Chapter 343: Baihu & Unfortunate Encounter

Currently, I was lying on a tree branch, resting my mind and body as I stared at the sky through the forest's thick canopy; despite it only having been two days within this dimension, it felt like much longer without Elaine beside me. Yawning, I rolled onto my side and closed my eyes, taking my time to appreciate the forest's tranquility, though while enjoying myself, the tree I was lying on trembled, followed by explosions and roaring in the far distance, interrupting my tranquil nap.

"Haa, why must they fight near me?" Muttered Elif with a slight frown as he raised an eyebrow and glanced in the direction of the explosions and roaring, only to sigh.

I tried ignoring the battle happening in the distance, and after some time, it eventually stopped, causing me to internally sigh in relief, yet I suppose I was too quick to do so since only a few minutes later, another battle erupted, only this time, it was closer, and not only that, but it was slowly approaching my location.

Opening my eyes, I turned and looked in the direction of the battle, only to see trees being knocked down through the dense vegetation; however, despite them approaching me, I didn't bother moving and just hopped the battle would conclude before it reached me though as they continued to draw closer and closer, it was becoming more and more unlikely.

 After a few minutes, the two responsible for interrupting my peaceful nap suddenly smashed through several trees as they became perfectly visible, only to spot a wild horned boar and, surprisingly, someone from the Immortal Beast Sect.

'Hmm, what was her name again? It started with a B, I believe, Balu? Bhimi? Biki?' Thought Elif lightly with a confused expression as he tapped his chin while watching the woman fight against the horned boar.

Well, whatever her name was, she had suppressed herself to merely a Nascent Soul Cultivator, which hindsight, was a pretty smart idea, but nothing I could do about that now; actually, I could release part of my cultivation; I'm not forced to have it like this, but I won't be able to suppress my cultivation again while within this dimension, besides, my pride wouldn't allow me to backtrack, though I digress.

Regarding the woman, she finally managed to defeat the boar after critically injuring one of its legs, causing it to fall, which she promptly took advantage of, killing it in one motion. Watching the corpse swiftly turn into specks of ethereal light before condensing into a small crystal, which she picked up before promptly storing it within her dimension ring.

"Bravo, splendidly well fought; now, do you mind doing me a favor and distancing yourself from me? I'd like to continue my beauty nap, and as I'm sure you can tell, someone as beautiful as me takes his naps very seriously." Remarked Elif lightly as he gazed at the woman, who suddenly vanished before appearing clutched onto the side of the tree right beside him.

Seeing her disappear, I raised my eyebrow at how easy that was before eventually shrugging my arms and rolling onto my opposite side, hoping to appreciate the part of the forest that wasn't destroyed by the earlier fight, but just as I did so, I spotted the woman latched onto the tree while staring at me with her predatory eyes, causing me to sigh before I closed my eyes, pretending to ignore her.

'Maybe she'll just go away if I heed her no mind.' Thought Elif lightly as he returned to napping, hoping the woman would vanish, yet, to his dismay, that didn't happen; in fact it seemed to do the exact opposite.

Feeling the tree branch faintly tremble, I opened my eyes only to see the woman sitting down on the tree branch directly beside me, causing my face to twitch as I watched her quietly relax.

"Must you do this right here? I'm sure there are several other places you could relax that aren't being occupied." Asked Elif in slight annoyance as he gazed at the woman, who calmly nodded.

"Yes. If a Qi-gathering cultivator like yourself can peacefully rest on this tree, Elif, I dare say it's incredibly safe; besides, my Qi reserves are rather low, and it takes too much time to find another spot like this not to add such an endeavor would be dangerous." Replied the woman softly as she swallowed a pill before laying down on the tree branch in a similar manner to Elif while her tail hung over the edge.

Clicking my tongue at her sound argument, I just gave her a blank stare, only to watch as she transformed out of her human form, returning to her true appearance, which consisted of a white tiger with black stripes. Seeing as she wasn't doing anything that would disrupt my peace other than being present, I opted to ignore her as I once again returned to napping.

