Emmy's Beasts Children

In the dark, under a strange-looking tree, a lady around twenty-something could be seen clenching her stomach and looking pitiful. She seemed to be in pain and was breathing heavily. Above her in the sky, the color was very black and blurry. Rain started falling, and the thunder was clapping loudly and violently. The wind was very thick, slapping everything harshly. The lady stood with the support of the tree, using one hand to prop herself against the tree and the other hand to hold her stomach tightly. She breathed out and continued moving weakly. "Seems like I'm not going to escape this. What type of poison is this?" she wondered. She unbuckled her belt to relieve some pain, then sat down somewhere and groaned while her hand wandered around on the wet ground until it made contact with something. She picked it up and saw the object with the help of the lightning. The thing was round like a bead, and something joined them together. She did not care about what it was and just swallowed it. She was going to die anyway, at least she ate something. She could not figure out the taste of the thing, but it was surely not normal because as soon as it made contact with her throat, it felt very hot, as if she had drunk hot water that had not cooled. "Sh*t! Even in death, my luck is still very bad," she muttered. She was still lamenting when her aching stomach suddenly stopped aching. She did not have the chance to rejoice when her stomach started swelling up, getting bigger and bigger. It was as if it wanted to burst but, alas, it didn't. She could feel herself in labor. She groaned until something escaped her body - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. She was relieved from both the poison pain and her swollen stomach pain. When she looked at what she had given birth to, she was shocked. Eggs. She had given birth to eggs. And there were six. What happened to the eggs? I had an accident

Of course Emmy did not faint due to stress or because of Angel claiming to be Dimitri's future bride. Emmy's faintness was the handiwork of Cat; she made her faint because she could feel Emmy experiencing complicated emotions and was worried, and secondly, this served as a reminder of her existence. The beasts understood this and could only sigh in frustration.

By the time Emmy woke up, it was already bright in the morning. She sat up and fixed her gaze on her three children who were sleeping by the side of the bed. They seemed to be ready for class as they were already dressed and prepared. Looking at the room's arrangements, she knew that this was the girls' dormitory that she had specially gotten for her children. The previous day's events replayed in her head and she couldn't help but worry again. "It seems like I will have to test those that my children decide to marry, to avoid unwanted trouble," she thought to herself.

"Mother, you are awake, how are you feeling now?" Snow, Sona, and Sonia's voices echoed together, bringing Emmy back to reality.

Emmy smiled. "I have worried my babies. Don't worry, Mom is perfectly fine now." She rubbed Sonia's hair gently.

"Mom, you must have been frightened by that ugly lady, that's why you fainted; your heart couldn't accept the situation immediately," Sona said, trying to cover up so that Emmy wouldn't be aware of Cat and Butterfly staying inside her. She didn't want her to suspect anything.

Hearing Sona's words, Emmy smiled brightly.

"Mom is just worried that we will get exposed," Sonia said before Emmy could reply. "Mother, you know that we are not just humans; we all have the ability to distinguish between right and wrong. Mom need not worry about us; we can ensure our own safety." She gave Emmy a beautiful smile, making her resemble the moon goddess instantly.

"But children..." Emmy was not consoled at all. Who knows if they would act recklessly when they fell in love? Who knows if their partner could be trustworthy? "I don't want any harm to befall My children," Emmy said.

"Mom," Sona called and held Emmy's hand, "Trust your children; we can ensure our safety." She smiled.

Emmy nodded. "I will make sure nothing happens to you all, not in this life." She inwardly vowed, "Alright, I've heard you. Where are your brothers?" she asked.

"The school rules are quite odd; they can't take you to their dormitory because of your gender, and neither can they stay here because of their gender. so they left you here with us," Sona explained, playing with her beautiful hair.

Emmy nodded. "The school rules are not strange at all; that's how it has been from the beginning." She smiled. "What about that Angel girl?" Emmy asked.

"About her, I don't know," Sona replied with a shrug.

Emmy looked at the others with a questioning gaze, but they shrugged as well, indicating that they didn't know.

Of course, they knew, they had knocked her out forcefully and thrown her somewhere. Since she didn't take the way they addressed Emmy as their Mother seriously, they didn't wipe away her memories. But could they tell Emmy that? That was impossible unless they wanted to be lectured.

Emmy smiled lightly. "Oh, I brought you food yesterday..."

"Snow smiled beautifully,"The food is very tempting, so we ate it already, since it was brought here by you we didn't bother to wait for you to wake up, we knew you brought it for us. "She scratched the back of her head shyly."

