Magician's world

One of the things David introduced to this planet was a new form of magic theory earned him the title of archwizard, before the time of David magic was not uncommon things to normal people, but just like how noble keep their bloodline in high regard, magician too kept their bloodline and knowledge in high regard each tower or sect saved their arts scroll or tomes in a very secretive place knew only a handful of people. For the commoner with a little knowledge and ability to use magic, fire magic was used the same way as a matchstick and water were used the same way as a washlet.

People also thought of magic as a power that everyone had, bestow to everyone from the mercy of God to intelligent being like human and demihuman.

It wasn't that monsters could not use magic but surprisingly in Noseth only human and demihuman could use magic, except some special case of creatures like Pegasus and Naga but most were docile creatures, though Naga was more close to demihuman than a monster.

However, there were rumors that numbers of ferocious monsters able to use magic existed. For example; the big snow monkeys may live beyond the white cliff at the opposite side of hills and plateau in the north separated by the strait, in the west at the edge of vast desert beyond the vast sea nomadic people could some time saw an image of a giant bird. In the sea, big serpent, shark, and squid would attack some unfortunate fishing ship but people could only saw the image of giant shark devoured a fishing ship in one fell swoop or giant squid dragged the crew to the bottom of the deep sea, they could not guess whether those monsters could use magic or not.

Thus Noseth people believe that only their continent was the place protected by gods.

Anyway, magic could be used by almost everyone and was not prohibited as long as the user obeyed the law of his place.

However, to be able to use efficiently and proficiently was another matter. For a human, only chosen men and women could use it easily, most of them were either noble or those of magician's bloodline. People had received this as a fact, that why noble and mages could preserve their privilege for so long.

As for David, he thought otherwise, he knew that many people had a potential to become full fledge magic user because he could saw every people stats and potential, David confusing was over after he asked his system "Iris" about the origin of magic power and know the reason why commoner can use only a simple magic. He then started to encouraged people in his domain to learn and use magic, at that time David was still an upstart baron who just raised to noble ranking after slain a Giant during his times as an adventurer.

The continent of Noseth people especially human race worshiped great god Anshar the Lightbringer, while many demihumans tribes or clans worshiped other gods as they wanted. The Church of Anshar the Lightbringer hold the dominant power in the central area, but this did not mean that the other gods were ignored. Kishar, Marduk, and many other gods worshippers were not discriminated. However, the greed of men ran deep and within the white robe many priests wore inside contained men more sinister than normal people, the good ones were many but the bad ones were not much less than the good. David just did not want to mess with those bad pontiffs when his power was not enough.

While the church was too powerful to tackle down, the magician's society was not that much hard compared to the church. He using his title as Archwizard to directly challenged them to an all-out fight between sect or finished only the head in the duel in front of the mass, and secretly deal with troublesome one using scheme behind the scene. One of the reason David who without any strong foothold in the magician world could subdue other sects and towers was his young beautiful companion who would later become one of David queens,

Medea, the thunder-wielding ice queen archwizard famed for her beauty and knowledge. A prodigy pure-blood witch, her method of using water spells followed by lighting was a sure kill technique, the method was created by her from the young age by combining both her mother water magic and father wind magic.

Her father was master of Asanee Sect and grandmaster of the wind tower, the man could summon a thunderstorm and call forth lighting, surely if this man was stood in front of David at that time he could be in tough situation, but the man was a doting father, thus he became a supporter of David instead of an enemy.

But it seems like it won't be important anyway since the grandmaster died mysteriously a few weeks after his daughter married. Another important person in the Sect, the mother and oldest son of the grandmaster too had disappeared around that time without a hint. Since David became grandmaster's son in law, everything that the Asanee sect accumulated over the hundred's years belong to him, including the influence of the grandmaster of wind tower using his wife as a proxy.

Some may suspect that David was the culprit for the mystery around Asanee sect at that time but there was no evidence that could point to David, thus David was deemed as innocence.

Having Asanee sect's discipline as his own, the human resources of Asanee sect had helped him a lot with his battle for supremacy in magician society, and the tangible things like money and jewels were one thing that never became disadvantage having a surplus,

One thing David noticed was that this planet had not called magic with names like mana or qi, in this world, it was known that the power to create extraordinary phenomenon was "Force of nature" or force for short. Force is all around, it was in the earth, the water, the living being even the air. There was a lullaby that sang "Force is in the air, Force is in the air everywhere I look around."

Force really was like an illusion, you did not know if it was true or not but you must believe in, that what a rule for every intelligent being of Noseth to know.

If you used force to make you physically stronger by circulated the force inside of your body, you would fall under the category of the martial artists. Most noble tend to adopt this method and became knights if their ability was not enough to become at least of archwizard rank. Some may open the Dojo, joined the free knight's order in case they did not want to swear an oath of fealty to any lord, or just became wonder martial artist.

If you used force to explode or take shape outside your body, something like called a ball of water or created a ball of fire, you would be called a magician. Most mages would study at some magic academy or sect that expert in their most proficient attribute, Asanee sect was one of those sects a famous one at that.
