40: Unexpected Visit

Looking at the nervous Jiwoo, and the sweating Jisuk, Shinji thought to himself with amusement, 'They really suck at keeping secrets...'

He added inwardly, 'Well then, I would very much like to take the Brothers back to the Union, but they're caught in Shinhwa's territory. If I don't give the Brothers to them, it would just cause unnecessary trouble. Sigh.'

Shinji looks at Declan who was inside a water bubble. He then moves his hand and the bubble moves toward Jiyoung.

"Are you guys done talking? We need to go heal the injuries of Glasses over there," he told them, looking at Wooin.

"You're right. Let's go, everyone." Jiyoung agreed.

...

While they were waiting for a Shinhwa car, Shinji called a certain adult.

"Hey, Seongha... Yeah, don't bother coming here. Just head straight to Shinhwa's building."

After a while, Shinji sighed and replied, "Look, we took care of it, okay? I'll see you there.", ending the call.

"Who was that? Your father?" asked Jisuk. Jiyoung immediately slapped the back of his head.

"That's disrespectful, Jisuk," she said.

"It's okay, babe. And, Jisuk, no that wasn't my dad. That was Seongha." he told them.

"Babe?..." voiced out Jiwoo.

Jiyoung, hearing Shinji call her "babe", threatened to send a blast of wind toward Shinji, but he just raised his hands in surrender, and said,

"I'm sorry. It slipped out of my mouth..."

...

A few days later...

Two people were in the Shinhwa Chairwoman's Office...

"The Klein Brothers are both unconscious. We've isolated and are keeping them under constant surveillance. We've made preparations to question them as soon as they wake up." a man in a green suit told Jiyoung.

"But... Declan Klein suffered nerve damage from his hands, up to his elbows. We've suspected that it was because of the Ice that was wrapped around them." he added.

"Shinji..." the Chairwoman muttered.

"But, did you find out where they were going?" she asked.

The man nodded, and answered, "Yes. According to our findings, their movements are linked to Dr. Delein. Wooin confirmed that they were indeed interested in The Doctor's location."

"Hmm. Since they were looking for Dr. Delein, someone must have been in need of his services. Or most probably, his work and research data." Jiyoung told him.

"Have you found out who attacked Duran Klein? Jiwoo and Jisuk told us that the three of them were able to take him down. And, there were burns on his body. Burns that weren't caused by fire, according to Shinji. It's very strange." she said.

"Are you saying that someone helped them, but they're hiding that from us? But, it is the more likely situation. The three of them have a lot of potential, however, with Jiwoo's inexperience, and Wooin's injuries, I don't believe they have the strength to defeat a Klein Brother." he told her.

Jiyoung leaned back on her chair, and answered, "Yes. Even if what they said is true, I'm certain that they had some sort of help. I felt an intense surge of power as we were approaching their location. And, I suspect that the person who helped them... is Kayden."

"Wait- Why would he have helped?"

She replied, "I have no idea, either..."

"And, what baffles me too, is that Shinji was able to defeat Declan Klein all by himself..." Inhyuk added.

She looked out the long windows with an unknown expression and said, "I guess there is a reason why he's known as the "Strongest Rookie of Korea"."

...

Inhyuk, coming out of the Office, saw Seongha standing.

"Seongha Park? Sigh, did you come to claim The Brothers that we caught?" he said with squinted eyes.

"No, that's not what I'm here for." Seongha replied.

"Then what 'are' you here for?"

"I heard that you were the one who found and moved our Agent... He would have died, had you not arrived in time," he told him.

"Really?" the green-suited man asked.

"Yes... That's why... Thank you."

Inhyuk was shocked for a second, but he quickly grinned, and said, "My, my. I never thought that there'd be a day where Seongha Park would personally thank me~."

"Me, too!" voiced out someone holding a phone, hiding on the flights of stairs.

"That's why you should save this video quickly, Inhyuk." he said with a wide grin, typing something on his phone.

A second later, Inhyuk got a message on his phone, and... it was a video of Seongha thanking him.

While this was all happening...

A wavy-haired teen and a red-orange-haired girl came out of a boat.

"We're finally here." said the wavy-haired teen.

"Did you remember his address, Caspian?" asked the girl.

"Yep. We were here just a year ago... How could I forget his address...? It's XXXX-XXXX Street, right?" the teen replied.

"No... I- Just forget about it, Caspian. I will lead us there." the girl said.

"Oh... Alright. Thanks, Erza."

'I wonder what Shinji's reaction will be, once he sees m- us here?' thought Erza, a smile forming on her face.
