COLLECTING TEARS
My eyes twitched when I saw the hand of the clock pass at five o clock in the afternoon. Normally, at this time. I am on the road still having my delivery. But, I have Shier and Nadia to look up to.
“Hey! Clocking out already?” I just smiled at Brad, my co-worker.
“Yeah.”
“You have a date?” I rolled my eyes.
“Nah, I don’t. But, I have someone to look for, I guess.”
“What happened to Mr. Goody's shoes?” My eyebrows almost touch, trying to remember who is Mr. Goody's shoes. Then I make a dry smile when I remember it. He is referring to Alcae, my best friend.
For a man like him, he is a little bit nosy.
“He is out of town for a moment,” I said. I don’t know where he is right now.
My hand slipped on the key to my locker, and quickly get my things and lock it again.
“Goodbye, Brad. See you tomorrow.” To my surprise, Brad grabs at my wrist.
