Elven Legacy

Discord Link for those interested [https://discord.gg/TGc9yymDJP] If you are interested in Cultivation novels but tired of the same plot with MC always starting from the bottom and working his way up, come and read this novel, you may find it to your liking. Somewhere in the vast expanse called the OverRealm existed an Empire that governed trillions and trillions of citizens with a domain of an even more significant magnitude. It was a typical morning for most people, except for the Royal Family that controlled the Empire. Somewhere inside the enormous palace, a child was being born, a child of never seen before talents, a child who was born with everything anyone could possibly ask for. Now, let us follow the child's journey and see how they will adapt, experience, and change the OverRealm in the future. Currently plan on releasing three chapters a week; however, except for about three different chapters, every other chapter will have 1500 words or more, usually around 1600 words though

Chapter 124: The Next Day

For the next day and a half, I isolated myself in my residence while attempting to soothe my anger; fortunately, no one visited me during that time, so everything was relatively peaceful. Currently, I was sitting on the porch at the back of my house, calmly drinking some tea while watching Marley and Idonea fight each other in the distance.

"Ho, it seems like they've improved quite a bit since last time; I suppose having a rival is a good motivator to improve yourself constantly." Commented Elif as Marley and Idonea were locked in a heated battle.

"What was the record again? Two-three-two?" Asked Elif as he took a sip of tea.

"Both Marley and Idonea have two wins and tied three times." Replied Illumia, who was standing directly beside Elif.

"Well, with how this battle has been going so far, it looks like Idonea will be taking the lead." Remarked Elif as he watched Idonea aggressively attack Marley, forcing her to go on the defense.

While I was enjoying the show Marley and Idonea were putting on, I sensed two people approaching my island, and since one of them was a Fairy, it slightly dampened my mood. With what I'm currently doing, it may look like I've calmed down, yet, that couldn't be further from the truth; I'm still incredibly enraged, and a few days won't be enough to quell the rage in my heart, though I have managed to lessen it.

"Tch, Illumia, can you go and receive them? I don't feel like moving from this comfortable position." Ordered Elif with a frown as he focused back on the battle.

While Illumia headed toward the middle of the island to receive the two guests, I focused back on the battle that was currently at its peak, with Idonea having a slight edge over Marley. However, even though it was supposed to be a spar, they were fighting with much more intensity than usual, not that I disapproved, just something I noticed.

"Your Highness, Young Mistress Eyvor and Prince Birger have arrived." Announced Illumia as she opened the doors for the two of them before entering after them and returning to her spot.

"Ahh, Birger, it's good to see you; I was wondering where you've been; it seems like you've taken your sweet time to arrive." Said Elif as he glanced at Birger and Eyvor before focusing on the battle at hand.

"Haha, it's good to see you as well, Prince Elif, and I was supposed to arrive the day after you arrived; however, Mother was being quite picky with the gifts, so I was forced to wait an entire day before I could depart." Replied Birger with a pleasant smile, internally thanking Queen Nerthus that he missed the banquet.

"Those two are quite powerful. Do they happen to be your followers?" Asked Birger as he and Eyvor sat down and enjoyed the spectacle Marley and Idonea were putting on.

"Yep, you may have seen Marley before, the one using the spear; I battled against her six years ago during the Noble tournament, though she didn't become my follower until two years later. Idonea is the one using the sword; I also battled against her in the Noble tournament, and after defeating her, I accepted her as my follower." Replied Elif lightly before it went quiet as they watched the battle conclude.

Deflecting her spear attack to the left, I swiftly backed away outside her attack range while launching a few attacks to slow her down as I prepared to use my strongest attack. Once Marley finished dealing with my attacks, she quickly launched her spear with tremendous force in hopes of not only interrupting the process but also possibly injuring me; however, it was too late as I was already in the midst of attacking her.

'Wave of Devastation!' Thought Idonea as she attacked Marley and the incoming spear with a large reddish wave of Qi that destroyed everything it touched.

When Marley's spear collided with my attack, it was only capable of stalling my attack for a few seconds; however, that was enough for her to appear right beside her spear, and with their combined force, they managed to stop my attack, yet unfortunately, for her I didn't use all of my Qi in that attack.

'You might be able to stop one, but not two. Wave of Devastation!' Exclaimed Idonea as she launched her new attack at Marley and her previous attack.

