She quickly types in her info and tosses it back. "Keep in touch with me Are, or else I'll kick your butt." She laughs and hugs me one more time, "I'll miss you..." she says softly. "I'll miss you too", I say as She grabs her things and begins walking away. I quickly unlock my locker and grab my things. Then I follow her towards the exit. Today, begins a new day for us.
