Azure Forest.

Logan was confused and terrified by his dream. He didn't understand what it meant.

He wondered if he had any connection to Indra.

'Why did he have similar golden hair as mine? But my mum told me I once had black hair before it suddenly changed, could he be my dad or perhaps his powers got reincarnated into me?' Logan thought as he recalled that unfathomable feeling Indra seemed to possess.

He looked at his chest, where he had felt a warmth in his dream. He saw a faint outline of a dragon mark, barely visible on his skin. He touched it and felt a pulse of energy.

'What the heck? When did this appear? It has not always been there!' Logan wanted to scream out loud but he suddenly covered his mouth with his right hand using his left to cover up his shirt.

He didn't want anyone to suddenly overhear him or barge in and see the mark. He decided to keep it a secret, for now. He chose to look at the mark once more before going out but when he checked the mark seemed to have magically disappeared.

'But I'm sure I just saw an illusionary dragon mark on my skin! Could it have been me just imagining things?' Logan was shocked that the mark had disappeared but he could not help but feel that the mark seemed to have hidden itself within him.

He hoped that it wouldn't affect his life as he slowly got out of bed.

Going out he realised Jason wasn't in his room neither was Mark.

He decided to stroll around the faction for a while and soon came across Jason.

"Hey, Jason" Logan greeted.

"Yo Logan guess what?" Jason said excitedly.

"I can't think of anything, what?" Logan inquired raising an eyebrow seeing Jason hiding something behind his back.

"Hehe, I got us these tickets to go explore the Azure forest for a month," Jason said revealing what was hidden behind him to be two small wooden slips with some writings on them.

"So? Wanna come?" Jason asked.

'Although I don't possess an element this would be a good experience to see what the creatures of this world are like' Logan thought everything through.

"Alright let's go, starting tomorrow" Logan said with a smile.

The next day soon came and Logan along with his friend Jason were waiting for their instructor who'd be taking them for the excursion to the Azure forest. Soon a slightly short man with a black beard and brown eyes came and led them to where the spatial array that they would be taking was.

After passing through a spatial array they came to a Mystical Forest that seemed overflowing with the essence of nature. The surroundings looked exceedingly beautiful with strands of lush green thick condensed essence of nature visibly flowing.

In the forest, feeling a sudden change in the air. It was cooler, fresher, and more fragrant than the outside. It gave Logan the feeling of a change in environment he felt when he first came to this strange world

He heard birds singing, insects buzzing, leaves rustling, and some other strange noises but he knew they were not ordinary, this is to be expected since the azure is such a deadly place, he read about the azure forest and about the forbidden areas present in then and he knew they were are at risk of dying due to the formidable beast present, thankfully they had an instructor present to guide them.

Logan felt a sense of wonder and curiosity as he walked deeper into the forest. the trees were exceptionally tall and he could sense that most of them seemed to not contain ordinary fruits. 'I wonder what this world is for so many strange things to exist'

As he delved deeper into the forest with Jason they soon came across a beautiful pond, they approached because it seemed to contain a unique Silverline effect like a mirror, as they reached it they looked inside hoping to see the reflection of the sky or perhaps reflection but was shocked by what he saw.

A creature with thick dark scales and green eyes immediately sprung out from the pond towards Logan with such great speed that he could not react in time.

The instructor immediately acted before the horrific creature could get Logan, the creature was quite fast but the instructor was even faster and appeared before the creature swinging a punch at it. it seemed like a simple punch but it was this simple punch that destroyed the creature's head as it was sent flying backwards.

Jason screamed in a panic "What the hell is that?" he had just finally just gotten himself back and this was the first question that came to his mind.

"That's a grizzard, when it submerges itself underwater it becomes transparent, they are extremely dangerous and love to prey on humans, luckily I was able to act fast," the instructor answered.

"So you didn't read a manual on the Azure forest before coming here?" the instructor asked in a questioning voice as he noticed the expression on their face.

"There was a manual?!" both Jason and Logan screamed in unison as they stared at each other with wide eyes.

"Children these days, just pray you don't die too soon! At least let me get my pay first" the instructor said shaking his head.

