Time flew by from the time Ain had been reborn, he was now 5 years old.

During the past few years, Ain had discovered and learned a few things, the first thing he learned was the world's language.

The world he currently resides in was a world that was vastly different from Elrios or even the so called Heaven where the gods such as Ishmael resides in.

This world, unlike Elrios is highly independent, its air was brimming with the energy known as "Qi".

According to what he had discovered, qi existed in everything and everywhere in this world as it was the essence of existence.

There were two types of qi, internal and external.

Internal qi was a type of qi that existed within living beings, it allows each being to continue existing, as such, it was not possible to utilize internal qi.

External qi existed within the air and non-living beings, it was inexhaustible.

The inhabitants of this world usually absorbs the external qi and refine it in order to utilize it to strengthen their body, mind, and spirit.

Those who are able to utilize qi are known as Cultivators.

The other thing he had discovered is the map of this world.

When his mother had discovered his interest in the map, she had told him quite a few things about it.

There were 7 continents, in the center were 3 huge continents that had varying inhabitants, one had the humans, another had the demi-humans, and the last was the continent of the demons.

Each of the 3 races were different although demi-humans and demons sort of look the same as humans.

Demi-humans are beings with their figure being the same as humans, however, they had ears and tails of beasts, some even have paws or wings, their physical abilities are exceptional compared to humans.

The demons have ashen skin and also have horns, their blood, different from the human's and demi-human's which are red is instead blue, among the 3, demons have powerful abilities, their bodies are stronger and were also able to absorb and refine qi much easier.

Humans are the weakest of the 3 with their body not as powerful as the demons or demi-humans, they also aren't able to easily absorb qi much easier, so as a solution, they developed various techniques on cultivation.

Among the 3 races, demons have the urge or thirst to dominate, thus, the other races are hostile against the demons as they try to invade the other 2 continents, the humans and demi-humans had cooperated to fight against the demons for a thousand years already, the war continues even at present time.

Aside from the 3 continents which inhabited the 3 races were 4 continents that were comparably smaller than the others, but these continents inhabited special existence that were extremely powerful.

Each of these continents are located at the north, south, east, and west of the map.

The north was known as the land of the tortoise as it is where the Black Tortoise lives, the south was known as the land of the pheonix as it housed the Vermilion Bird, to the east was the land of the dragon where the Azure Dragon resides, and to the west was the land of the tiger where the White Tiger can be found.

These four beasts were known as Divine Beasts with their strength standing at pinnacle of the world, these beasts guards the end of the world and were the overseer of the world, it had been said that anyone that anyone who gains the favor of the beasts will gain limitless potential.

Ain was born at the continent where humans lived, he was born and lived at a mountain known as Mount Yun near a village known as Haoli.

He was given the name as Zucheng due to his composure or calmness since the day he was born.

His mother was known as Li Yuli who was a doctor.

Although, he hadn't asked about his father, his mother had told stories about him, apparently, his father was an excellent and powerful cultivator named Li Zhang, he had never returned once since he had left 5 years ago.

Currently, Zucheng was listening to his mother's lectures, she was teaching him medical arts, today's lesson was about herbs.

His mother held a book and he had been quietly listening very seriously.

Yuli was impressed by her son's interest and ability to learn that he had showed since he was two so she had decided to personally teach him since then.

She had taught Zucheng how to write and read, to her surprise Zucheng completely grasped how to within a month, she was extremely shocked and delighted on how her son was a genius!

In fact, Zucheng could have learned how to write and read within a day but decided to extend it to a month as he thought that a day would be too overboard.

Ever since, Yuli had instructed him on medicine.

After some time, Yuli concluded the lecture and told her son to rest as she got out of the room to prepare dinner, the sun was already about to set.

As he saw Yuli got out and close the door, he remained seated and got in to a meditation position.

He closed his eyes and started meditating.

Absorbing and refining qi was required to be started at the age of 10 or higher as doing so below 10 years of age was extremely dangerous due to the body being too underdeveloped, it may cause the meridians to shatter and at worst, explode causing the person to die.

Zucheng was an exception, he had started cultivating the day he was born, this caused his meridians to bear a heavy burden and he started feeling the pain after some time since he begun cultivating that day, however, his meridians didn't break, that was because as qi entered his meridians, it was converted to power of god allowing his meridians to be able to barely hold out and instead became sturdier, up to this day, his meridians were already tougher than normal cultivators.

Although, 5 years had passed, the amount of power of god that he had recovered was extremely small, the conversion of qi in to god's power was extremely inefficient, it consumes too much qi in exchange for a very small amount of god's power.

Zucheng opened his eyes, he remained silent for a while before putting his two hands together, both were curled to a fist.

He then started to slowly separate his hands as though he was unsheathing a sword in front of him.

As he did so, a sword started appearing, it's hilt was already in his grasp.

Competing the action, a sword had been created.

Unlike a normal sword, the sword within Zucheng's grasp is different, it was special and was extraordinary.

The sword was translucent, seeming like a colored glass, it's color was cyan, the same color as the holder's eyes, it seemed extremely fragile that one would think that it would break if it was lightly touched.

The sword released a faint light and exuded a divine aura as though it was not something that should exist within this plane.

Zucheng continued to observe the sword.

Having observed enough, he let go of the sword from his grip.

Contrary to one's expectation, the sword did not fall and shatter.

Instead it floated in front of Zucheng and positioned itself vertically, he was preparing to reabsorb the energy.

He closed his eyes and was going to absorb the energy but found himself unable to do so.

He opened his eyes once more and found that the sword was lightly trembled.

He wondered what was the problem.

After a few seconds, the sword trembled even harder but Zucheng was still unable to find the cause, when suddenly.....

