Messenger Cidae

Chika started walking until she arrived in a huge open space. Moving her torch upwards, what she saw next makes her shudder.

Tens to hundreds of tunnels greeted her with different sizes. Some are huge while others are small.

"What kind of monster is living in here?" Chika whispered to herself as she looked around her.

The chirps came back and it came from the tunnels, echoing through the dark hallway.

She doesn't know what she should do in that dungeon but the survival instinct played in very well.

'I just need to kill the boss in order to get out of here.'

Earning enough courage, Chika went into one of the holes which is big enough for her to run around in case she'll be attacked but the disadvantage is the bigger the tunnel, the bigger monster inside.

Chika left the torch at the open space and continued buying one as she venture inside the tunnel for easier access due to the light.

Halfway through the tunnel, she heard something from behind her. Turning around, she saw nothing but darkness.

"Phew~"

She sigh in relief and was about to continue moving forward but when she turn back, 5 huge ants are approaching her.

'The chirp is coming from them!'

The size of the ants is a bit smaller than her height but they are still big enough to deal damages and there are 5 of them.

"A sh*t," She cursed as she sticks the torch on the wall and get into position as the ants didn't attack her but rather made chirping sounds.

[DUNGEON QUEST: KILL THE ANT LORD.]

THE OAK TREE IS FILLED WITH GIANT ANTS. HUNT DOWN THE ANTS UNTIL YOU REACH THE BOSS ROOM.

FAILURE TO COMPLETE THE QUEST MEANS DEATH.

Seeing the message on the screen, Chika couldn't help but frown. The ants are not attacking her but they seemed to be relaying messages to their fellow ants that there's an intruder to their colony.

'I literally intrude their home to kill them. It also means they need to attack me to defend their home.'

The giant ants started backing away but as the artifact says on the screen. She needs to hunt them down until she reached the boss's room.

"Where do you think you're going!?"

Chika sprinted towards the ants as she slashed the nearest one in half. Green murky blood pooled on the ground as the ants twitched in death. As the fellow ant saw what happened to their member. Their chirping became louder and they all went and attack Chika.

The mandible of the ants is small but sharp enough to cut flesh. Their legs are sturdy which helps them increase their speed.

Chika could easily cut through their scale and it didn't take long before they are all dead.

"They are not strong. Seems like they are just messengers."

Chika sprint deeper into the tunnel. The wolf paw helped with her speed and agility which helped her decrease muscle fatigue on the lower extremity.

It didn't take long before a series of buzzing sounds could be heard meters away from here and Chika didn't hesitate to go for an attack since she knows that she will level up by killing the ants.

Seeing her status as Lvl.1 irks her the most and wanted to level up faster to reach her goal.

This time she entered another area where several tunnels could be seen just like the recent sound.

"Seems like those messenger ants finally called their warriors to fight me."

Chika became excited for some reason as she waited for her new enemy to come to her in those tunnels as their buzzing keeps on getting louder and louder.