By the time Marley noticed the second attack, it was too late; when my second sword wave landed atop the first sword wave, it devoured it and became larger while also increasing in power, enough to the point where Marley couldn't hold it back.

Seeing how my sword wave kept pushing Marley back until they both crashed into the ground, I smiled and sighed in relief as I landed on the ground right next to the large crater I had created.

"I-I win, Marley." Declared an injured Idonea in between her ragged breathing as she sheathed her sword.

"Tch, r-rematch! I-I'll beat you n-next time!" Exclaimed an injured Marley as she slowly crawled out of the crater before lying on the ground near Idonea while breathing heavily.

"There will be no rematch, at least while the two of you are still injured; the both of you need to go and recuperate." Stated Elif.

"Haa, yes, your highness." Replied Marley as she slowly stood up with slight assistance from Idonea, who nodded in response.

"Wonderful battle, you two, and congrats on winning, Idonea." Said Birger with a light smile, to which Idonea nodded with a smile.

"Yes, congratulations on winning, Idonea." Said Eyvor, though when Idonea merely gave her a blank stare, she became awkward.

The moment Marley and Idonea left the area, I sensed Eyvor staring at me while seemingly wanting to say something, but I supposed after everything that happened during the banquet, it became pretty awkward between us.

"What is it, Eyvor?" Asked Elif with a frown as he summoned a bowl of lightning cherries and began eating them.

"After what transpired during the banquet, my Father told me what he said to you that provoked your wrath, and I'd come here today to issue an apology on his behalf and mine as well. As the leading figure of the Fairy Clan, it is my responsibility to make sure the clan members don't step too far out of line, yet I failed at that, not to mention you're an important guest that I personally invited." Declared Eyvor apologetically as she stood up and slightly bowed to Elif, though his lack of response caused the atmosphere to turn very awkward.

Although she didn't specify who she was talking about and only said 'he', we both knew who she was talking about, and just remembering what happened during the banquet angered me. However, I wasn't about to go on some stupid rampage again, especially when it was at my residence.

"Listen, Eyvor, I'm not angry with you, nor am I blaming you for what transpired during the banquet; the whole thing was partially my fault, to begin with; I shouldn't have joked around and asked you to accompany me on a date, given our unique positions. Especially given your feelings toward me." Replied Elif calmly as he set down his bowl of lighting cherries on a nearby table, though his last statement did slightly cause Eyvor to blush in embarrassment while Birger just felt uncomfortable.

"I-I appreciate your words, Prince Elif, I'm glad you're no longer angry, but could you please not mention that? It's somewhat embarrassing." Said Eyvor as she stopped bowing and looked at Elif in embarrassment.

"However, that doesn't mean I'm going to forgive him for what he said, and until the end of time, I stand by my statement; if I ever lay eyes on him again, you know what I'll do. I'm not the kind of person who'll go back on his words." Remarked Elif calmly, though Eyvor and Birger could sense the subtle killing intent that laced his words.

"I understand, Prince Elif. I'm already grateful that you didn't kill him; I may greatly dislike him, but he'll be a central figure for the Fairy Clan in the future, and I'm sure he will greatly help the Fairy Clan." Replied Eyvor with a nod as she sighed and returned to her seat.

"Also, just so you know, I'm still very much enraged at what happened, so I would like it if we didn't speak about the banquet anymore." Stated Elif as he returned to his usual demeanor, though that was only for Birger and Eyvor, for someone like Illumia, who has been by his side for almost all of his life; she was able to sense the lack of amusement that is usually present in his eyes.

"That is fine by me, Prince Elif; I only wished to apologize for the situation and my lack of action, though Father wanted me to give this to you." Said Eyvor with a light smile as she summoned a piece of paper from her dimension ring and floated it toward Elif.

Grabbing the piece of paper, I read the contents, and when I finished, just like the invitation Eyvor sent, I destroyed it with my Qi before clicking my tongue.

'Tch, that was quite expensive; I didn't think I caused that much damage; I guess I was wrong.' Thought Elif as he searched his dimension ring for a large sack and filled it with several Immortal spirit stones before summoning it.

"Here, this should be more than enough to cover the costs of the damages for the dining hall." Declared Elif as he tossed a sack filled with spirit stones to Eyvor, who caught it before storing it in her own dimension ring.

"So then, with that out of the way, what should we talk about?" Asked Birger with a light smile, his words grabbing the attention of both Eyvor and Elif.