Whoosh!

The sword flew out of the open window.

Zucheng quickly got up and hurried went out of the room.

Yuli who was preparing food for dinner was surprised with her son's hurried actions, she saw that he was about to get out of the hut.

"Zucheng, it's already dark outside"

"Mother, I'll return quickly"

Zucheng stormed out of the house.

Hearing her son's words, Yuli helplessly sighed and continued preparing dinner.

Outside the hut, Zucheng tried to sense the sword that had already disappeared from his sight and quickly found it, he started making his way towards the sword.

The sword had already gotten quite far.

After running for about an hour, Zucheng found a cave, he sensed that the sword was inside.

He entered the cave and found the sword at the end of the cave.

He was confused as though why it had went here, he then walked towards the sword to quickly take it.

As though it had been waiting for him, the sword moved and positioned itself horizontally, its tip pointing towards the empty wall.

Before Zucheng could reach it, the sword quickly moved and pierced towards the wall, completely submerging to the wall.

A hole was made through the wall, a faint light could be found from within but the sword was nowhere to be seen.

Zucheng quickly made his way towards the hole and upon reaching it, he put his arm inside.

As he had put his arm in the hole he felt that something was inside but it wasn't the sword.

What he felt seems to be a chain.

He grabbed the chain and pulled it out.

Zucheng saw the item and was greatly shocked, afterwards, that shock turned to delight.

The item he had found has a chain, at the end of the chain was an object, it looked a bit like a circle but has pointed edges, at the center was a hole and within that hole was something that looked like a crystal, the crystal was floating and was not connected to the item at all but it seemed to be trapped inside the whole, it kept on slowly and constantly rotating in its place.

Zucheng was familiar with this item as it was originally his.

It was a pendulum.

This pendulum was a container, it is able to contain god's power.

Zucheng observed the pendulum and sensed that it was gathering qi.

It was gathering qi and converting it in to god's power.

Zucheng felt that the efficiency and the amount it converted was higher than if he does it himself.

Although he felt that it had been dormant until now and had just been activated a couple of minutes ago, the amount that it had already gathered was more than what he had gather for the last 5 years, the level of efficiency when compared to him gathering and converting the energy was like comparing heaven and earth.

However, even if that was the case, Zucheng was glad that he gathered the energy as he couldn't have found the pendulum if he didn't make that sword.

After a while, Zucheng finished observing the pendulum and let go of the chains.

As he let go of his grip, as though it was alive, the chains started coiling around his waist.

The chains coiled tightly and secured its place, the pendulum hanged on his waist.

Satisfied, Zucheng got out of the cave and prepared to leave.

Upon exiting the cave, Zucheng found himself in a perilous situation.

A huge bear was looking at him as though it was looking at a delicious meal, it seems it had found its dinner.

The bear was no ordinary bear as it size was triple the size compared to a normal bear, on its back, several black crystals protruded.

Zucheng calmly stared at the bear and observed whether it would let him pass.

After a while, he sighed as he knew that he couldn't escape.

He put his hand on the pendulum that hanged on his waist and tightly gripped it.

Shatters!

The pendulum was shattered in to countless fragments and surrounded Zucheng.

It then submerged to his body as like it was fusing with his body.

Zucheng felt it, he had recovered a significant amount of god's power.

He the looked straight in to the bear's eyes that was gazing at him as though he was food.

He was confident that he could defeat this bear and escape.

As though it knew his intentions, the bear angrily roared and started charging towards Zucheng.

Before the bear had noticed it, a translucent sword that seemed like a glass colored with cyan had already appeared within Zucheng's grasped.

Zucheng kicked the ground and sprinted, his speed was incredibly fast, incomparable to when he was running towards the cave.

Swish!

The bear failed to react and Zucheng had slashed at the bear's neck with the seemingly fragile sword.

Crash!

The bear who had been charging with its four limbs suddenly crashed to the ground.

Its head had been severed and a trail of blood on the ground could be seen, it was already dead.

Zucheng coldly gazed at the corpse of the bear.

The sword in his grip shattered in to countless pieces and disappeared.

He then turned and started sprinting towards the direction of the hut.

-

With the help of god's power, Zucheng was able to arrive back to the hut within a few minutes, it was extremely short compared to when he chased after the sword which took an hour.

When the hut was already in sight, he halted his steps.

He then released the power of god and the pendulum reformed, it hanged on his waist.

Zucheng started walking towards the hut.

Creak

Zucheng arrived at the hut and he pushed open the door with a creak.

"Zucheng!"

Yuli saw him and hurriedly got close.

She started searching his body and found that there was nothing wrong nor was there any injuries.

She then looked at his eyes and spoke.

"What did you do outside? you've been gone for an hour"

She asked with her eyes full of worry.

Zucheng saw her expression and felt warmth, he knew that this mother of his greatly cared for his well-being, he was happy about this.

"Sorry"

He sincerely apologize.

Yuli saw this and helplessly sighed.

"It's okay, I'm not mad"

She honestly replied then continued.

"So? What did you do outside?"

Zucheng was troubled as to how he should reply.

After pondering for a bit, he decided to be a bit honest and grabbed the pendulum.

"I found this"

He said as he showed the pendulum to Yuli.

Yuli looked at the pendulum, wondering what it is.

"This is......?"

"I don't know"

Zucheng answered quickly.

Yuli was amazed at the floating crystal and thought that it was beautiful but that was all.

She wouldn't take something her son had found so she paid it no mind and got up.

"Let's go eat"

She said and walked towards the table that already contained the food she had prepared.

Zucheng was relieved that she didn't ask any further or try to take it.

He quickly closed the door and followed.
