Late Night Meeting

It was a lonely night in Teraxa where the lights of the street lanterns illuminate the night sky. But further back in the distance was a mansion painted in gray and black with golden window frames glistening from the moon. A man wearing a black and red nobleman attire with a black cloak draping over his shoulders which adorns the symbol with three shapes resembling a beast's fangs. The man's features are that his eyes were the color of cold steel and his hair is the color of a starless night sky with the length that reaches his shoulders.

The man takes a sip of his tea which gives a warm, yet mildly sweet taste and sighs. The night sky, the tea, the subtle sounds of insects and the gentle breeze is calming to him. Until he hears a voice.

"Master Algra. You are needed downstairs." a male voice said. The man who is older than Algra entered the balcony in a butler outfit whose features is that his short, slick brown hair with streaks of gray, his face showing wrinkles, but not much defined. He came to Algra to inform him.

"Thank you Florence. I'll come right now." Algra replied as he stood up and began walking downstairs. Florence gestures the maids to take the tea set inside and stored it away. Algra and Florence began walking down from the hallway and then to the basement. Algra sees the faint light below only to see other people who he is familiar with, especially the woman who is his wife.

"My dear, they have arrived." she said.

"Good. And Indux?" Algra said.

"Asleep in the other room, he couldn't keep awake."

"Understandable." Algra turns to a man who is wearing a black pirate trench coat out of leather, inside is a black vest with a black pirate hat, his features is that he has dark skin with a scar on his left eye, long wild black hair which his bangs drapes over his face, the majority of that were covering his right eye. He is leaning on the wall on his back with his arms crossed along with his spear with the same length as his height. He notices Algra's look, but his expression was anything, but happy.

"Vega, you seem cross." Algra said.

"It's those damn blockades slowing me and my crew down. I would've sunk them myself." Vega said.

"You're telling me. There are more guards than usual in our smuggle runs." another man said with a great sword with two jagged edges with animal fur on its guard and leather hilt. That man is bald, muscular and had multiple battle scars on his arms. He is wearing clothes of animal hide which has red, white, and black stripes.

"You know sulking too much will ruin your handsome faces." one woman said.

"Can't help it. It's getting hard for us to fight the Swan scum while we're acting prim and proper."

"It's the emperor from Iveria, can't mistake that gold and blue carriage. Also the Light Archbishop is with him as well." the woman said, leaning on the table. The woman leaning on the table have long white hair in a ponytail, deep crimson red eyes, wearing a black tight fitting outfit with diamond cutouts that expose her stomach, her hips, and her back. She wields a black chain and sickle and two daggers on both sides of her, dangling from her hips.

"That's probably why..." Terzo said, sighing.

"Let's not forget the White Swan Faction. The noble I keep contact with is Xavier Orato, a rich one at that. Zenna?" Algra said. Zenna, Algra's wife walked forward to place Xavier's painted picture on a wooden table and a map where they'll meet. They'll be meeting in an abandoned bandit camp, where they'll make trade and discuss.

"It seems fishy, he could be turning tail on us. Besides, he never contacted any of us for almost a week." Vega said, suspicious of the absence.

"He's right, he might've gotten the better deal from the White Swans." Terzo added.

"Not to worry, if he were to betray us, we'd be better prepared. Tomorrow night, we convene to this location." Algra said, pointing the red 'X' on the paper.

"With this, if he didn't betray us, we'll gain much more ground?" Sytha asked.

"Correct. Any questions?" Algra said, looking around. Neither Vega, Terzo, nor Sytha spoke a word, meaning they have nothing to say.

"Then I will see you the next night." Algra said, ending the meeting. Everyone in the basement walked up stairs and reached the moonlit dark hallway, with the small candle as a source of light. They walked out the door, but Terzo stopped suddenly.

"Oh, one more thing. When this is over, come to the pub sometimes." Terzo offered.

"I will. Try not to get too drunk." Algra said.

"Hah! I'll try." Terzo laughed and resumed walking until the three were no longer in sight. and Florence closed the doors.

"Zenna." Algra said.

"Yes?" She replied.

"If by any chance our home were to be attacked by the Luster Order or the White Swans, take our son and head to Eirach which is northeast of Teraxa. I already made subdivisions where are located in Eirach, Servano, and Millund." Algra said.

"Eirach is where Vega is currently head of that subdivision?"

"Yes, once you get there, head to the subdivision base and lay low." Zenna placed her finger on Algra's nose.

"Why is my silly husband saying like he won't survive such an ordeal? You're a Dragon Class Wizard. However, if you're in a battle, you finish it quickly and come back to us, okay?" Zenna said as she hugged Algra.

"I will. When it goes well, we'll be one step closer to ending this war and taking down the Luster Church." Algra replied, hugging her back.

This is my first time coming. Wish me luck.
