Eldritch Academy: I Grew Horns When I Woke Up

In the morning, Ars woke up and realized he had grown horns on his head. He was told that his Eldritch power has awakened and that he was actually not a full human. Everything spiraled out of control with that as a start. No Gods' temple accepted him. Lightning God is disgusted, the Goddess of Light hide the sun away from him. Without any choice, his father gave him a ticket to a normal life. Entering a school for Dark Union students and is forced to live a chaotic daily life with them. Ars genuinely thought he wouldn’t survive even for a day among the horror creatures. But as time passed… He befriended the most cruel student council president, learning how to adapt, became a leader of his class, and began to have fun. “Well, this isn’t half bad.” He said as an explosion that spread green gas rang behind him. “Ah, I need to run. That idiot mad alchemist is doing his weird experiment again!”

Chapter 14 – Alchemy Class [1]

Whatever he drank from that moment was absolutely not something normal humans should consume. The taste was addicting, that was a fact.

"Young Master, it's time for your class. Your pet will surely accompany you to school without a hassle, won't she?"

Maria asked a certain young Witch.

Luna looked up. It seemed that there was no way she could escape, not that she wanted to in the first place. The witch nodded.

"Of course I will." She affirmed.

Sighing, Ars nodded and stood up.

'Might as well enjoy today.'

"Will you be in Class 1-5 or Class 1-6?"

He didn't know how a 'pet' needed to act, so he asked Luna directly. The lavender girl blinked a few times, looking unsure of how to react.

"I will stay with you, Master. I am your pet now, after all. Every pet won't leave their Master's side without permission."

Ars felt like his brain went crazy. He shook his head.

Today would be chaos, then. There would be a total of 20 students walking around with 20 pets. From what he heard when he was in the infirmary yesterday...

'Students from Class 1-6 obliterated students from Class 1-5. Which means, my class has Class 1-5 students as their pets. Wow, this is really crazy.'

Fortunately, only two classes had this bet yesterday while other classes proceeded with their lesson normally. So, there would only be 20 pets until the weekend. No, perhaps they would disappear once the week passed.

'Those who accept defeat would become someone's pet too... I just hope something this chaotic stuff won't repeat itself...'

"Very well, let us go." Ars began his journey to the school.

Luna followed suit, half a step behind him. Her eyes locked onto the back of his head. The Witch felt her body going numb, especially her breathing as if she was being choked.

She hated this so much that she thought of a hundred ways to kill him once she was freed from the bond. But an invisible force forbade her from thinking such thoughts. It was the Collar of Submission's doing.

'Damn it! Damn it! I will kill him. I will definitely get my revenge!' She screamed in her mind.

Professor Oogie was looking at his students. By now, the number of students in the class has doubled. In addition to the 20 original students, there were 20 pets mixed in as well. And just as he had seen, the majority of the 20 pets belonged to Class 1-6.

"So now, today will be Alchemy. Everyone, please take note of today's lesson and..."

That fact didn't stop him from the lesson. Rather, he felt proud that all his students won and turned the students from Class 1-5 into their pet. He was especially proud of Ars Eldritch who managed to defeat Luna Witch, one of the known strongest among all first year students.

Smiling, he watched as the students nodded and wrote down on their papers. The pets didn't do anything. They stood next to their Master. Some were disobedient and were given orders to stay still, while one was especially obedient.

'Surprising. He managed to turn that arrogant Luna Witch into a good girl.'

Professor Oogie also knew of the Witch. As a professor, he wished to have her in his class.

But, alas, she wasn't particularly good in class placement and only used a simple spell to kill her peer. It was so normal that no professor considered her to be placed at Class 1-6 even though she had the ability. Thus, she fell into Class 1-5.

"Now that you understand basic alchemy, let's head to the lab. We will create our first potion."

Oogie approached the door to exit.

The door of the lab was located deep underground near the dungeon. Not a usual place where a lab was. Ars began to sweat.

'Something weird is going to happen.'

Soon, they were in the lab. There were 20 long tables with various scientific apparatuses. Jars and bottles were stored in the small room. Odd scents and some plants could be seen in pots.

Two chairs and two sets of apparatus were ready on each table.

"Sit at the table. With your pet." Professor Oogie said, "For the next lesson, you will learn how to create a potion. Every potion, even if it failed, will be tested on your pet. Hahaha, good for you having a free guinea pig."

The students beamed with expectation. Some laughed while others sneered. Most pets frowned at the notion that they might have to swallow potions later. They were afraid of being forced to drink disgusting and unsafe potions.

In response, Professor Oogie grinned evilly, trying to intimidate them into compliance. He had already warned the pets that should they try to break the rules, then they would receive punishment immediately.

Pets had no rights after all. No matter what, their job was to please their masters.

"Master, please succeed at making a potion. I can help you if need be." Luna also dreaded at the notion that she needed to drink some kind of nasty potion from Ars.

Because of the bond, her tone was one full of reverence. But, she had a tense expression, worried that Ars would use this chance to 'punish' her for her attitude yesterday.

Ars wasn't that much of a jerk, unfortunately.

So, he told her not to worry too much.

"I will try to make a good potion." He smiled, hoping that Luna would somehow see his thought and forgive him if he ended up screwing the potion.

"There is a list of potions you can create and their ingredients. All the potion ingredients are already here on the shelves. Feel free to mix and use what you want. I am here in case an explosion happens."

Professor Oogie revealed a menacing and evil smile as he floated in the air. Ars swore to himself that this alchemy class was somehow dangerous.

As such, every student began to open the book on the table. It contained a list of hundreds of different kinds of potions.

"Luna, what kinds of potions do we need in daily life?" Ars inquired. He had no idea what kind of potion he would need. Surely there was something at home where he could utilize it.

He wanted to learn something useful that he could use to protect himself and not something that only killed his opponent when needed or something else.

"Well, an Antidote Potion would be good for security purposes. Or a Durability Potion to increase one's endurance and vitality. Or you can also create a healing potion to heal your wounds or someone."

Luna was a Witch and naturally had knowledge about potion. She listed all kinds of safe potions available without hesitation and without reading the book. Ars had long since expected her to know more than anyone in this class.

'As a witch, it is natural then.'

Everyone looked surprised with the change in her tone, especially the 'pets' from Class 1-5. Those who had known about Luna before their transformation shook their heads and put their focus onto the book.

Only Ars didn't think too much about it.

'There are so many potions. Sleeping, agility, durability, etc. The category was also varied.'

Taking a glance, he also understood the difficulty of making them. And among them, there was one that interested him.

'And there's a Life Potion. Hmm, this one needs 5 ingredients and a simple step. The effect is... increasing lifespan for 1 day? It should be safe.'

"How about this?" He asked Luna for opinion. No matter what she was, she would be the one to drink his potion eventually.

Luna looked at the potion, opened her mouth, and then nodded.

"Seems okay. I will be certain to drink it properly, Master."