"No need to be embarrassed; it's for you guys indeed. Let me go and find you something to eat this morning," Emmy said and she was about to leave, But the ladies stopped her.

"No need to stress yourself, Mother. The money you gave us, we have yet to spend it; we are not always hungry, and besides, there are many things around to eat," Sonia said with a smile.

Alright then...."Emmy did not finish her statement when realization sank in; she looked at Sonia weirdly." 'What do you mean there are many things around to eat? Don't tell me you want to eat raw worms, rats, mice, or even a warthog?' Her eyes were wide open.

The ladies remained silent.

"Seeing their expression Emmy was enraged" I'm telling you, that's not allowed. Don't even think of eating that, you all are human now whether you like it or not, you will never eat things like that as long as am alive," her words were directed at all of them.

'Erm...' Sonia rubbed her nose awkwardly. Emmy grasped the meaning behind her words, realizing that while she never ate worms or rats, she did enjoy good meat, even if it was raw. 'The day she introduced rat to Emmy as breakfast, it was out of concern, as she couldn't guess what she likes, so she thought smaller animals would do.'

'I won't eat, I won't eat... We only eat what humans eat,' she said.

"That's more like it. Since you still have some money with you, I will start delivering food for all of you every weekend." She took out some money from her pant pocket and gave it to Sonia. "You all should share this as well in case the amount you have is not enough.'"

"Thank you, Mother," Sonia said with a beautiful smile.

Emmy chuckled. "Alright, dears, allow Mommy to go to work immediately." She hugged them one after the other.

"Be careful on your way, Mother," Snow said.

"I will. You guys should attend class on time as well." Emmy smiled warmly and left.

"Phew," Snow sighed in relief after Emmy left.

"Seems like your luck is quite good, not bad," Sona nodded.

Snow cast a terrifying gaze at Sona. "My luck has always been good," she replied, her cold and aloof self returning. "But that soon-to-be sister-in-law did me a huge favor." She smiled chillingly. "At least if not for her, I wouldn't be sure if mother would come today or not."

"If you are looking for Dimitri's wrath, just refer to that ugly woman as your sister-in-law in front of him," Sonia interjected.

Snow shrugged nonchalantly, and the smile on her lips did not disappear. "The school will record my absence if I leave. What should I do?" she asked Sona.

"Are you asking me this type of question?" Sona looked at Snow as if she was looking at a fool.

Snow rolled her eyes. "I know what to do. I just want your opinion." She folded her arms.

"Maybe you should create the illusion of yourself; that would be better than freezing your existence in their memories," Sonia suggested.

"I love you more sis, your idea is the best option" Snow smiled at Sonia and give Sona a poker face. "I'm off." In a blink, she was no longer in the room.

"What a crazy little phoenix," Sona commented, brushing her hair with her fingers.

"What are you going to do?" Sonia asked Sona. "You don't seem to have any plans," she said.

"I will just go to class," a mirror appeared out of thin air, standing tall and straight in front of Sona. The mirror frame was blue-green in color and was as large and long as the dormey entrance. Sona checked herself in the mirror and, satisfied with her look, the mirror disappeared as soon as she was done admiring her beauty. She looked at Sonia, flashed her a charming smile, and left through the entrance door.

Sonia merely shook her head lightly and bounced on the bed, ready to sleep.

.. .. .. .. .. ..

"Where did you sleep last night?" Standing on the last stairs, Devin was looking at Emmy as if she were a disobedient child.

"Goodness, why do I end up bumping into this pervert?" Emmy thought to herself and blinked. "Yesterday night... I met with an accident," she replied.

"An accident?" Devin paused and scanned her body with his gaze, but he found no traces of any accident. He furrowed his brows, clearly not believing her.

Seeing Devin's unconvinced gaze, Emmy gulped. "It's not a car accident or something. I was just exhausted and fainted on the street. My helper saw me and helped me, so I spent the night there," she explained in the hope that her explanation would stop Devin from questioning her further.

Devin stared deeply at Emmy and noticed her pale face. If he had not stared a little longer, he would not have noticed it. He furrowed his brows and nodded his head. "There is no need to cook breakfast; just go to your room and rest," he said and left in a sour mood.

Emmy was confused. "Why do I feel as if he lost something?" Emmy questioned herself and later shook her head. "Perhaps he has trouble with his work. Better not provoke him now," she thought to herself and went to her room.
