Joseph processed the information Aria had just told him. Welson? Aria Welson?
It was the first time he had heard of this name. It definitely wasn't one of the upper class family, otherwise he would definitely have at least heard of them.
But Joseph shook his head. It wasn't exactly impossible. There were quite a lot of skilled soldiers in the army and a fighter like Aria would be a rare case, very rare, but possible if the soldier had a child with a woman of royalty.
Joseph stored away the information in his mind, resolving to move heaven and earth to find this name Welson, and pulled himself out of his thoughts. He blinked, and saw Aria looking at him with a dejected expression.
Joseph's face lips formed into a smile that stretched from ear to ear as he said, "Thank you Aria."
Aria let out a dejected laugh and spoke, "Happy Birthday."
Joseph chuckled and finished unpacking the food. He had even gotten the kitchen to pack some cake for Aria.
The two sat down around the door which was obviously too much for two people.
As might be expected, Aria grabbed a shrimp roll and put it into her mouth.
She closed her eyes and smiled with a full mouth, looking very happy as she enjoyed the shrimp roll.
Joseph sat with his face in his hands and looked at Aria. He loved these little moments when Aria completely let down her icy manner. She would sometimes forget everything that she was keeping locked in her heart and the wall around her heart would come tumbling down.
At these moments, Aria would look just like she was. A fifteen year old girl.
But the moment suddenly ended as Aria reached for another shrimp roll, and she stopped dead with the roll in her hand.
The roll dropped from Aria's hand and rolled in the floor as Aria's head snapped in the direction of the window.
Joseph sat up straight and immediately asked, "What's wrong? Who is it?" He could tell by Aria's expression that it was something serious relating to people they knew. Aria's wasn't one to get fluttered easily so it must be something serious, and she was a born fighter, she wouldn't be this worried if it wasn't someone she deeply cared about.
While Joseph was wondering what was wrong, Aria pushed away her chair and stood up. The chair fell back on the floor with a thud, but Aria took no notice as she rushed towards the window, climbed on the windowsill and jumped out.
Not knowing what had happened but knowing that it must be serious, Joseph also ran to the window and jumped out after her.
Aria had decided to keep an eye out for Jacob and Helen from Joseph's room.
She knew she wouldn't be able to get away from Joseph any time soon, so this was probably the best choice.
This was the reason Aria had opened the window and was scouting the grounds around the Scott mansion standing near it.
She had kept up an unconscious wind bending while she and Joseph talked, keeping a tab on everyone that entered or left the grounds.
The person she had been keeping an eye out for had just entered the grounds just as Aria reached for her second shrimp roll.
