14. New ability
The next day Ast came to Anya's room. " So how are you doing?" Ast asked, worried that Anya would be scared of him. Anya on the other hand gave him a smile and said " I am fine. So when are to going to our hideout". Ast was glad to hear the question, it meant their relationship wasn't affected. Actually it was quite the opposite Anya's affection for Ast was growing and she wanted to be able to help him as well.
"well we can go anytime but we need a sort of alibi cause we might need to spend two three days in the cave" Ast answered.
" Oh okay, we can say we are going to uncle Raymond's house to play with sister Sophia, she keeps pestering me to come so no one will doubt that" said Anya with a smug look on her face.
"That's actually a good idea, let's do that" he said. So Anya and Ast informed the head butler about it and said to only tell their parents if they ask, which in itself was quite rare. Raymond was Tom's younger brother who lived in the nearby town, under the Blair's fiefdom. Blair family had control over several such town and Tom was the next head of the Blair's family chosen by his father Khan. Currently Khan was out of their fief and Tom was the de-facto head.
Anya and Ast again sneaked out of the garden and reached the cave quite fast. Ast had brought lots of item in one of the storage ring, as they might spend the week in the cave. On reaching the cave he took out two small mattresses and put them down near the pond. He explained to Anya what he had read about the fruit and also that staying near the pond will strengthen their soul. Both of them took one fruit each and ate it. As soon as the fruit entered their body they felt a warm current flowing inside their body. Suddenly both of them lost their consciousness and felt asleep. Their body was going through sort of a metamorphosis. Ast knew that the process would take one to two days, but it took them three.
On the third day firstly Ast woke up and saw the message from the system." [Host has eaten an ancient fruit due to which the body of the host has undergone changes. This lighting essence inside host body will continuously temper hosts body and enable him to use lighting in his various attacks. As this essence has nothing to do with hosts soul he can still fuse with an element and also use the element with which he fuses with and lightning at the same time. But the power of the lightning will not be as strong as someone who fuses this element with his/her soul] ".
