Chapter 3 Get up

The man raised his hand, slapping the girl to the floor. He then grabbed her by her hair and tried to throw her before a hand grabbed his wrist.

" Let's calm down and leave things calmly. I will cover your bills, so please leave the girl alone."

Licht who was sitting a moment ago appeared before him like a ghost. The man scanned his body, realizing Licht was lighter and less muscular than him. Thus, he thought he could overpower him with his raw strength, but that was wrong.

He pressed his arm forward, trying to throw off his balance, but Licht just tightened his grip. His fingers were like the claws of an ice eagle that was able to pierce the steel.

Kacha*

The sound of bone echoed in the hall, making others quiet down since no one imagined Licht would be this strong. The man wailed on the ground while holding his broken wrist as he looked at Licht with hatred burning inside his eyes.

He reached for his back, pulling out a dagger from his pants, but to his surprise, Licht was already pointing his neck with his sword. His cold amber eyes were looking at him with a such calm look that would send chill to the veterans.

" George!"

His companions got up from their table and surrounded Licht who was looking at them like they were pieces of garbage.

" Ah, this is why I hate noisy places."

Daemon grabbed two men with his hands and lifted them like rag dolls. His palms were big enough to hold grown men's skulls like it was a ball.

" Indeed, these kinds of scams are everywhere."

Mikael pulled out his pistols from his holsters, aiming at their heads while biting down the pig. His calm eyes were sharp as the hawk that was locked on their prey. Unlike Daemon who was a huge giant, Mikael gave off the vibe of a grim reaper.

" Tsk, noisy!"

Leah appeared behind the man who was trying to sneak up on them as she held her dagger at his throat. The man shivered from the fear of death because he couldn't hear her footsteps at all despite his profession as a scout.

" Oh, this is getting interesting."

Cynthia laughed, creating multiple spells to bind the rest of the group down. Her cheerful laugh sounded like a torturer that came from hell to drag them down as their cold sweat broke out.

Furthermore, they also saw a woman who was sitting at the table take out her rifle and aim at their heart like it was nothing. They could see her cold glare behind her hat.

" Captain, what shall I do with these men?"

Licht opened his mouth as he observed the men's reactions. They showed their fear and obedience through their faces, but deep inside Licht knew this kind of people would rarely try to change themselves as they tend to continue living as lowlives.

They would leech off from others, living on the tears of the innocent citizens.

" Call the guards and send them to the jail. They will be upheld for their crimes. I will personally write a letter for the mayor."

Regina spoke coldly while putting her rifle down. The men gulped at her look and understood she was a rose with the most poisonous thorns because she bit their tails off and cut off their escape routes by ensuring their trial with her letter.

" Please, let us go."

The man who started this tried to plead for his life, but they never showed him any pity as Licht cut his hair clean. As a master swordsman who had been honing his skills among the northerners his skill was no joke and he was the inheritor of unique Elemental enchantment magic. Hence, it wasn't a big deal to cleave off his hair.

Clap*

The people cheered as they guessed their identities by their ethics. It was obvious that they were law enforcers by the looks of their style and didn't harm anyone except for the perpetrator's hair.

Sniff*

" Thank you, young master."

The young girl wiped her tears as she got up from the ground while grabbing Licht's hand. She carefully took the handkerchief that Licht gave him and wiped her face with it. It was fragrant and soft even if it was a man's handkerchief.
