Chapter 17 - Fourth vs Fifth [2]

"Begin!"

The loud voice rang out but the both of them made no move.

Only waiting for the other to make a move.

The crowd also went silent waiting for them to make a move.

But seeing that the audience went silent the fourth Prince made a move to not bore the people.

Unlike the straightforward and skillfull swordsmanship of the first prince, the fourth Prince's was more flashy.

He made showy moves to make an impact on the audience to entertain them.

And the fifth prince responded in kind.

Zyzz immediately formed a formula on his finger and shot out a light beam spell.

Caught off guard, the fourth Prince, Lance instinctively dodge the beam by moving to the side.

However, Zyzz wasn't done yet as a large magic formula formed on the ground where Lance stood.

It was as large as a small house making it difficult for Lance to run away from the incoming attack.

"Heaven's Fall!"

As the fifth prince voice sounded, a large shadow immediately enveloped Lance.

Lance looked at the sky, but the thing he saw wasn't a clear blue sky.

And instead, a large ball of golden energy aiming for him.

He looked at it with a wry smile on his face.

The fight had just began, yet he was already going to lose.

(Just kidding~)

Or so he thought as he gathered energy inside his sword.

His sword became brighter and brighter until it matched the brightness of the golden energy in the sky.

"Heaven's Fall? It's a nice name Zyzz but I'll borrow a part of it for mine."

He said as he pointed his sword at the sky, the golden energy in the sky.

Then, he spoke with a charming smile.

"Heaven's Strike!"

The energy in his sword formed a large refined sword aura and he striked it above.

BOOM!

The large sword aura then collided with the ball of energy and made a terrifyingly big and loud explosion.

Immediately, a barrier that separated the audience from the stage appeared and the dust from the explosion collided with it.

The crowd waited for the dust to settle to see the outcome of the collision.

And to their surprise the fourth Prince was still standing with a smile albeit filled with burns and injuries.

His clothes were ragged and torn all over the place with his face somewhat dark from the smoke.

The reason for that was simple.

The moment the explosion occured he protected his body using an Aeven barrier.

However, due to the fact that that it wasn't able to withstand the impact of the explosion, the barrier was destroyed.

Due to that, he was filled with injuries and burns all over his body.

"It's great right! This is the new spell I've made by increasing the output of the power and instead of focusing on just quantity, I focused on increasing both the quantity and quality."

"With that, I was able to make that very big explosion! Awesome right!?"

Zyzz spoke with much enthusiasm as he began speaking about his spell.

He was really in loved with formulas to the point he became obsessed with them.

Now, all that Lance could do was smile at him wryly.

The contrast between his cute appearance and his destructive power was really great.

Then, he spoke to announce his defeat.

"I lost, at least it was not a humiliating defeat."

At his words, Zyzz smiled happily as he cheerfuly thanked his brother.

"Hehehe~ Thank you for helping me test out my new formulas Lance!"

"Haha... You're welcom—"

Thud!

He fell to the floor before he finished his sentence.

He took the full blow of both their strongest attack. It was expected that he will take some serious damage.

As he fell unconscious to the floor, the medical staff hurried to take him to the infirmary.

Afterwards, Zyzz also left the stage as he headed back.

The next match will be between a man and a woman.

The man had a bulky body and used a sledge hammer to fight.

He was one of the people who had the most kills in the qualifying match.

Bullying the weak while having a smiling face, he looked like a lunatic.

As for the girl, not much can be said about her.

Her face was ordinary and she looked a bit pale.

The match between the two most people would already determine the outcome just by looking at them.

However, they were wrong and the girl was stronger.than they thought.

They seem to have forgotten that the girl was one of the people who came on top in the qualifying match.

"Begin!"

The loud voice once again sounded and signaled the start of the fight.

The one who made a move first was the girl using the dual karambit in her hands, she slashed it towards the bulky man.

The bulky man was startled at how fast the girl in front of him moved.

Still he was able to react, by twisting his body to side he was able to avoid the slash.

However, the girl didn't stop at just that, she lowered her body to ground and that made the bulky man surprised.

He wondered what the girl was about to do but he didn't just sit still and waited for her to attack.

He grasped the sledgehammer in his hands tighter than before and slammed it down to the ground where the girl stood.

Yet, something puzzled him, the girl that was supposed to be squashed wasn't there.

(Shit! Where's did that bitch go!?)

"You're dead."

A voice sounded in his ears and startled him but before he was able to react much less reply.

He slumped down to the ground and dropped dead.

He died not even knowing how he was killed.

The crowd went silent at the unexpected scene in front of their eyes.

But they soon cheered for the girl.

It didn't matter, it was entertaining as the underdog won.

"How did that big guy even die?"

"I don't know either, after that girl disappeared the next thing I knew that man dropped to ground."

"You guys wouldn't know it, after all you are all too weak."

"Huh? Then do you know how that big guy die?"

"Of course not, I'm as weak as you guys after all."

"..."

Although most of the people in the arena wasn't able to see what had just happened.

All the experienced fighter in the arena did and that also includes Aither.

He was watching the fight just now and he was amazed on how that girl moved.
