Chapter 1- No way this is happening

In the streets of New York, Bronx, on a seemingly normal hot day in summer, a boy of age 16 with black hair, brown eyes and peach colored skin with an average face could be seen walking with his backpack.

Kain, as he is called, could be seen in deep thoughts as he walked at a normal pace with his head down not minding anything else. Today was the last day of school for him so he was just heading home back from yet another boring school day.

'sigh.. nothing changes, it doesn't matter whether I'm a freshman or a soon to be Sophomore, everyday its all just repetitive and boring ugh- ' He silently lamented about his boring way of life.

"huh?? What's this?" He was about to mourn some more for his life when he suddenly realized there were many Blue Particles floating around him.

"What... am I imagining things during day time .-. " He was baffled at the sight of these Particles and thought he was merely hallucinating yet deep within him he so wished it was true. So he thought of doing the most logical thing to see if he was hallucinating or not.

And so he did, he started looking all around him at other people, he soon got his answers.

"What are these Blue Particles?" "Am I hallucinating??", He heard many similar exclamations from other people nearby.

"what the hell- I could have sworn I didn't take any drugs for days now, why am I hallucinating" One 'gentleman' suddenly shouted, making almost all heads turn to him.

While Kain realizing that he was not imagining the Blue Particles didn't dare touch them and just stared at these seemingly Blue transparent Particles, while resuming his walk to get back home. He was deeply thinking about the Particles, he thought of many guesses on what they could be but didn't dare think they were true.

When Kain was halfway home, where it was rather quiet with barely any people in sight and a Deli nearby, the Blue Particles which were 'quiet' till now suddenly started rushing into Kain.

"W-what", Kain was taken by surprised as the Particles entered his body.

"I had thought they might explode but this.. going in my body!? that was unexpected" He thought internally and he halted, helpless to do anything to stop the Particles and just watched it happen.

"Ahhhh" "arghhh." The moment he turned around to look at the few people around him, he saw the most gruesome sight he had seen in his 16 years of life. The people- Former humans, that were around him had suddenly started bleeding through their skin, their skin slowly turning green and their skins started peeling off while cracks also appeared on it. The eyes started peeling off, now all that remained is an empty socket.

'No way this is happening.. these people are starting to turn into zombies!? This started happening right after the Particles rushed into them, but it also went in me, yet im perfectly fine' As the severity of the situation hit him, he slowly dropped his backpack and started walking toward the Deli beside him.

'The Deli should be much safer than the streets, as it would have less people' Kain silently pondered as he approached the door of the Deli, and carefully opened the door while closing it even more carefully.

As he turned around to see the situation inside the Deli he saw a gruesome sight of 1 men on top of another, the one on top eating the one below savagely despite him already being dead.

'R.I.P the guy below probably survived like me and then got attacked by the zombie, sad just sad' Kain despite saying that had an apathetic look as the man got swallowed down. Then he silently but quickly moved around the Deli in search of a weapon.

'Aha this would do just fine' He thought as he eyed a pole in a corner, that was used for employee's and customers to bring down items that were high up.

'Since the man below has gotten eaten, I presume he will soon turn into a zombie as well, I should finish the zombie before I have to deal with both of them at once, ' Kain thought, as he slowly moved behind the zombie while it was still feasting on the poor man, unaware of its pending doom.

'Okay, here I go' Kain swung the pole with all his strength, which is nothing to scoff at as he works out quite often.

'bang!' 'bang' 'bang.' Loud noise was heard as the pole bashed in the head and right after, Kain mercilessly continued bashing the head till slimy liquid started pouring out from the zombies head as it squirmed in the floor while making grunts.

'Anggg' hggg' 'ah-' Eventually it stopped making any noises and lay dead.

Suddenly a red sword with black linings on it floated right in front of his head which he took by the hilt. Right after, he realized there were numbers on the corner of his sight in right upper side.
