News of past and present

Practicing the martial aura changing technique was a difficult task, a cultivators aura is their heart and soul so changing it had high risks involved. Even back in Ying Yue's past life, when the knowledge of it were quite well spread many avoided practicing it because of the high risk. More or less often you would hear stories of people who had attempted at practicing the technique and ended up losing their minds in the process. Fortunately Ying Yue had practiced the technique before in her past life and knew all the correct steps to take in order to not end up with failure. This gave her a huge advantage over other cultivators attempting it.

Ying Yue was one of the youngest top cultivators in her past life. Her power, understanding and potential gave her a status of being a top class genius in cultivation. Many argued that if she had been born a man she would have reached even further on the cultivation path at an even younger age. After all in the past the belief of men having higher and better potential and understanding than women still existed. However, further on this was proven wrong with many many women reaching further than men and getting higher statuses in the cultivation world. The once men dominated cultivation world has since the past evened out and become more gender neutral.

Several hours later Ying Yue had reached the second level of the martial aura changing technique which was enough for her to be able to keep it activated for longer time and not get recognised. She stopped practicing her martial aura technique and decided to have a meal with her uncle in the dining room. Her uncle had come back by now and was already sitting down at the table when she arrived. It had been awhile since they last had a meal together. As she had gone into cultivation for several days and had food delivered to her room by the servants ever since she started living with her uncle they hadn't had the chance to properly sit down together to have a meal.

"Yue'er are you sure you don't want your father to know that you are still in Sunset Mist Town?"

Uncle Feng Dai looked at her, concerned.

"It is better this way for now uncle, the less who knows the less danger I'm in. He is my father, I am pretty sure I know that he wouldn't be able to hide the fact that I am still here to my brother."

"Well considering that he was so relieved over the news that you were ok and elated over the fact that you found a good master that he shouted it out so that the whole Jiang manor could hear it might be for the best."

Uncle said and sighed.

Ying Yue chuckled.

"Haha, that is just like father"

To Ying Yue of this life her father is her treasure, just as much of a treasure she is to him. She lost her father at a young age to a war in her past life and in this life she never wanted it to happen again.

"How is my brother Li Jun by the way? How did he act?"

"He acted restrained, your father didn't pay much attention to him, especially since he was responsible for your disappearance. I could also see is true colors were also now showing in his eyes. He has started to look at your father with great resentment. Just in case I made sure that your father's currently bodyguards, who are good friends with me and your father since your father's general days during the war, is keeping and eye so that nothing happens to him."

Jiang Li Jun had apparently not gotten their father's favor back after he left Ying Yue in the forest. Instead their father had been blaming his first and former favorite son for the incident which made Li Jun resent him and thirst for an opportunity to take his father's place as the head of the family. He considered his three younger brothers no threat as they, in his opinion, had nothing to show while he had smarts, strength and numbers.

"Based of my brother's real personality which was revealed to me that night it doesn't surprise me. Then how about the Heavenly sects which I asked you to look up?"

The Ying Yue of this life naturally had heard the stories of the three Heavenly sects, the Heavenly Dew sect, the Heavenly Flame sect and the Heavenly Breeze sect and it has roughly passed 300 years since she was betrayed by her disciple So Young and killed by Heavenly Breeze's sect master Hong Guang Lui and Heavenly Flame's sect master Gen Fengge. But what she had heard was that her disciple, So Young, had found her dead in her office from failing a breakthrough into the third immortal realm. And after that the Heavenly sects had all gone into hiding to prepare for a war against the rivaling Hell sects. But Ying Yue knew that when she was alive she and her sect had a good relationship with the Hell sects while there was only a pact going on between her Heavenly Dew sect and the Heavenly Flame sect and Heavenly Breeze sect. But she had an idea as to why they would rage war against the Hell sects.

During her past life the Hell sects were rumored to have many riches that could increase ones martial arts by a thousand fold to reach unimaginable levels. The Hell sects at the time were mostly in hiding, trying to keep away from the public, making them even more suspicious and mysterious. However Ying Yue had former traveling comrades and friends in the Hell sects and knew that the rumors were just rumors and she thought it was obvious that they weren't true so she did not pay too much heed to them.

Gen Fengge and Hong Guang Lui was however blinded by the rumors and knew of the relationship that Ying Yue had with the Hell sects. At the same time they knew that without the power of the Heavenly Dew Sect they would have no chance to destroy the Hell sects and steal their rumored martial art riches. So they made contact with So Young and killed Ying Yue.

However there hasn't been much rumors about the Heavenly sects and the Hell sects after they went into hiding. The only reason that everyone still remembers the Heavenly sects and the Hell sects is because the Heavenly sects were mighty during her former life's time and the hell sects were so mysterious. Both groups are a huge part of the history of this world.

"What I've heard is that the Heavenly sects and the Hell sects are currently having a war against each other. Around 50 years ago the Heavenly sects with So Young, Gen Fengge and Hong Guang Lui started attacking the Hell sects with little success and they are still going on fighting until today. Most of it happening in the shadows. So far I've heard rumors about the Heavenly sects winning and the Hell sects being close to destruction. There's really not much more information I could get about it."

"Thank you uncle Dai! How about the list of herbs I gave you this morning? Have you already found them all?"

"Yue'er you are really making sure not to forget anything. Unfortunately I did not find all the ingredients that were on the list but I got about half. I put them on the table over there for now."

Feng Dai pointed at a table in the corner of the room that had a basket with herbs on it. There was enough herbs to make a couple of the pills that Ying Yue wanted to make. Seeing the basket Ying Yue gives uncle Feng Dai a smile and thank him. With that they continue their conversation with more light topics as they eat their dinner together.

A rare chapter after months of being MIA. I haven't had the time to focus on anything else but work and studies for this whole time. I have written the chapter when I have been able to but it is really hard to continue like this. But I do not want this story to end here. I still do not have anytime to write almost so do not expect a chapter anytime soon. But I thank you for being extremely patient with me and coming back to follow the story when I am able to publish a new chapter. It means a lot. Once I have more time I will do stuff like go through and fix errors in previous chapters and set goals for completing chapters faster. For now still bear with the extremely slow updates. Once again thank you for your patience. I hope you enjoyed this chapter. :)
