Punishment

She frowned, looking up as she tried to stop moving, but it was almost as if someone else was controlling the floor and her body as she glided across the room. . . towards the devil!

Daphne, who was just pleased with herself a moment ago, looked at the devil in disbelief, who was smiling slightly as he looked away, gently tapping his toes against the ground as he stood there silently, almost as if he had nothing to do with what was happening right now.

"You -" Daphne tried to stop herself, but she could not control her body at all. Was this another one of the devil's powers? Being able to control people?

She started sliding faster and before long, she was right in front of him again. This despicable devil!

Only until he placed his hand onto her waist and got a grip of her again was she finally able to move her legs by her own command.

She glared at the devil, her fists curling in rage as he looked at her amusedly, grabbing onto a strand of her tangled hair as he began twirling it around in his finger, "How should I punish you?"

Daphne did not respond.

"Hmm. . ." The devil hummed, tilting his head slightly as one of his fingers began tapping Daphne's back, each tap sending a shock up Daphne's spine.

"How about. . . no lunch for you," he said pleasantly, letting go of her hair and her as he stepped back, grinning at her, "While I'm eating lunch, why don't you go take a shower?" He offered.

Daphne rolled her eyes internally, thinking that if he did not like the way she smelled or looked, he could just stay away from her! She would happily abide.

Lucifer grabbed onto his coat again as he walked out the door, saying as he went, "The water is warm to the left. And. . . I eat quite fast but take your time."

Daphne frowned, unsure of what he meant by that last line, but he had shut the door again, and made sure to lock it this time.

Daphne did not want to listen to the devil but she felt quite disgusted with herself as she used to take a shower every day, so she entered the restroom and took her clothes off, stepping into the large shower place.

Many things here were quite similar to what she was used to, including the shower place. She turned the knob left, and at once, burning hot water sprayed out of the sprinkler from the wall.

"Ah!" Daphne jumped back, a patch of her skin reddening, which was very noticeable amongst her pale skin. She edged around the wall, turning the knob back until the water was warm for her to take a shower.

---

Lucifer entered the dining room, where everyone had arrived already except for the master, Zagon Black. No one ate and they looked over at him when they saw someone enter the room.

Upon seeing him, Doyle's expression darkened as he moved his wrist around underneath the table, the pain shooting up his arm.

Lucifer ignored everyone as he pulled his chair out and sat down, crossing his legs together as he took a sip of water from the glass on the table.

No one spoke, and it was nothing weird as people rarely spoke to each other in this family when they did not have to. Surprisingly, the first one to break the silence was Lucifer.

He scanned the room, his eyes landing on his youngest sister. He tapped his hand against the dining table, thinking about what Daphne had said.

Then, he leaned forward, his back straightening as he said, "Calindra Black."

Calindra, who had been wondering where the disgusting girl was, was surprised to be called as she flinched, "Yes?"

She quickly realized that it was her favorite brother that was calling her, and her eyes sparkled with enthusiasm as she sat up straighter, ignoring the glare she was receiving from her biological brother, Doyle.

Lucifer lazily sighed in a disappointed manner as he played around with the golden fork on the table, "Haven't I told you many times before?"

"Hm?" Calindra wondered what he was talking about.

Lucifer's eyes suddenly shot towards her as he dropped the fork onto his plate, creating a loud and irritating crashing sound, "Stay away from my belongings and my people."

It did not take much for Calindra to realize that he was talking about that girl, and at once, she drew her eyebrows together. Why was everything revolved around that dumb idiotic girl now?! What love potion did that evil vixen feed her brother for him to be so crazy over her?!

"What do you mean?" She replied, her voice angry.

"You know perfectly well what I mean. Stay away from her." Lucifer ordered.

It was the second time someone had told her to stay away from the girl today, and Calindra was so annoyed she was going to stomp out of the room, but her mom spoke for her.

"Lucifer, that is not how you speak to your younger sister," Cerelia muttered softly, wanting to stand up for her daughter but also slightly afraid of this young master devil.

Everyone in this family was scared of Zagon Black, who appeared pleasant and cool on the outside, but was a true devil inside. He was brutal, cruel, heartless, to everyone, which also included his family when he needed to.

So, no one ever dared to truly get him mad. . . Except perhaps, his son that was most like him.

As the oldest child in the Black family, Lucifer was also feared amongst everything in the family, except his father. As a devil, he was more fierce and more dangerous than all his other younger brothers.

"She broke my rules, so I am just warning her. She should know her place from now on," Lucifer asserted, turning his head around slightly as he lifted his hand up, signaling for the maid behind him to bring the food up.

He was starving and it seemed like his father did not have a great sense of time.

Just as the maid had brought the food up for Lucifer and placed a plate with a lamb chop on it in front of Lucifer, Zagon Black entered the room, his eyes landing on the maid behind Lucifer.

"It seemed like you did not wait for me," he commented.

Lucifer did not respond and instead began chopping up the piece of medium rare lamb, and Zagon Black did not question his eldest son any further. He was used to this son's attitude by now and did not bother to try and scold him anymore.

The rest of the food was brought up for the rest of the family and after everyone had begun eating, a soft voice came from the corner of the room, "Brother, where is the girl?"
