57 10.000 Years Old Ginseng

In amidst of flying home, he flew past a few cities. But as he was trying to fly back to Zhenqiu, he saw some commotion that made him curious.

Two people were fighting in the middle of the forest. One was a cold-looking girl, while the other one is a middle-aged man. When George walked nearby, he saw that both of them was fighting with fancy swords.

"I'm the one who found that ginseng! You should just go away, lass!" The middle-aged men blocked her sword easily.

"Hmph! I'm sure that this forest is our faction's territory! Who the hell are you to trespass it, if you are only passing by, it's okay.. but how dare you to steal from our Quqiu faction?! Take this! Quqiu's shadow slash!" Her sword turned into a shadow that's hard to see. Fortunately, it was day time.. if it was in the middle of the night, it would be very tricky to see.

"Don't push your luck! With your puny technique, I could kill you a thousand times. I'm just trying to be a good guy here.. So, you should just give up the ginseng!" The men snorted to her. He really has a very good defensive skill, as he just keeps blocking that girl's move with his sword.

George watched them fighting from far away. He looked at the ginseng curiously. "Why are they overreacting? It's only a ginseng... If this world is like earth, where ginseng is very scarce and expensive as f*ck, I can compromise for that.. but in this world.. isn't this world is supposed to have many ginseng?"

「Ding! It's not just any normal ginseng! It's a 10.000 years old ginseng. In a few moments, it will become a plant spirit and had a consciousness. I advise the host to get the ginseng!」

"What? Is it really worth it, tho?" George Said, but he just drunk the whole bottle of an invisibility potion while wearing the cloak of invisibility. He walked closer to the ginseng stealthily, without no one noticing.

The girl furrowed his brows when she realized that her skill was too inferior to him. "Hmph! Fine then, you made me use my trump card!" She grabbed something from her dimensional storage ring. It was something like a fire cracker. She lit up the wick and throwed it to the ground.

Soon, something like a flare could be seen in the sky. And a few people came and surrounded the men. The men suddenly became alert. "What are you doing?! You coward! How dare you to call all of your elders!"

While they are busy blabbering nonsense, instead of fighting. George already plucked the ginseng from the ground and flew away from that place. "What is this ginseng will do if it was turned into a spirit?" He wondered.

"Hmph! If I can't win, I should call my ally! And not dying like an idiot while protecting the ginseng! Eh? Where is that ginseng?" She saw the hole in the ground and angrily shouting some words. "YOU THIEF! Elders! He stole the 10.000 years old ginseng that our faction nurtured from one year ago!! Even though we found it one year ago.. we nurtured it with our own resources!" She looked at the men with a death shot eyes. All of the elders also looked at the men angrily. "How dare you stole the treasure of our faction?!"

They were very mad at the men because if there is a 10.000 years old vegetable or plants, they could turn into a plant spirit. If you have plant spirits, you could grow any kind of medicinal plants and the growth rate is faster than normal. Not only that, a plant spirit will make the spiritual qi in the surrounding area more denser, so it's perfect for cultivation.

The man who had a darkened face said angrily. "I didn't even get that ginseng and all of you already accusing me that!! Hmph! All of you are shameless.. Fine! If you want to do that, I'll let you all play!" The middle-aged men used a spiritual spell. "Heavenly ice palm!" A giant palm made of golden ice suddenly shot to the elders of Quqiu Faction.

"Th.. this technique!" The elders narrowed their eyes in shock.

George didn't want anything to do with any of them, so he just flew back to Zhenqiu faster. It would be bad if he was caught.

George thought that he was going to go back sooner, but the sky suddenly has gone dark. It wasn't because the sun has settled down, but there is a lot of cumulonimbus clouds roaming around in the sky. Fearing that he would get smitten by a rumble of thunder, he decided to take a break while waiting for the rain to stop.

Fortunately, there's some cave nearby. He wanted to come inside and just chill out.

But, as he started to go inside the cave, he heard a creepy sound coming from the inner part of that cave. It was the screaming sound of a woman. George was startled by that. "Uhh.. what is it?" He looked at the minimap and saw that there are a few people inside the cave.

"To go inside or not?" He can't decide that. "Ah well.. let's just use that new spell that I bought!"

George released a few breaths and chanted the incantation of the All-Seeing Eye spell.

"I summon the All-Seeing Eye.

To tear a hole into the sky.

Reveal to me that which is hidden.

Unveil to me what is forbidden."

From using the spell, he looked at the situation inside of that cave. From what he saw, he knew what that scream was. The girl was the same girl that he saw earlier. She was captured and was tortured by a few people. From the robe that they worn, George knew that they are from the same faction. There's also the same guy from before, but he just sleeping on the side. "Is he dead or just sleeping?" George wondered.

"Hmm.. I'm not a saint, so I'll just go to another cave!" Why should he save her? And besides, they are in the same faction, so they won't kill her. Even though he was the one who stole the ginseng, and that Quqiu faction shamelessly self-proclaiming that the ginseng plant was theirs. George didn't feel bad at stealing the ginseng, as it wasn't theirs in the first place. And there's another probability that they are lying.. As the existence of a 10.000 years old ginseng couldn't be trifled with. "Uhh.. maybe I should go away from their territory. Wait.. how could they come here faster than me?"

George frowned when he realized that something was wrong. "Maybe they used teleportation? Is there such a thing like that in this world?"

「Ding! There is. And it was just as host said.. there's a few array formation inside of this cave.」

George was intrigued by that. "How do you make one? I should make one, so I can go back to Zhaohao easily and pluck every skull that I can find there!"

「Ding! Buy it.. of course. This kind of thing is called a formation book. To make one, you still need to have a few ingredients to complete the array.」

George nodded. "Well.. the next time I went back to Zhaohao, I need to make one!"
