Emerald Ocean

{Announcement} Got a notification about being put in some kinda promising books event or whatever which I guess could be considered feedback so I'ma get to work on this book again... Gotta finish that there last arc... My little Gieco Lizard deserves death!!! --- Inside a garden full of towering trees untold years old that sadly have inferiority complexes caused by the never ending giant tower that supports the sky that the garden sits in front. Upon the branch of one of the smallest trees in the garden, the last of it's kind of the tallest it's breed of tree was ever been able to grow as well as the oldest, sits a beautiful fairy who seems but the size of a squirrel emotionless sipping tea watching the leaves fall off the leaves of the tree as if having already given up on life when suddenly a wind passes by the eternally still garden and everything gently quakes as the infinite number of lines along the towers base lights up gently with a blazing emerald flame that is bordering on black. As if struck by a earth quake the woman falls out of her chair unbearably shaking as her eyes lock upon a thing far away in the infinitely large garden not a plant, not a tree, but the ground itself. A crazy and hopeful fire begins to burn deep within the beautiful fairies eyes as reaches out her hand and with a determined look shatters the very core of her soul sending a piece of herself out into the earth and herself tumbling listlessly into a deep sleep alone on the branch. Hope still burning in her eyes even as they slowly close and a twisted smile upon her lips. Like a bolt of lightning the core of her soul that was a part of her soul but not at the same time takes flight towards the sky circling around the crown of the small tree twice before gently bumping into the already sleeping woman as if in sorrow before flashing away faster then the eye could see reaching a distance so far you wouldn't be able to walk it in a million years even if you could travel at the speed of light and diving into the soil of a solitary mound of dirty diving deeper and deeper it eventually stops and flashes so bright it can even be suttly seen from the garden above as the deep blue light like the ocean fuses into the very core of an single solitary atom inside the soil as if slipping through a crack. Across a vast and unending expanse of sky a brilliant flash of blue light up the very core of a universe before zooming away in the exact instant it appeared as if nothing their ever mattered not the massive throne, the unending number of people fighting for it, nor the ghastly little hut that's door has never opened in all of its existence and that space has warped the top of that no eyes made of flesh has ever seen and no man has ever hoped to enter. One, Ten, A Hundred, A thousand, A Million, A Billion, an untold number more stars pass by as they begin to trail together before the light finally find a crack. Not in space, not in time, not in anything but itself simply existing like it's always existed. The space between filled with nothing. Diving into the crack without even slowly down the blue light seems to fade from existence as if it was never there. Slowly but surely as the blue light fades so does the crack before with it's last peek a suttle flash of Emerald escapes being vanishing from sight. The gentle beam of light flew out never stopping till it struck a nearby planet. As the light was absorbed by that planets inhabitants something... Awoke.

Ch. 25 Seeping Waters

<<<_HIA... Author here who else would it be?... Before I start, I wanted to explain for once in the next chapter the story will be told from something other then the mc's perspective... Gonna introduce a side character bare with me...Not yet though gotta kill some magic polar bears... forgive me PETA and coke it'll be over quickly I swear. Now let's get this over with time to gut some cute little teddy bears. Oh and a side point... While you get to see this side characters story the mc won't ever know... No speaking remember. You'll be a tad less confused then mc lol_>>>

I rushed forward stomping upon a couple bears lying, eyes staring in sorrow at the space their elemental friend once stood there doughy bellies jiggling violently as my paws slammed down. Unconcerned with there health as I chased down this enemy it won't get away again I can shatter the ice walls this time.

As I rushed forward yet another giant water elemental stood before me as I rush through it thousands of the wolf's fur breaking off to distract and eat up the elemental as I command the wolf to shatter the wall as it's giant body slams into the wall of ice with tremendous force. Thousands of white lines stretch from the point of imact on the wall in all directions as I back up and charge yet again immediately upon contact the wolf flies through the wall as if it was nothing but a slushy as it bound forward the wall reforming behind wolf as I chased the water elemental it slipping by the polar bears and through the cracks in walls as if it were nothing more then a ghost. My wolf body scared many of the bears so intensely they simply cowered in the corners as I passed. With each bound of my wolf another chamber passed a few hundred oldly shaped bears cowering.