Their heart immediately skipped a beat as they heard the instructor and their facial expressions became unsightly

Another grizzard lifted its head from the pond, sensing their presence.

It looked at them with its fierce eyes and gave a loud shout summoning its comrades.

"Stay behind boys!" a man with green hair and dark blue eyes suddenly appeared from behind with a four-star badge showing slightly on his clothes which were also the azure faction wear, but their green looked more pronounced and the golden stripes at the edges were thicker, taking up more space that that of Logan's cloth where the golden stripes were particularly small.

He turned and said to his colleague beside him who had brown hair and dark blue eyes, his eyelashes looked deeper as though it was carved and painted black, "Whoever kills the most gets the other one's treasures in his spatial ring." As he said so, he charged forward and muttered in a low voice, "Three flame petals of destruction."

The essence of nature immediately became chaotic, rapidly forming three orange flaming flowers made of nine slightly pink petals each. Logan was astounded because he noticed that the flame looked something like a rose flower, but each of its petals had nine strands of condensed fiery light.

The flower split its first petal as it slowly flew to where the beast were, as the petal reached the beast it split once again into the nine thin strands and each strand contained a terrifying explosive might. As each one fell on the ground where the grizzards was, there was a loud explosion.

'Boom!'

"So strong," Logan said in awe as he finally got to watch an Elementalist battle, he had to admit it was better than he had imagined, the fire looked so real and the explosion noises reverberating through the whole area brings about more of the thrill of what it feel to command the essence of nature at one's finger tips.

"I haven't even learned a single flaming petal of destruction. Just what rank is this student?" said Jason from his side as he looked at the large crater being formed.

His colleague, Jake, immediately acted as he saw Jared get ahead of him. "This guy, when did he already master the three flaming flowers of destruction? No wonder he dared to challenge me. I wasn't planning on using this weapon I found in an ancient ruin till the tournament, but I can't lose to Jared," Jake thought, taking out a sword. It looked like an ordinary sword, but upon looking at the sword, Logan and Jason felt their souls get sucked into it.

'What sort of sword is that?' they both wondered.

There was a humming sound being released from the sword. Jake immediately said in a low voice as he slashed forward, "Sound distortion."

As he slashed forward, the air seemed to rapidly condense into a thin straight yellowish line and it moved forward towards the three grizzards that were ahead of him.

As this line of pale yellowish light came in contact with the gizzards, their heads burst apart from the loud noise the sword slash seemed to carry.

The remaining gizzards in his path, although not touched by the sword's light, were still bleeding from their ears.

As Logan and Jason saw this, their jaws hung open and their faces filled with fear and apprehension, just what sort of weapon is that?

"How can he be so strong, and what is that sword?" Jason shouted, although he too had always imagined what it would be like to have strength, the strength of his attack has never been as strong as that, it was not even as strong as ten percent of the strength of the attack he was seeing.

"Stop showing off, Jake," said Jared.

At this moment, Logan and Jason immediately felt a terrifying aura locked down on them, causing them to break out in a cold sweat.

Jared immediately said seeing the creature "Jake let's handle this late-stage Rank 3 beast."

Jared and Jake immediately changed their demeanour and acted swiftly.

Jared muttered, "Ice shield," rapidly condensing a pale blue shield in his hand to block a poisonous attack aimed at his chest. The shield made a chilling sound as though something was being cooled down as the attack hit the shield and rapidly evaporated as gas.

"Ice arrow," he exclaimed, and six ice shards condensed out of thin air and shot out from his hand, killing six more gizzards. As the ice shards connected towards the weak points of the grizzards they froze up from inside, they were unable to resist the freezing effect of the ice element.

"That's my thirty-fourth kill now, Jake!" shouted Jared with a proud smile.

"Too poor, I'm already at my fortieth" Jake boasted.

"Not fair, you keep using that sword of yours to make things easier," Jared retorted, sending out ten more ice shards.

"Don't be jealous, boy. Your daddy is just getting started," Jake taunted, charging towards the late-stage Rank 3 grizzard.

Motivation for today.
