Chapter Twenty-Three

My mother was a villain. That's why she died.. But I think it was just a cover to disappear off the radar. My mother wanted to be forgotten. I wonder why? I guess secret lies within the family. Just as my lies created the evil Electra, her death created me joining the villain side...

"We're back!! Karin found Electra.... She's in the north of the city resting. The Villain Association took a serious hit, but survived. It seems left them alive as a way to taunt us. She knows we are after us."

"Mother Béta, where is Karin then??"

"..Because she knows we are after her, she knows automatically where we are... Karin will hold her for some time.. We have till dawn before she comes and takes us all out. And if we die, this city will perished right after."

"So, the girlfriend wants to give us time. Babe, wgat do you see in the future??"

"Dred, since Electra is in it, I can't foresee anything. I'm blind.."

"Don't worry about that, daughter. Karin is doing that for us. And she's doing that for Electra too. Sandra, here's a letter from your daughter.. Guys, you better rest. Tomorrow, it will be war against a witch..."

War against a witch.. A witch...? I read about those in history book. Described as either God's Follower or Devil's Children.. They were once hunt by human for being different. And their hate for human outgrew since then. Thus, now, it is trying to end us, humankind.

"Daughter, are you tired? I called you to talk but, I understand if you can't.. I won't force you."

"Béta, I'm not tired. I'm just thinking about everything that happened. I knew war was at our feet, but I didn't think it would that close. And it's a war that started from our family. A war that started from me."

"We will stop it. Dwelling in the past won't change the future. Concentrate on what you do on the now and the future will be affected."

But..Mother...That sort of mindset was what caused this situation. I just found out that my mother was still alive. Electra is being controlled by a witch and menacing for war. Karin is probably dead.., well, I didn't know Karin. So, I don't really give a fuck. The one who should be affected is Sandra Jones, her mother..
