Soul Survivor

Reima mentally chuckles as he begins projecting his experience at fighting Gaunter O'Dimm. Even throughout his years of fighting various beings in the multiverse, Gaunter had undoubtedly been the most powerful. Obviously, there were probably stronger opponents out there, but Reima was in no rush to delve into a world he was not strong enough to handle. He was a father of many, and felt no urge to test his strength against universe destroying threats, especially when he had an eternity to take his time with.

Diablo's reaction was funnier than he'd thought, if the demon still had eyes, they'd no doubt be rolling out of their sockets already. It wasn't surprising either, Diablo had become the second most powerful being in its universe, barring the "god" that created it all in the first place. And yet, here he is, being shown a demon capable of freezing time and a whole other manner of abilities he hadn't known to exist.

Sure, wizards were sometimes capable of manipulating time to a limited degree, slowing it in a certain area to help in combat, but this was another thing entirely... This being, "Gaunter O'Dimm", had literally stopped time for the entire world, every creature, plant, person, and thing had been stopped and suppressed.

This was more impressive when you consider the fact that everything had an amount of innate magic resistance, even regular humans could resist one or two magic missiles, even if they'd be horribly injured by it... But when you freeze time for everything around the world, the magical resistance adds up substantially. Diablo felt that he'd need to be at least one thousand times stronger than his peak in order to accomplish something like that, and that's supposing he knew how to manipulate time in the first place.

Reima continued sending a constant stream of information about Gaunter O'Dimm to Diablo, taking grim satisfaction when he could see the coils around Leah's soul start to loosen in a manner akin to someone's mouth going agape.

He slowly surrounded the tendrils while making sure Diablo didn't notice him, and while he was projecting Gaunter's demise at his hands he grabbed all the tendrils at once, restraining them and preventing them from grabbing hold of the poor girl again.

Feeling of rage, panic, and funnily enough, fear, were unconsciously projected through Diablo's frantic actions. Reima didn't hold any pity for the big bastard though, absorbing the soul tendrils into himself while approaching the soul itself.

Diablo could feel the lose of connection to the tendrils, something that shouldn't have been possible but was... "I WILL GRANT YOU ANYTHING YOU WISH!" they offer.

Reima "Uh huh? I wanna ask you something first... On what grounds are you negotiating? I have you in a weak and vulnerable position, only moments away from being permanently destroyed, you hold no more hostages, no power, no pawns, no wealth."

Diablo quickly tries to think of something that might very well save his existence, but these obvious and blunt thoughts are easily picked up by Reima, regardless, he plays along, wishing to see the "Lord of Terrror" terrified.

Diablo "YOUR HUMAN SENTIMENTALITY!"

Reima "For you? I hold none." he states abruptly, the demon wasn't even worth being a villain with his current power level.

Diablo "YOUR KINDNESS!"

Reima projects a snort which washes over the already mortified demon.

Diablo "YOUR HUMANITY!"

Reima "While I contain a large amount of humanity, right now its pushing me to simply devour you." he says, not explaining himself further.

Diablo is running out of lifelines to grasp, finally resorting to something he had previous never thought... "YOUR PITY!"

Reima doesn't even respond to this one, like he would hold pity for a genociding demon who'd committed more crimes than even Reima had. He reaches out and grabs the soul, slowly reeling it in, taking his time as the slow and agonising end approached Diablo.

Reima could feel the terrified demon's attempts at escape, but nothing worked, he absorbed it in the most painful fashion he could manage before nodding as it was finally captured.

Once done he takes a glance at Leah's soul and finds that it possesses a bit more life than something that'd been under the influence of "Satan" should. He pulls himself out of the spiritual realm and looks down at the large demons body, he climbed off of it and walked towards Mathias and Selina.

Mathias "Did you do it? Can you help Leah?" he quickly asks, his exhaustion not managing to dull this rather important moment. Reima nods but Mathias just looks at Diablo's body and frowns, "But... How are we going to return Leah her body?"

Reima smirks, "What? Can't cope with your girlfriend being 10ft, red, covered with horns and an internal temperature that'd melt your cock off?"

Selina "Dad!" she exclaims, not wishing to hear about anything to do with penises from her father.

Mathias "S-sir... R-reima, surely you are joking... I admit having Leah in this body would be distressing, but not just for me... I don't know how she would react." he says, Reima picking out with a passive legilimency scan that he's actually sincere.

Reima shrugs, "I don't think it'd matter to be honest, I have no idea how long it will take for her to regain her mind, or if it's even possible... She might just stay in a coma forever for all I know." he says, causing Mathias face to pale.

Reima continues, "Her body can be returned to normal though, it might take some elbow grease on my and a few other peoples behalf, but I think we can do it... There might be some side affects though." he mutters, getting a pained but hopeful look from Mathias. "Ah, young love." he says aloud at seeing the man's care for the woman.
