Chapter 43

The next day was a surprise to both Andreas and Kenzo. They didn't think that Haze would turn up that quickly. After all, the conversation happened only last night. It's quite impressive how fast she'd come for Dionne.

"You're here," said Kenzo, bowing his head lightly to greet her.

She came forward, nodding at him. "I am," she replied, "Why? Am I invisible or something?"

Dionne chuckled, shaking her head. "Don't stress him out, alright, Haze?"

"Fine," Haze agreed, turning her back on the boys. "Let's get started then."

They followed Dionne to her chambers, into her private study. Apart from Haze, Kenzo and Andreas are the first guests she's had here outside her family. Well, Andreas had already been here.

Andreas' eyes landed on the stone he gifted her when he left the palace. "You kept it," he said.
