Breakfast (1)

"What's wrong?" Lucifer raised one eyebrow as his eyes gleamed dangerously, "Hurry and go change. We don't have forever."

Daphne frowned, very unwilling to wear something so hideous, but in the end, she could only drag herself into the bathroom and get changed.

As she went, Lucifer smiled as he hummed softly and sat down on the chair near the door, crossing his legs together. Did she really think he would let her wear that dress in front of other people again?!

Of course not! Did she not notice the way his annoying little idiot brothers were looking at her at dinner last night? He obviously needed to do her a favor and find the most perfect outfit for her.

Daphne looked at herself in the mirror, looking like a beggar on the streets. How could she?!

She was Daphne Seraph, the most talented young fashion designer in the world, a fashion icon! And now, she had to wear this. . . sack?!

Daphne clenched her teeth together tightly, comforting herself that this would not last forever as she pulled the door open and stomped out, avoiding Lucifer's gaze.

Lucifer looked at the outfit and stopped humming as his lips turned down again. Why did she still look good in that outfit?

He stood up, his nose wrinkling as he still thought that the outfit looked too good on her. Did he need to get an uglier one?

Lucifer pinched the area of skin in between his eyebrows, thinking hard. How about a trash bag?! He opened his eyes, thinking that was a good idea. But when he saw the annoyance and anger on Daphne's face, he thought again, and decided that this would do for now.

"Let's go," he said, pulling the door open in a good mood again as he stepped aside, allowing Daphne to walk through first before following closely behind.

They entered the large dining hall, and once again, everyone was there already.

When they entered, heads turned and Daphne could clearly hear several exclamations and gasps when they saw her outfit, but what could she do? The devil seemed quite happy about it right now.

Once again, it was only Lucifer's father and mother, all his siblings, and the main mistresses. The other 11 mistresses weren't allowed in the main dining room.

Lucifer pulled out his chair, looking around as he noticed that there was no chair for Daphne, which she noticed as well.

He sat down and then turned around, placing one hand onto his lap as he tapped it gently, looking at Daphne.

She looked back at him, wondering what he meant by that. Did he want her to fold the napkin for him? Was she his maid or something?

Seeing that she wasn't moving, Lucifer sighed, tapping his lap again, "Stupid. Come sit."

Daphne's eyes widened as she looked at his lap and then scanned the room. Everyone's eyes were on her, and she felt an especially burning gaze coming from a girl sitting towards the end of the table.

For some reason, the way that girl was looking at her struck a certain chord, and the next second, Daphne had stepped around the chair and sat down sideways, straight onto Lucifer's lap.

Perhaps he was also surprised at how quickly she agreed, and his hands moved up to midair awkwardly, not sure of where to hold onto. Then, the next second, he smiled softly, thinking that his little girl picked up quickly.

Good. He liked smart women.

Daphne had also not expected herself to act that way, but by the time she had realized what she had done, it was too late already, for she had sat down on his broad but sturdy legs already, and it was too late to get back up.

Her eyes moved towards the girl that had somehow ignited something in her brain, and saw that the girl's expression had worsened. Daphne was not at all bothered by the girl's expression, knowing that the girl was upset by her, but for no reason, she was slightly annoyed at the girl.

From the front of the table, Zagon Black looked at his son and Daphne, continuing to eat again as he drew his attention away from the new "guest" at their manor.

Lucifer adjusted her position slightly, reaching his hands out to the sides of her, making her feel slightly awkward as she could see from the corner of her eye his face right behind her.

She gulped, focusing on the food but it was hard as he ate right behind her.

After seeing that the vampire had drank blood tea, Daphne was quite surprised to see that the devils ate normal food just like humans. Meat, bread, and even jam! It all looked so delicious to her right now.

Lucifer dropped his fork as he reached for a slice of bread, taking his knife and beginning to spread what looked like strawberry jam onto the bread. Daphne watched him, gulping as she didn't know if she was allowed to eat or not.

After he had spread the jam, he placed the fork back down and pulled his arm back, stopping in front of Daphne's mouth. She pulled her chin back in surprise, slightly in a daze after sitting there like a statue for so long.

She turned her head back, looking at him in a way that asked him whether the bread was for her.

Lucifer looked back at her, moving the bread closer to her mouth so it touched her lips without saying anything.

Seeing this, Daphne smiled as she took the bread from him, holding it with both hands as she muttered, "Thank you."

However, before she could even enjoy two bites from the long-awaited food, she heard a high-pitched girl's voice suddenly speak, "Brother, where did you get that girl from?"
