"Dodged an arrow." Joseph muttered to Aria as he took Aria back to her bed and made sure she was comfortably sitting.
While he was doing this, Miss Anhao walked over to the open window and closed it with a snap.
Aria tried to stop her, "Oh please don't. It's such a lovely day."
But Miss Anhao cut in and forced a glass of medicine towards Aria, "Drink this. And lie down to sleep. You've had plenty of adventures today."
As Aria was drinking her medicine looking like a dog who had been scolded by its master, Miss Anhao turned to Joseph, "And Mr. Scott, I assume you have a class to attend?"
Joseph hurriedly said goodbye to Aria and rushed out of the recovery ward.
Miss Anhao, who had mixed a little sleeping potion in Aria's medicine, made sure she was comfortable before closing the curtains and going back to her office.
No one, not even Aria noticed half-an-hour later, Miss Anhao opening the window above Aria's bed. She stood and looked at the girl for a long time before bending and kissing her forehead, "Everyone thinks you might be. And I sure do hope so too. It would be great if you really are Brietta's daughter."
Aria was discharged a week later, though her shoulder was still bandaged and she could not use it. Her diet plan was also being monitored by Miss Anhao. But Aria was happy as she was allowed to attend classes.
As Aria walked towards the North tower, where the students studying both precision and power stayed. At the foot of the tower, Aria was met with Joseph, Jacob and Helen, who seemed to be waiting for her.
Aria looked at the three and asked, "What are you all doing here?"
Jacob smiled and said, "We've already taken your luggage to your room. And now, we've come to escort you."
Aria smiled. Escort. This word sure brought back memories. Joseph scoffed, "Don't get too comfortable. I'll be taking it back during the next fights."
"Then I still have six months to spoil it for you." Aria said as she walked and hugged Helen, who asked, "How are you feeling?"
Aria laughed, "Fit as a fiddle. Just nervous because I've gotten behind on my lessons."
Joseph: "Don't bother. The first class is basically nothing. Everyone is basically sitting and yawning."
Aria saw Jacob eye Joseph with bitterness and open his mouth to say something, but she cut in, "So, where's my room?"
Joseph scoffed again, "Isn't it obvious? The best room is the topmost one. With the beautiful view."
Helen said, "So we'll have to climb all the way to the top. Are you gonna be alright?"
Aria gave her signature devil smile, "Who said I was walking?"
And before anyone realised what was happening, Aria had already floated up the stairs, a very surprised Jacob and Helen floating along with her. By the time Joseph realised what was happening, the three had already disappeared from view, and only Aria's voice was heard, "Come on, slowpoke."
Joseph smiled, "Oh, it's on." Saying this, he also flew up the stairs.
It was a close call as Aria had gotten a head start but she was using only one hand and was flying three people. She landed in front of the topmost door only moments before Joseph also came.
