... I spent two weeks trying to "understand" magic and my own body.
As a result, I memorized the [Basic Psychokinesis] magic on my "entire body." It was like having an invisible tattoo of a massive psychokinesis magic circle engraved on my skin.
In addition to [Levitation] and [Binding] I learned two more spells and was in the process of mastering them in these two weeks.
[Orbital Field: To make objects orbit around the user.
Mana: 30 CD: --]
[Telekinetic Choking: To choke or strangle others without physical contact.
Mana: 25 CD: 40 sec]
–Floaaat
Three light weighted books floated around the large living room like paper airplanes.
This was the result of my hard work, my brain could easily control a mass below 3000g for 15 minutes at a minimum and 22 minutes if I pushed myself to my limits. This was a significant improvement.
"It's not enough, considering it took two weeks, but it's adequate."
Of course, its performance had only been boosted, but I was still a long way from mastering it. It was more difficult to master because of its superior performance.
Despite training as efficiently as possible with [Midas Mind] I still had trouble with flipping the pages of the book with my mind.
"Orbital field"
A second later, the books which were suspended in mid-air around me started to spin at a speed of 20cm/sec.
'Yesterday I was able to maintain them for 3min...Let's test out how much I have improved...'
[You have activated skill: Orbital Field. The speed and time you can control may be enhanced by your ability.]
[-15 MP]
'Let's try pushing my limits...'
When I tried pushing my limits the three books started to spin at a speed of 33.3cm/sec, which I got to know through the system's notification.
'Now, slowly widen the range...'
As the gap between me and the books become wider and wider, I finally felt the connection weakening when the radius was about 9m.
"Let's stop with the last offense attack..."
"Telekinetic Choking"
It felt like grasping a soft bun and squashing them under my palms, 'It's a huge improvement...'
When earlier, that is the day when I acquired this skill and tried crushing this book it was like trying to hold a huge iron pipe underneath my palms with no visible effort.
The books spinning apart some 8 meters around me instantly turned into an unrecognizable shape and fell to the ground.
'Let's learn one more spell...'
"I'll get to it later."
This body needed time to recover, and I wouldn't be able to control it if I went straight to the beginner level without first mastering basic psychokinesis.
'Even if I don't know what is the limit of mastering [Basic Psychokinesis] I am not going to proceed with the next level until I feel satisfied.'
I am intending to become the best psyker in the world, but it will take a long time and an endless amount of hard work.
'I should be alive to reach that point...'
'Along with time, hard work, and patience, anyone could achieve anything.'
This was a famous quote often said to me by the orphanage's caretakers.
Though, I don't know if it would fit other people, someone like me, who has a lot of money and a magical system will definitely be a suitable example of this proverb.
'Yet, Time is still an unknown factor...'
With only my skills in psychokinesis, it will definitely be hard to escape from my tragic death.
'I should master some other abilities as a hidden card...obviously, I won't incline towards something like a warrior as it's impossible however, the problem is what will be my ace up in the hole...'
[Basic Spirit summoning.]
[Basic Elemental Magic.]
[Basics of Illusion Magic.]
Magic books of these three properties.
Among them...
Knock, knock.
I felt that mastering [Sprit] related skills will come in handy...
Knock...Knock...
Just when I was about to open a book, someone knocked on the door.
"Master, We have to leave now. Today, we are going to take the hunter bureau's test for hunter license."
"I'll be there in a minute."
I used Psychokinesis to change my clothes. I tried changing them, but my pants kept floating toward my upper body, so I put them on myself.
Going down to the first floor, I saw Ana, Clara, and a herd of bodyguards waiting for my presence.
"Master, Shall we depart?"
"Yes..."
Only after hearing my answer did the bodyguards budge out of their positions, Ana beckoned something before leading me to the garage.
'I hope...I will not become a laughing stock...'
Even after the training, I went through for 2 whole two weeks, my instincts were screaming...'I wonder why...?'