I couldn't help but wonder... Were these people truly the bad guys? Was I protecting my people or am I simply rushing forward to slaughter without question. I don't really fear being the villain what comes first is simply living a life I'd hate to be left with nothing to do so I've just been doing whatever seems right for those who seem to need me. I don't desire to be some hero or saint nor do I wish to kill all without question. I just want something to do... Is this what I want to do? What even is my goal? I thought it was to protect but now I'm invading a city of teddy bears to protect my followers who might have been the one invading them to begin with. I have no interest in being used as some kind of tool of war.

As I slam through a wall of ice once more entering a humongous hallway entirely made of ice I spot the water elemental rushing towards a pool of water and slipping through a hole that's been shaved out in the ice on its surface...

Beneath the ice in the pool the elemental jumped into I could see. Me? Countless roots of mine spread throughout the pool illuminating the entire chamber. At the end of the hall sat one of the polar bears upon a throne of corpses... Skulls of rat people, humans, even it's own kind sat beneath it as if he only saw them as nothing more then trophies... I don't know about the entire polar bear city but this one... He has to die.

As I have that thought the temperature in the room seems to lower by countless times. My body has no supply to the soil in here even if I broke through the ice I'd still have to swim through what looks like countless tons of water to reach the soil... This room looks like a perfect place for an enemy to fight me lucky me the opponent before me isn't exactly gonna be strong against me. My wood holds up rather well to the ice magic if it was fire I'd be so much weaker.

As the polar bear ruler rises from his throne it roared so loud it hurt my none existent ears. As I immediately bound forward the pigeons immedaitely separating from the wolfs body darting forward like countless threads of hair or a million quills from a porcupine as this occured many of the bears that seemed to be serving the king were forced into casting ice spells along with the king as the pigeons froze in the air the first few managing to cut a few of the kings servants only to be frozen in place as he used his own servants as a wall and frozen each of my pigeons before they could touch him. The smaller polar bears fell over... Their wounds frozen along with there blood as they fell over I couldn't help but stare... As I realize the king is less fighting me and more killing his own people.

I couldn't help but be appaled as the many dormant light cannons I built into the wolfs body shot open as they were about to fire. The king grabbed a jug of some kind of strange looking water from a tray the servants who he used as a shield were serving him with as he stuck his hand into it his eyes lite up and he pulled it back as jagged sharp foot long claws seemed to form upon his bear like fingers. He lunged forward aiming for my wolfs head a stream of countless beams of light began to rain down upon the king while he attacked... The light was being reflected off the ice covering his body it quickly evaporated away but he was getting closer with every fleeting second. The air around the king and the entire chamber seemed to boil from the heat that the beams were putting off. A few feat of the wolf the king's armor finally failed, it's claws an inch from the wolfs head as it suddenly got thrown back. The light began to tear through his body, his fur being burned away. The kings giant body was flung back to his once icy thrown as the wolfs body suddenly fell through the now melting ice.

As the wolfs body was submerged the entire pool seemed to light up so much brighter as the whole room seemed to emanate that emerald hue of his roots light. Before his eyes stood the little water elemental it was waiting patiently tears of deep blue flowing from it's light blue face in the vast waters of green. Why is it crying?

*As if she was watching Alex appears behind the wolf as he stares on confused a message flashing forward once more. "Skill [Soul Refining] unlock requirement 10% met" within a second she yet again vanished*

This is all I'm putting out today. I'll get back to you tomorrow with the Weeping Waters. You can probably guess who the side character is at this point especially with that title. While starting from the same place as the mc in this one it'll also go over a bit of stuff from even earlier on. Also talk about the fact that the mc's roots were here to begin with. Well not talk. It'll just explain it.
