One Shot One Kill

Reaching the top, I was met by a ruined church. As I walked toward it, I noticed another merchant. In front of him was a small root protruding from the earth.

Gazing at the entrance of the ruined church, I saw a man in golden armor. He wielded a golden halberd and a golden shield, and his horse, also clad in golden armor, stood proudly beneath him.

"A horse, huh? That brings back bad memories. Who is that?" I asked the merchant.

"Tree Sentinel," the merchant replied.

"I see. He doesn't seem like much of a talker. Not that I'm a chatty person myself."

Walking toward the Tree Sentinel, I pulled the Bewitched Alonne Sword from my inventory and stabbed it into my stomach. "Urgh, it hurts every damn time."

Focusing on the Tree Sentinel, I positioned the katana at my left side and placed my right leg in front of the left.

BOOM

I dashed forward, tearing up the ground beneath me. I reached the Tree Sentinel in mere moments and swung the katana upward, slicing both the horse and the rider in half.

Blood rained down on me, soaking me in crimson. But what shocked me was that the blood was red. What the hell is wrong with this world?

WHITE-FACED VARRE POV:

"In the name of the Formless Mother, how did he slice the Tree Sentinel in one swing?"

"This man is not a Tarnished; he doesn't have the hue of grace in his eyes. Then what is he?"

"I shouldn't mess with this guy. I will inform Lord Mohg about him."

Azeroth POV:

Walking back to the ruined church, I was met with the shocked face of the merchant.

"You are a monster," the merchant said.

"I know that already."

"Ah, by the way, my name is Kale. It's nice to meet you, Unblessed."

"And what does that mean?"

Kale pointed to the small root coming from the ground and asked, "Do you see anything there?"

"No," I answered.

"Exactly. You are not blessed by the grace to see the light of grace, which means you cannot see the path of light that leads to the title of Elden Lord, making you unfit for that title, even though you are strong."

'Well, I'm not interested in that title in the first place.'

"And only the Tarnished from the prophecy can see the light of grace and the path of light?"

"I don't know how you know about the prophecy, but no, every Tarnished can see the light of grace, but only the chosen one can see the light that leads to the title of Elden Lord."

"Can you tell me more about what happened to the children of Queen Marika after the war?"

"Sure, I can tell you."

"Ah, one thing before you start: do I need to pay?"

"Nah, let's consider it a gift."

'Heh, this guy understands.'

Godwyn the Golden died on the Night of the Black Knives, before the shattering of the Elden Ring, making him the first demigod to die.

Morgott the Omen King resided at the Throne of the Elden Lord, protecting it from intruders.

Luminary Mohg's location remains a mystery; no one knows where he is.

Lunar Princess Ranni resided beside Caria Manor.

Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy, after the war with the Leyndell army, was said to have merged with a serpent that was a traitor of the Golden Order in the past, becoming the God-Devouring Serpent.

Malenia, Blade of Miquella, was born afflicted with the Scarlet Rot, which ravaged her from within and cost her several limbs. After her fight with General Radahn, she was heavily injured and taken by her soldiers to the Haligtree to recover.

Miquella the Unalloyed, like his twin sister Malenia, was born afflicted. While Malenia was born with rot in her body, Miquella was cursed with the body of a perpetually young child. It is said that before sending his sister to fight General Radahn, he embedded himself into the Haligtree. However, before he could finish this process, his tree was cut open, and Miquella was kidnapped. It is not known who kidnapped him, but some say that he was taken by his half-brother Mohg, as they went missing at the same time.

General Radahn, Conqueror of Stars, who was called the strongest demigod, was consumed by the Scarlet Rot after Malenia used it during their battle. The rot ravaged Caelid and devoured Radahn from the inside, eating away at his psyche. Following the Battle of Aeonia, Radahn roams the Wailing Dunes as a mindless beast, devouring the flesh of friend and foe alike, howling at the sky.

Sighing, Kale opened his bag and took out a map to show me the location of Radhan.

After saying goodbyes, I opened my inventory and took out The Crown Of The Ivory King. In theory, with the power inside of it, I can heal Radhan from the Scarlet Rot that eats his body.

After all, acquiring an ally known as the strongest demigod could prove to be advantageous if something were to happen in the future.
