Out of the Abyss Once More

In to an unknown world, near a seemingly ordinary village was a mountain that stood tall with pride, its peak looking as though it may pierce the heaven.

On the mountain, one can see a very shabby hut that only has one inhabitant

It didn't use to be like that before as it had two people living in it, the two were a couple.

The couple were quite close to the people of the village as they interacted quite often.

The woman was skilled in medicine so the people of the village would go to the hut to get treated in case someone was injured or was suffering from an illness.

On the other hand, the man would hunt on the wilderness surrounding the village and the mountain protecting the village from beasts.

The people were grateful to the couple since they had migrated to the mountain near the village about 10 years ago as they had helped the village ever since.

The village was poor and were far from the capital, it was truly insignificant that no one would care whether it continued or ceased to exist.

A few months ago, the whole village had found out that the woman was pregnant, they were happy and almost all the villagers visited the couple to congratulate them.

Unbeknownst to all, 1 month before the child was born, the man had disappeared from the mountain.

The day they had found out, the villagers were enraged, throwing curses and complaints to the man whose location was unknown, but the woman defended her husband saying he had something important to do.

From that day forth, the villagers had decided to send one person everyday to take care of the woman.

Time passed and one month had gone by as swift as a gale, it was now time for the woman to give birth to the child.

Usually, within this 1 month, the hut looked very lonely but today was different.

The whole village had went to the hut, most of them were outside looking towards the hut, the villagers were filled with nervousness, anxiety, and anticipation, they hoped that everything would go smoothly.

As they waited, wails of pain could be heard coming from within the hut.

"Arrgh!"

After more time of waiting, the wails and shouts from the hut died down, silence filled the mountain.

Due to the long period of silence the villagers became more nervous, anxiety and fear filled their hearts as they worried that something wrong might have happened, their expressions became solemn.

The whole mountain was overcome with the continued long period of silence, if one were to focus, they would see that some had held their breaths, maybe they had forgotten to breathe due to the heaviness of the atmosphere.

Creak!

After a few more moment of silence, the door of the hut opened and an old lady came out.

Seeing the old lady, the crowd simultaneously looked towards her, their gazes filled with anticipation, all wanting to know about the results from the old lady.

Noticing the questioning gazes that were all targeted at her, the old lady sighed and opened her mouth to speak.

"It's...a success"

Hearing her sigh followed by the answer, the crowd remained silent for a few seconds.

The silence continued.

Without a warning, the silence that persisted was broken by the crowd's sudden cheer!

They were overcome with joy, some were jumping about, some breathed a sigh of relief, and some embraced those that are nearby.

Within the hut, a woman was caressing an infant on her embrace.

Although looking rather tired and haggard, it didn't hide the fact that the woman was really beautiful, her long silver hair flowed behind her looked extremely smooth and seems to clearly reflect the light that seeps in from outside.

Similar to her hair, she had silver pupils that if one looked, would see that it was as clear and serene as a lake that reflected the moon on the night sky.

She was looking at the infant on her embraced as though she was looking at the most precious thing on the world and was whispering sweet words to the child.

Similarly, the child looked upon the face of the woman as though he was scrutinizing every details on it, he remained as silent as a stone.

In fact, the child was currently being wary, he was confused, and he was observing.

Within the child's thoughts, he was greatly confuse as to what had happened.

He was sure that he was on the verge of disappearing before he opened his eyes and found himself being caressed by a woman of an unknown origin.

'Who.....is she?' he questioned to himself as he pondered what had happened.

He remembered that he was brought to the void due to the explosion of the El, then he sought the light for an unknown time arriving at a rift leading out of the void but when he was about to reach it, it disappeared, he lost all hope and was about to disappear...

As he was pondering about these things, it hit him.

'The El!' he exclaimed in his mind as he remembered his mission.

He has no clue how he got out of the void but he has to complete his mission now that he's out.

As he was going to try an move, he noticed a huge problem.

He couldn't control his body properly.

Upon his realization, he was pulled back to reality.

He stared at the woman who was holding him with great care and gazing at him with gentleness while muttering words that he couldn't understand.

For some reason, upon each words of the woman, he felt warmth as though he was basking in the sunlight as the autumn breeze caresses his body.

After observing every details of the woman's face, he gazed at her eyes.

He felt that her eyes were serene and were also very clear, he continued gazing at her eyes and focused on his reflection.

Upon seeing his own reflection, he was greatly taken aback.

What he saw was a child, an infant, in other words, a baby.

Why did he become a baby?

He was greatly confused, unable to properly swallow the situation.

Although he knew that he had just been created by the goddess and was an infant if associated with the human's general knowledge or common sense, he wasn't a human, he was a being created by the goddess, he was the goddess agent, not to mention the time he had spent within the void that felt like eternity then he should not have been an infant.

Yet here he was now, a harmless infant that couldn't even control his own movements properly and was being carried.

He was mortified and felt helpless, even if he wanted to complain he couldn't do anything but swallow his complaints, not to mention that he wasn't even able to speak.

After more time of pondering over everything, he decided to put it at the back of his mind and do something.

He closed his eyes and focused on his surroundings as though trying to sense something.

As he closed his eyes and focused, all his 5 senses were cut off, he couldn't hear the muttering of the woman, couldn't feel her embrace, couldn't smell anything, of course he couldn't taste anything as there was nothing in his mouth, and he couldn't see anything specially with his eyes closed.

He was extremely focused, trying to find something else in the air other than air itself.

After a few moment of trying, he felt something.

He felt a special energy within the air that was different from El energy but was similarly powerful.

Upon feeling this energy, he was a bit dejected.

He was dejected due to what he had expected, he was not in Elrios.

He knew that it was a different world based from the energy, it wasn't something that existed in Elrios.

After a few seconds, he quickly recovered.

He started pondering and decided on what he should do.

Due to staying within the void and fighting against Henir's energy to keep his existence, the El energy within him was greatly depleted that there was only a strand of it remaining, it was so little that it was like a grain of sand, far from enough to make a sand castle, in short, he couldn't do anything with it, thankfully it would be possible to convert the energy he found in to El energy, but converting it would be extremely hard and would take a really long time.

As it would take a very long time, he decided to start gathering the energy in order to convert it to El as time is of the essence.

Ain was a being created by the goddess, he was created with the use of an extremely powerful energy, naturally he was able to skillfully control energy so even if he didn't focus on gathering the energy he would still have no problem with it and would continuously absorb energy as long as he wants to.

He had decided on what to do, the first thing was to find a way to cross over dimensions and get back to Elrios to complete his mission.

Reaffirming his resolution he put aside his worries for now as he had to grow up first cause he is unable to do anything else as an infant.

He opened his eyes and saw the woman who was gazing at him, unknown when she had stopped talking to him.

Time continued flowing as he and the woman continued gazing at each other, there was only silence.

Growl~

The silence was broken by the sudden grumble of his stomach.

The woman heard it then giggled, she then placed her hand on her robe.

Seeing her action, Ain was greatly alarmed, he felt that something bad was about to happen.