'Baihu! That's her name, Baihu, the current heir to the Immortal Beast sect; from what I've heard about her, she and Elaine seem to have a good bit in common with each other.' Mused Elif lightly with a curious expression as he glanced at Baihu, who was peacefully resting while the pill she swallowed refilled her Qi reserves, prompting him to nod.

Such a thing didn't sound like a bad idea; if I introduced Baihu and Elaine, the two could very well be good friends, though knowing Elaine, it might not be best if I were the one to introduce her since she'll immediately start thinking the worse and whatnot.

For the next thirty or so minutes, Baihu and I peacefully rested without bothering each other, which was something I wouldn't be able to have if it were any other woman but her; however, she promptly opened her eyes and stood up while she began stretching, seemingly preparing to leave.

"Baihu." Said Elif lightly, his words grabbing Baihu's attention as she glanced at him, only to quickly open her jaws, which were filled with sharp teeth before gently biting down on the crystal ball he had thrown her way.

Twitching at the way she caught my crystal ball, I watched her transform back into her humanoid form while holding the crystal ball within her own, only for her to summon her own crystal ball before touching the two, causing our Qi's to transfer between the other. Once she finished doing the process, she tossed my crystal ball back to me, though as it still had some of her saliva on it, I just calmly watched as it fell to the ground before giving her an annoyed look.

"You could've at least cleaned it." Said Elif in slight annoyance as he looked at Baihu who leaped down from the tree while walking away.

"You could've also waited until I finished stretching." Replied Baihu lightly as she gave Elif one last look before dashing into the forest, her figure blurring amidst the dense vegetation.

"Touchè." Muttered Elif with a click of his tongue as he searched through his dimension ring, looking for a handkerchief.

Taking nearly ten minutes just to find a simple silk handkerchief, I leaped off the tree branch and used it to clean the saliva and now dirt off my crystal ball while also using my Qi to help with the process, ensuring it was squeaky clean before I touched it with my hands.

Storing the cleaned crystal ball within my dimension ring, I heard bushes ruffling from behind, prompting me to turn around, expecting to see Baihu as the noise was in the same direction as where she left, yet while I did see a woman, it wasn't Baihu, instead, from the human appearance and size of the woman, she must've been from the Amazonian Clan.

Nodding at the woman, I was about to walk away since I'd been resting for almost an hour, so I should return to moving, but before I could, the Amazonian woman suddenly lunged towards me; she grabbed my hands and placed them above my head while pushing me against the tree.

"~Ahhh~, Price Elif's smell!" Muttered the woman with heart-shaped pupils as she enthusiastically sniffed Elif, who was deeply frowning.

"I'll only say this once: release me, or I will kill you." Stated Elif sternly with slight anger as he stared at the woman, whose cultivation vastly outstripped his.

"You're only a Qi Gathering cultivator, Prince Elif; you can't kill me; maybe you can after we leave this dimension. Though for now, let's make love, then I'll gladly die with a smile." Said the woman with a large smile as she gently placed her hand on Elif's cheek before reaching down towards his crotch, intending to force herself onto him, yet before her hand reached his manhood, blood suddenly leaked from her several orifices.

The woman didn't even have a chance to do anything before she collapsed onto the ground while bleeding out her orifices, causing me to click my tongue in annoyance as I kicked her body away from me.

"Tsk, stupid insignificant peasant; I won't even send your soul into the reincarnation cycle; a pathetic woman like you deserves to suffer for daring to even think about raping me." Said Elif angrily in pure disgust as he spat onto the body of the woman, who was still smiling despite her ego and dao heart having been obliterated into nothing.

While I didn't finish the job and kill the woman, I did reach down and grab her dimension ring; knowing it would take a long time to search through it, I continued walking through the forest while looking for beasts to kill.

"Hmph, where is Elaine when you need her." Muttered Elif lightly with his hands behind his back as he attempted to calm himself while his figure slowly vanished, leaving behind the living yet dead Amazonian woman.
