Chapter 26, There are more God cards, Duh!

The faces of the pair of brothers were grim as they know Marik doesn't accept failure for their mission.

I return all the cards back to the deck before storing it in my trench coat. The illusionary forms of Mohg, Radahn and Miquella appear. 

Radahn scowls and looks at Miquella, 'Just so you know, I didn't like it, the experience of being in a lighter body than I'm used to was just weird even with the amount of mind-fuckery Miquella was doing just to keep me sane.'

 I Look at Miquella who looks a little drained but happy I just give him a look before saying mentally. 'How much mind-fuckery?' he responds with a flat palm that he shakes, 'a moderate amount, it was mainly having to balance the consciousness of Radahn with the instincts of Mohg.'

Mogh actually pips in at this, 'Is that why I don't remember it but I can feel an echo of the experience ?' he says with a shrug.

No idea, it's his body, maybe he felt something like what Godwyn did in his dead body.

Me and Rebecca start to walk towards the pair of brothers, who are panicking while we approach, I smile at the idea that their scared of the little girl but I know its just me.

"well You lost, but you made me play my god card so good on you, but it was mainly Rebecca who set it up." I say with a shrug.

 Scar the one which seems more volatile of the pair Yells "That shouldn't exist, There should only be three god cards, yours must be a fake. Wait, that must have meant your cheating, so the duel is void hah."

I look at the brother and give him the look of looking at an idiot, but I sigh and turn towards Rebecca, "Hey Rebecca you probably got taught by your grandfather but was Egypt the only civilization during that time period."

Rebecca looks confused at the question but she answers in her confusion "No their were others, the only one I can remember on the top of my head were the Hittites who had all the tin during that era that was used to make bronze which they used for weapons."

her answer makes the brothers confused as well. "My point of the question is that EGYPT wasn't the only civilization, other nations could have used Duel monsters and said nations had their own gods, so why assume there are only EGYPTIAN god cards."

the simple statement stumps the pair of brothers.

I continue "it doesn't make sense when you take into account that Egypt's territory is mainly static to the region around the Nile, if they had god cards behind them why not take over the world or at least the fertile crescent, simple The surrounding nations had powers on par with the god cards to rebuff their advance, making other GOD cards possible in the grand scheme of things."

The step by step theory causes the gears in the heads of the brothers to turn. 

"regardless you just don't pull out a god card like its a common sight, hell if we knew you had one, we would have been more careful." Mufasa says.

That makes me laugh lightly, "oh yeah that would certainly be the case, but that's why it'll remain a secret." my words cause the pair of brothers to worry.

"That won't be possible, you just summoned a god card. Marik and Odeon would be able to sense it." scar says in a hurry.

I just smirk and take a step towards them, "Oh yeah that would certainly be the case If I didn't create a spiritual Perception Barrier around us before the duel, Marik, Odeon and Ishizu would be come at me screaming sacrilege or something stupid. too bad Marik's a man child, Odeon has no back bone and Ishizu already lost her ability to mess with me."

My words cause rage and fear to grow in their hearts as they realize only they and Rebecca know I have a god card currently and Rebecca doesn't know the significance of that piece of information.

Rebecca speaks up and questions me. "Who are these guys anyway, i get their not here for the tournament really but why try and kidnap me and teddy?" I look at her and see the teddy bear in her hand which she's nuzzling.

"oh that's simple, their a bunch of people who follow the orders of the worlds biggest Man child, who thinks having 3 very strong duel monster cards would allow him to rule the world. News-flash they won't. currently Yugi Moto, Seto Kaiba and their Boss Marik Ishtar each control one of those three, so Marik is doing everything in his twisted mind to try and get the others ones even though he lost one to Yugi in a major blunder like an hour ago."

She giggles at that, "He sounds like a man child, doesn't he teddy." she then starts to pantomime using in the teddy, "Yes he does Rebecca, he sounds like his has no friends as well."

I turn to the brothers and give a side eye to the girl who's talking to herself dissing someone for having no friends.

"well anyway, there are multiple ways I could deal with you two but I think I'll just do the old natural method."

This causes the pair of brothers to start trying to run away in fear thinking I'm gonna kill them.

In a sense I am since their both brainwashed outside of the barrier but when they turn around I simply grab them both by the head with a single hand each and do some spiritual lobotomy.

I do the same as I did for Guinevere and remove the brand Marik has on their minds, breaking them free of the brainwashing, I'm getting better at it since I don't give them Spirit sight.

The process is way quicker maybe summoning one of the god cards loosened my spiritual veins or something mumbo jumbo like that, I must have though of something like that since even Miquella responds.

[Yeah, it kind of did.]

this catches my attention as I finish the spiritual lobotomies, 'What's Changed.'

[Oh well when my god card form was Summoned, it broke some of the spiritual muscles within your body due to the sheer density of the card's spiritual strength, now the duel is over the muscles have essentially regrown and become tougher, Its enough that I feel I can actually Form the God card for another deck now.]

'Just to make it clear, you spoke earlier about deck cores and the lot, I assume the Deck core are essentially God Cards themselves.'

[yes and no. its not fully clear since I can sense there are decks without God cards, they have cards of equivalent strength but their not 'god' cards, I know one of them is at least this twin headed dragon who keeps prodding at me to get his deck ready without helping me with forming its core when its a jumbled incoherent mess.]

'Oh Dragonlord Placidusax, yeah don't worry patience is something he has in spades. happens when your the Elden Lord over a timeless race like the dragons.'

I can hear Miquella's Gulp even when he's not here.

[A Dragon Elden lord and you though it not prudent to inform me of this fact?!]

I shrug before turning to Rebecca. "so Rebecca do you still have plans for the tournament even though its just a veil for people just stealing each others cards at the top?"

This snaps Rebecca from her self conversation with the teddy bear. "I'm still in, I won't lose to the likes of Seto Kaiba, and if I beat him and Marik I can just give the big mean God cards to Yugi since I don't think I would like them."

I tilt my head and think for a second before coming to a decision. "I can't make you stop but as a warning, your grandfathers deck won't be able to beat Kaiba, His god card has an Attack of 4000, it would require your ghoul to have over 24 monsters in the grave while having protection from the god cards effect which is a board wipe."

This causes Rebecca to frown at the statement. but I continue to speak. "But at the cost for a favour I'll cash in the future, I can give you a deck strong enough to fight against Kaiba's Dense Obelisk and Marik's mega ultra chicken, maybe even beat Yugi's Sky noodle."

She looks at me with her wide eyes in curiosity, she simply says in full seriousness. "I'm interested."
