Chapter one

Once upon a time in the Kingdom of Dalaska...

"Waiter! My bill..." Doham asked as he steadily dropped his glass on the well decorated table.

The table was covered with a stunning white table cloth and also decorated by a vase of bright lilies.

Before him was the empty plate, though crumps of left overs were seen, and a fork, knife and spoon, which aimed at revealing he had eaten with them all.

Doham gently took the paper napkin and cleaned part of his lips which had been soiled by the food he ate. His eyes were then fixed at the waiter who walked towards him with the bill.

"Sir, it's 100£ " said the waiter, looking backwards and with a shove of a hand, he ordered a young girl to take away the empty plate.

"Give me a minute! " Doham said, dipping his hand into his trousers' pocket.

He was actually looking for his wallet. His hands made its way into each and every pocket his trouser had, but to no avail.

"Where did I keep my wallet? I hope it's not...." Doham thought.

His mind was brought back to the last place he went to before entering the restaurant.

'Bingo'

He realised he forgot his wallet in his best friends workshop.

"Damn it!" he cried out in his thoughts. He gave a quick glance at the waiter before him and then continued searching his pocket like he had kept it there.

How was he going to explain himself to the waiter before him?

"I can't see my wallet.." he remarked. The impatient waiter looked curiously at him, his look didn't really detect whether he was angry or not.

"Sir, you better do something about it, because you're not leaving here without paying..." Said the waiter, still with an unexplainable expression on his face.

"I get it..... but I really came in here with my wallet...I think it was stolen." Doham uttered, that was the best excuse he knew could work in his situation.

The expression on the waiter's face didn't look at all pleasant. He was indeed furious.

He had witnessed this sort of behaviour from those in the LOWER CLASS. They would come to the restaurant just to eat a free meal and then go blaming others for stealing their imaginary money that never existed.

But Doham wasn't that kind of hungry geek, he was sure before entering the restaurant that he had the capacity to pay for his meal.

The unfortunate thing was that he was dressed like one from the Lower Class and this made it difficult to convince the waiter and everyone which had their eyes on him.

"If you think you can come here and eat for free...you must be crazy..." Said the waiter furiously.

The atmosphere in the restaurant became tense and the sound of gigglings and mummers could be heard from the people in the restaurant.

Doham was in a very disgraceful and indignified situation. He hated this but he couldn't do anything to save himself out of it, all he did was wait to see the waiters next reaction. Only then would he know what to do next.

"You're from a Lower Class, but you still have the guts to come here... SECURITY!!! " The waiter cried out.

Two huge men that stood at the entrance, walked to the scene .

The waiter gave them instructions to beat him up. After all, he was from a Lower Class, even if he was beaten to death, that won't mean anything.

In the Kingdom of Dalaska there was a huge distinction between the Nobles and the Lower Class. Those from the Lower Class weren't allowed to own a business, they could only work for the Nobles to survive. They were overlooked as a nobody in the society. Even the life of a Noble's dog was considered more precious than theirs.

What a pity!

All the attention was drawn on him. People laughed, gossiped and others kept staring. No one desired to help him.

Doham looked at the two huge men before him. They were huge but he was also good in martial arts. He could bring them all down.

"No..I need to help him.." a young lady remarked.

Before Doham could take a step, a girl ran before him. She was dressed like a servant who works in the restaurant. She moved closer to Doham.

"Wait! He's my cousin.. He didn't mean to cause trouble..." She said.

"He's your cousin!! Let him go " said the waiter.

This young lady is also from a Lower Class, but she's loved by everyone around her. She gained favour in the eyes of both her co-workers and superiors in the restaurant.

" Sorry, I'll pay " she continued.

She took out her little purse. But when she opened it, she had only 100£ left.

"How much is it?" She asked.

"It's 100£ " said the waiter.

"Ugh! Oh God.. my last savings." Mona thought.

Mona handed her ' last ' to the waiter.

"Sorry for the misunderstanding" She said once again.

"There's eventually no problem..." said the waiter.

"Sir, sorry for the embarrassment earlier.." He continued.

Doham didn't answer him, he was lost in his thoughts.

"Who's she? She's not just pretty but kind and clever..." Doham thought.

Mona smiled softly at Doham, escorting him out of the restaurant.

She looked backwards to see if anyone was behind them and she immediately faced the handsome guy before her.

"You shouldn't have done that.." Doham said.

"That's my decision..." She snapped.

Doham took hold of her hand and kissed it softly. Their eyes clashed, it was like time stopped ticking.

"I'm Doham" he said still gazing at the shocked lady. Mona couldn't believe her eyes. Her face became pale and her body was tensed in such a way that she didn't move an inch. She looked at her hand then back at the handsome strangers face.

She couldn't deny it even if she wished, he was gorgeous and intimidating. This made her feel so weak before him and she hated this feeling.

"May I know yours?" he asked politely. She felt like everything around her was some sort of romantic scenery but she couldn't resist it, the effect he had on her.

"Mona..." She squirmed, her voice was barely heard.

Doham noticed how nervous she was after he let go of her hand. Her cheeks were glowing red and her legs were freakingly unstable, she wasn't even able to hold up his gaze.

"Don't overthink it, just my gratitude for the trouble" he said with disgust.

"The trouble?" Mona thought with a frown.

"I didn't ask for a savior, anyways" he continued.

Mona was perplexed and at the same time disgusted by the man before her.

"Ungrateful!" she voiced out.

"Like you can talk, thought you lost your tongue for a second" he remarked.

Mona laughed and walked in front of him courageously, the tensed-love-stricken attitude was gone, it was bad for him because he had awoken the bad side of her.

"Maybe the disgrace you felt in there wasn't enough, you wouldn't want me to add fuel to your flames, do you?" He looked at the lady before him and had doubts if she was the same girl he had tried to look down on. She looked at him patiently, she didn't even blink, she was so curious to see his next reaction.

"My bark is worse than your bite" he responded.

"I knew you wouldn't contain it, but maybe this can refresh your memory" she redraws a black leather wallet from her side pocket and waves it before him.

"My wallet?" Doham's shocked and tries to snatch it from her but to no avail.

"You really think I was saving you, let's just call it, pity!" Mona smiles and flings back the wallet into her pocket.

"You won't get away with this, you're just a..."

"Yeah, I know...I'm a very bad person, but everybody does bad things you know and the worst is those from the Noble class are the very same, except that their riches covers it all." Mona smiles back at him and pats him on the shoulder in a reassuring way. Doham shakes off her hand in anger

"I'm going to..."

"This our little secret, don't bother calling the security because they won't believe you "

"You think you're so smart, you can't get away with..."

"You don't need to yell, after all, we're family, hope we never see each other again" Mona says walking away from him into the restaurant.

Doham's hands become tensed, his eyes burning with rage, he begins to follow her but he freezes on the spot after recalling the horrible scene back there.

Nobody would believe him because they all think he's from the lower class, which wasn't the case. And she paid his bills which showed everyone how generous and thoughtful she was, not forgetting that she lied they were family. He couldn't do anything against her and that made him more crazy.

He walked away yet he wished he would meet her again under favourable circumstances, revenge was what he had in mind.
