Forgive and Forget

Amora had finally taken a step out of her bed. The image of Andrew's body popping into her head almost sent her back down.

She braved the image and left her room. Where Aya rushed over and helped her balance. Amora felt better because of the medicine, but hadn't walked for a month straight, so her legs were a bit weak.

She forgave Andrew long ago, but would Andrew be able to forgive her, wherever he was? That question bothered Amora harshly. She was forced into believing that he would hate her and despise her for what she had done to him, as he did so well in her nightmares.

Amora felt like Aya was her therapist. With her help, Amora had mainly forgotten about the entire event, with slight reminders to it occasionally.

Amora stepped into the living room and lay on the couch. Leon and Reyon came out and sat with her, chatting quietly and not making it a big deal that she finally left her room after a month.

"Are you hungry?" Reyon asked, staying quiet and calm, unlike the snow storm still raging on outside.

"Yeah. I'm sorry for the trouble I caused with you both." Amora said, beginning to cry again.

"It's nothing, what happened is something we will need to forget. We need to move on and survive for Andrew. Maybe one day he can come back to us somehow. Elementals are strange that way." Leon said, his words bringing hope back into Amora's soul somehow.

There would be a point in time when Amora could be happy again, and yet she longed for the time to be now. She wished for it to just come back to her, she wished she could take back her actions and be normal again.

Amora, who started off as a normal girl, found out she was an Elemental, the daughter of Leon and Reyon, and who killed a teenage boy accidentally.

Was that a good headline? Amora wondered how she could have changed her life for the better.

Hours passed and Amora was staring outside, watching the snow fall and someone trotted through the snow nearby, soon looking up and waving calmly. Their smile remained happy, their eyes were blocked by an outrageously large cap.

"Hello." Amora said, hoping they would see her lips, as she didn't want to move her arm to wave.

The person did, and said Hello back, though Amora could only tell they said Hello by reading their lips.

Amora smiled peacefully as the person in the snow vanished quickly. Amora could tell it was just a creation of Andrew in her mind, and how he'd react if he were here. Amora felt more at peace with Andrew waving hello... but as Amora thought back, Andrew's lips looked more like it were saying... goodbye.

The vision she had was of course just that, a vision, and nobody was actually there, but Andrew had waved goodbye to Amora, vision or ghost, Amora was happier, believing that Andrew was now at peace somewhere safe from the storm.

Kori had entered an abandoned house to warm up before going back outside into the cold, where she almost had died of hypothermia.

"Cold fingers! You are supposed to be warm!" Kori yelled at her fingers, as if they'd warm up that way.

After she was done scolding her fingers, she left once again to brave the cold and make it home to her parents. Wanting to see them again and bring them their medicine, as they were very ill, as they had been for a long time now.

Kori knew it wouldn't be long until she'd be an orphan, and since she wanted to not be an orphan, she attempted to bring her parents their required medicine, so they can survive and be there for her, as she had always wanted.

Upon entering her home, her parents were asleep. She woke them up to take their meds and went to her room to warm up and browse the internet on her old laptop. Searching through the internet, the news was buzzing about Leon and Reyon finding their daughter. Which apparently was leaked information from an unknown source.

She continued reading up on the name of the girl, who was Amora, and was seen with Leon and Reyon everywhere they went.

"Interesting. I hope I can meet her to take pictures or something. Photos are just fun!" Kori said, hopefully not too loudly.

The man set up cameras around his abandoned house in hopes of protecting himself. He viewed them occasionally, but often returned his focus to what he was researching. He had researched Cody and smiled to see that the news knew of his death as well as Amora being with her real parents.

"Well well. Good thing Shirley will be 18 soon. Just in time for me to have some fun killing her!" He exclaimed, laughing wildly and maniacally, his eyes flaring up to a bright purple color, which lit up his dark surroundings.

Leon and Reyon spoke with Cole some, and then moved on to talking to Amora. They had planned to take Aya to the hospital to visit Jackson, who had been in a coma for at least a month and a half now.

"Right... be safe, see you soon." Amora wished them luck, wondering why they would go visit him now of all times. She hoped the storm would give mercy to her friend and parents.

Cole was left alone with Amora and pulled a chair up next to her, both of them staring outside.

"It's amazing how each and every single snowflake looks different... right? Just like us humans!" Cole exclaimed, to which Amora replied.

"Yeah, they all pile onto each other, such beautiful things, only to melt or be eaten, maybe even peed on by somebody's dog, peace goes away like that." Amora knew she was being a downer, but was trying her best at a joke as well.

Cole seemed to have gotten the joke and began laughing with her.

"I think that you're an amazing person Amora. Never forget that. I wish you good luck from here." He said, placing a small kiss on her forehead as he walked away.

Amora was a little flustered at first, until she realized that in some places, people count kisses on the forehead as giving someone good luck. So it wasn't as if Cole were flirting with her, not in a situation or condition that Amora appeared to be in currently.

"Yeah, good luck." Amora whispered, also hoping to someday get good luck and be happy once again.

Once at the hospital, Aya visited Jackson and spoke to him while he was in a coma, telling him what had happened recently, and how the snow has continued to fall quickly and painfully, and how Cole had brought Amora some medicine the other day.

Jackson's expression hadn't changed, he just looked like he was sleeping, and yet was injured so badly he was put into a coma. It was unbelievable to Leon and Reyon that someone could do this to someone who just turned 18 recently.

Someone so... evil could only do such harm.

Someone so cruel who couldn't care.

Who could kill anyone.
