Ch. 36 'Crown Prince'

The crown prince of the Nishian Kingdom was called Prince Xiao Yang. He would celebrate his sixteenth birthday in two weeks, and a year later, his father, the king, will inherit the throne to him.

While the princess, Princess Xiao Yue, who was still seven years old, was just your ordinary little girl in general.

She liked dolls, liked to be hugged by her mother, and loved to eat sweet foods such as cakes and chocolates. What she disliked the most was each time her elder brother teased her whenever he had the chance.

"Wow, Yue'er, if you eat that much, you really will get fat. I don't want to have a 'pig' sister later on."

"I'm not fat. And I'm not a pig either!" Princess Xiao Yue denied her nosy brother.

So annoying! Why did he have to make a lousy metaphor for her?

"Not fat?" The crown prince Yang cupped her chubby little cheeks and pressed them gently so that his sister's mouth formed like a fish's mouth.

Seeing that adorable face, Xiao Yang laughed with amusement, "Look, you're indeed fat. Chubby, squishy, I can squeeze your cheeks like this all the time."

Xiao Yue flung her brother's hands in annoyance and continued to protest, "I'm not fat!"

"Yes, yes. You are not fat. But your body is widening to the side."

"Bad brother! Big bad brother! Mother, royal mother," Xiao Yue walked away and looked for her mother with a pout face. "Mother, big brother Yang is being mean again."

"Oo, my dear, what's wrong?" asked the queen while hugging her beloved princess.

"He said Yue'er is fat."

"Yue'er is never fat. You know that. Only cute, chubby sweet princess."

"So does it mean my body really widened to the side?" Asked her daughter while frowning.

The queen put on a funny face as she tried to hold back her laughter, and her daughter noticed the mother's expression.

"Mother..." now the princess was sulking with puff cheeks, seeing her mother laughed at her.

The queen just smiled. "Who told you that your body widened to the side?"

"Big brother Yang did!"

The queen just sighed and glanced at her eldest son, who had just entered the room with an innocent face.

"Ah, Yue'er, it seems Father has returned," said Xiao Yang casually.

"Is it true?" the face that had been sullen was replaced by a radiant look. Xiao Yue immediately ran towards the main gate to welcome her father's return.

It had been a while since the last time the young princess met his beloved father. So the princess was very excited to hear the news.

"Be careful on the way. Don't cry hard if you fall later," shouted Xiao Yang in teasing voice.

"I won't fall... Bleh ..." Xiao Yue replied while pulling one of her eyes and sticking out a mocking tongue towards her brother.

"That child... her attitude is not like a princess at all." clicked Xiao Yang. "Ouch..." he complained as he felt his shoulder felt hot as his mother gave him a light slap.

"Why do you hit me? What did I do?"

What a shameless crown prince! He even put on an innocent face in front of the queen.

"How long do you want to keep teasing your sister? Aren't you afraid that she will hate you one day?"

Xiao Yang smiled confidently. "My dear mother, everyone on this island knows that Yue'er loves me the most. She could never hate me."

The queen giggled, "You little. Don't let your sister heard that, otherwise, she wouldn't want to talk to you for a week." they both laughed together. "Let's follow Yue'er to welcome the king's arrival."
