Emerald Ocean

{Announcement} Got a notification about being put in some kinda promising books event or whatever which I guess could be considered feedback so I'ma get to work on this book again... Gotta finish that there last arc... My little Gieco Lizard deserves death!!! --- Inside a garden full of towering trees untold years old that sadly have inferiority complexes caused by the never ending giant tower that supports the sky that the garden sits in front. Upon the branch of one of the smallest trees in the garden, the last of it's kind of the tallest it's breed of tree was ever been able to grow as well as the oldest, sits a beautiful fairy who seems but the size of a squirrel emotionless sipping tea watching the leaves fall off the leaves of the tree as if having already given up on life when suddenly a wind passes by the eternally still garden and everything gently quakes as the infinite number of lines along the towers base lights up gently with a blazing emerald flame that is bordering on black. As if struck by a earth quake the woman falls out of her chair unbearably shaking as her eyes lock upon a thing far away in the infinitely large garden not a plant, not a tree, but the ground itself. A crazy and hopeful fire begins to burn deep within the beautiful fairies eyes as reaches out her hand and with a determined look shatters the very core of her soul sending a piece of herself out into the earth and herself tumbling listlessly into a deep sleep alone on the branch. Hope still burning in her eyes even as they slowly close and a twisted smile upon her lips. Like a bolt of lightning the core of her soul that was a part of her soul but not at the same time takes flight towards the sky circling around the crown of the small tree twice before gently bumping into the already sleeping woman as if in sorrow before flashing away faster then the eye could see reaching a distance so far you wouldn't be able to walk it in a million years even if you could travel at the speed of light and diving into the soil of a solitary mound of dirty diving deeper and deeper it eventually stops and flashes so bright it can even be suttly seen from the garden above as the deep blue light like the ocean fuses into the very core of an single solitary atom inside the soil as if slipping through a crack. Across a vast and unending expanse of sky a brilliant flash of blue light up the very core of a universe before zooming away in the exact instant it appeared as if nothing their ever mattered not the massive throne, the unending number of people fighting for it, nor the ghastly little hut that's door has never opened in all of its existence and that space has warped the top of that no eyes made of flesh has ever seen and no man has ever hoped to enter. One, Ten, A Hundred, A thousand, A Million, A Billion, an untold number more stars pass by as they begin to trail together before the light finally find a crack. Not in space, not in time, not in anything but itself simply existing like it's always existed. The space between filled with nothing. Diving into the crack without even slowly down the blue light seems to fade from existence as if it was never there. Slowly but surely as the blue light fades so does the crack before with it's last peek a suttle flash of Emerald escapes being vanishing from sight. The gentle beam of light flew out never stopping till it struck a nearby planet. As the light was absorbed by that planets inhabitants something... Awoke.

Ch. 91 Home: Vengeance

"Simple... I just need you to kill them all. Remove all these humans from this city. Leave none behind and wipe out the whole town."

Seeing her bloodlust and crimson eyes I shook my head gently. What's in it for me?

"Anything. I will do anything in my power to get back here after reuniting with my parents."

Frowing I got confused didn't they throw her away to keep her safe from their fight wouldn't they have a solid chance of dieing as well? How does she know they will still be there when she returns?

With a gentle giggle the little girls rage filled and desperate face became proud and arogant. "My mommy won't die so easy... Dumb daddy might be dead though always getting distracted by ladies... He may have died to my mothers hands already."

Nodding at the annoying cliche married couple I took a second to think over her request but shook my head again after.

No. Not because they don't deserve it not because you don't deserve it. Not even because it won't solve your problem but because you don't seem to want it... You are just a kid why lose yourself in such a twisted emotion as revenge? It won't help you to do such a thing. You cannot let this desicion be made by them. You cannot let this slaughter be theirs as well. You want revenge but you let yourself become nothing more then a tool to those emotions. So no... I will not help you in your revenge. So I fully intend to wipe out this whole town and not out of hatred or promise with you... I will do it because I want to. That way you won't owe me... I might just offend your parents if I take advantage of a little girl in her time of need... So toddle on little one I have a bunch of people to kill. Turning around I shrouded my wings in clouds. I assume your kind hearted warden will handle the matter of your body for you after my job is done. Oh and I won't be killing all the humans... Only most of them I got people I'd like to hang on to for now...

"Hmm... I don't quite understand what you mean but... You are clearly gonna help me anyways... So thank you... I think I can handle it as long as you wipe out all these people."

------ Eliza, Shadow of the Light

Seeing the small beast leave the cave in a uncarring manner my heart stopped... That little creature... It can surely complete the deal that was requested but would it? The rumors spoke of it killing evil. However, those were only rumors and the people in this town... it's worse then demanding a single death such a task is the murder of hundreds... Some may be innocent. I had spent years as the guard turning away travelors to keep them safe from the people of this town but even my position with the church didn't give me much authority here. The leader of this town is just as bad as the citizens. He had been the one who insisted that the orphanage group slept here after all he started all of this just so he could taste the little boys. With a heavy heart Eliza turned towards the light barrier... If it wasn't for the aura of life on that little thing I would never trust it... That life... It's always been told in the church of light for many years now that those barring an element of life should be treated with kindness and aided no matter what but it was never told why... Just that the goddess decreed it... If I must trust someone with this heavy burden a monster baring that affinity is best I guess. A human doesn't deserve to be asked to slaughter their own kind for another... I hope this all can finally come to an end... With that she stepped into the dome of light.

"So what was the decision? Will he help you?"

Shaking her head the little girl frowned. "He refused to slaughter in my name but he did say that wouldn't stop him from slaughtering... Ha... He left you a job as well."

Frowning Eliza didn't know what to say... "What is it?"

With a curious glint in her eyes the little girl stared at Eliza. "You don't argue or hesitate at all but simply ask what the monster asked of you? Isn't that a strange behavior for a human like you?"

Eliza stared blankly refusing to acknowledge her point. "What is it?" Gritting her teeth she asked again.

The little girl smiled with a curious glint in her eyes but it faded and she simply shrugged. "I almost forgot you damned inquisitors can't be lied to... Would have been fun to see what you did if I said he asked you to be his bride."

Eliza trembled slight in an unknown emotion as she stared at the little girl "So what is it?"

The girl laughed "Don't worry, or get excited? He only left the job of getting my corpse for me, to you."

Nodding Eliza turned and lifted a strange circle from the air that seemed to be embedded in the wall of light it faded as the darkness returned to the cave and she began to rush out of towards the abandoned caved in dungeons beneath the lords manor. After the church's local leader and the lord got into a fight over what I can only assume had something to do with the children the lords entire household was executed in suspicion of connections with the evil undead then the manor was taken in the name of the church since then the church has been in charge of the house till the royal council decided the next lord of the town. I had discovered the secret door leading toward the cells a long time ago since I came and heard the girls story after digging out and investigating the tunnels I searched them. I learned of the church's crimes that day... A journal resting in the side comfy room with a bed depicting names ages and backstories along with the ulitmate fates of the young boys after their days of time spent in bed with the priest.

She was followed by the image of the girl floating lightly behind her. The image was entirely solid. Unlike most ghosts Eliza has seen.
