*ding* "What would you like to name your contract?" Tru thought long and deep as he watched the onyx colored snake nibble at the flowers. The sight made him laugh. It finished devouring all the flowers before it crawled up Tru arm and laid across his shoulders. "Shadow. I'll name him Shadow." *ding* "The name Shadow has been set." The systems voice drifted into silence as a small black snake tattoo appeared on his right ring finger. Chapter 34- Rath Gul-2

Tru looked at the hooded figure and recognized them as the ones who were following the cages. He could see clearly that it wasn't a black cape but a dark green cape made from leaves. He used Ifrit's Mana Soul to identify the hooded figure.

Item Name: Redle Tree Leaf Cape

Rank: S

Item Description: "A cape made from the leaves of the Great Redle Tree, the Tree of Life. It allows the user to ward off detection from all sources, improves stamina recovery and prevents most status effects."

Tru finished reading the items info when he looked up and saw the hooded figure staring in his direction. Though he could not see their eyes he could feel a cold, murderous gaze fixed on him. He said nothing but crossed his arms in response.

"I highly suggest you don't do that again." said the hooded figure who spoke with a light air voice even for a man. Tru nodded and turned back to Rath Gul who was still fuming with anger.

Upon seeing Tru respond to the hooded man and not him enraged Rath Gul even further. His mana broke out and roaring fiercely as he stared down Tru. Neither party moved a single muscle as the crowd became rowdy.

"FIGHT!!"

"FIGHT!"

"FIGHT!"

The crowds chanting egged on Rath Gul who was becoming more and more excited as the chanting resounded through out the hall. Tru on the other hand was struck with a head splitting pain. He clutched his head with his right hand as his left had become numb.

"Kill hiiiimmmm, kill theeeemmm boooth!"

The whispering voice echoed loudly in Tru's head blocking out all other sounds. It caused him to become filled with intense feelings of hate and violence. It overwhelmed him as his own mana began to emerged and covered him in crimson color.

The hooded figure saw this and pushed Rath Gul back further away from Tru. This startled Rath Gul and his mana flow was disrupted however Tru continued to walk slowly towards both of them as if in a trance. His mana aura raged and flared higher and higher as he took each step.

"What is with him?" asked Rath Gul.

"Say nothing and don't move!" snapped the hooded man. Unbeknownst to Ray hug other man was nervous as to what was occurring with Tru.

The hooded man jumped back and his own mana aura ermerged, a emerald green color. Everyone could tell that this person was a Aero magic user. Though their mana aura was deeper and more robust than most other Aero magic users.

They created a wind bubble around themselves and Rath Gul. Tru still continued his trance like walk and continued towards the wind bubble when Shadow emerged from his arm. It quickly climbed onto his shoulders and Tru stopped in his tracks.

He felt nothing but a empty void of anger and violence that disappeared as he came into contact with Shadow. His mind cleared as his sense returned and saw the giant bubble of wind before him.

Tru looked as the hooded man waved his hand and the wind bubble vanished. Behind him was Rath Gul who had wide eyes and a stunned expression. Tru ignored him and walked over to where Nork was laying.

He bent down and could see the old orge was a bloody mess, yet he was still breathing. He clinched his fists and quickly turned towards Rath Gul. This swift movement of action put the hooded man back on guard against Tru.

"I don't know this man but I know you had the power to end him rather than belittle and maim." angrily said Tru "You are nothing but an animal, whom I will gladly end."

Tru's words didn't anger Rath Gul but enticed him to fight Tru more and more. He raised to his feet and dusted him self off and stepped towards Tru when he was topped by the hooded man.

"Lord Gul" said the man, "I do not believe it is wise to get closer to that man." He leaned into Rath Gul's ear.

"He has one of the Primal weapons, Lord Gul. Though he is weak I can assure you he will kill you." whispered the man.

"Hmph, fine." said Rath Gul. "What is it you'd advise me to do in this situation?"

"I say you allow him to leave, and if he wants he can take the bloody Nork with him. Only thing that matters is issuing the challenge to rule." replied the man.

"Xen, if he has one of these ancient weapons as you say wouldn't it be best to kill him now.? Besides why would I risk losing my right to rule by fighting him?" asked Rath Gul his anger was present in his voice as he glared at Tru.

"Do not worry, give him a grace period and in that time I will help you prepare. More so you'll be rested and ready to fight at full strength. Let's tip the scales in your favor and ensure your victory. Not to mention I can tell he hasn't fully unlocked his power yet as Champion.

So again let him leave and then not long after he will be yours to kill. Not to mention you could take possession of the weapon." said Xen. He could see the greed grow in Rath Gul's eyes that was impossible to hide.

The Ogre shook his head and moved his companion to the side and walked towards Tru. He stood towering over the red gray headed man silently.

"That hooded man seems to have more secrets than you." said Wrath "He likely has other reasons for being here especially given the cloak he's wearing. The cowardly fool I bet that he isn't supposed to be here."

"Hmph." responded Tru as he could not refute that Wrath claims made a bit of sense. He and Rath Gul continued their stare down when the latter nodded towards Nork.

"Take him and leave, human. I will allow you to leave safely only the chance you accept my challenge to rule here in Eagle Gold. Do you accept?" asked Rath Gul his eyes glaring like a predator stalking its prey.

"I accept." quickly said Tru "Only that I add you give me a grace period to prepare."

Rath Gul nodded and asked "How much time are you asking for?"

"17 days. In 17 days I will come back here and fight you for the right to lead." said Tru. Rath Gul did not answer but looked back to the hooded man who gave a silent nod.

"Fine." said Rath Gul "17 days it is then, uh what's your name?"

"Tru Lee"

"Well Tru Lee be back in 17 days or I will come and find you. Now take that elderly swine and leave from my sight." exclaim Rath Gul as he walked away.

Tru walked over and grabbed Nork and easily lifted the large ogre. Rath Gul was impressed for such a small human to effortlessly lift an ogre. He the gestured to the door as the guards made way for his exit.

"Shadow Walk" said Tru. Immediately a large puddle size of dark mana appeared below him as he sunk into. Rath Gul frowned at the sight but didn't move. Tru gave him a sly smile as he disappeared into dark puddle leaving no trace.

"Tch, why guarantee the bastard a safe exit if he was going to do that all along?!" exclaimed Rath Gul as his mana aura flared but dimmed down quickly and sent him into a coughing fit.

"Lord Gul you know you mustn't over exert your body especially when using so much mana." said Xen.

"Yes I must go and rest now. Then tomorrow I shall began training for the fight. Everyone shall leave and return home, the feast is over" said Rath Gul as he exited the hall.

Xen said nothing and nodded as he followed Rath Gul out. The rest of the ogres left excited for the battle to come as they cared nothing more than blood shed and food.

Sor and the rest of the gobs were left when Gulu came up and gave them a nasty smile. He then lead them out of the feasting hall and to a dark cave just behind it. In the cave were piles of straws and buckets.

"You will sleep here and in the morning you will begin working." said Gulu

"Working? Working where?" asked Chief Rye.

"In the mines, now be quiet and get some sleep. Oh and a special good night to you 'King' Sor." mocked the Orge as he left them hunger and cold for the night.
