Chapter 2

"Almost done," Oboreru muttered as he wrote on a paper. He stopped writing and stood up from the table.

"My parents should at least be satisfied that I wrote them a letter." Oboreru yawned as he began to put his shoes on. A day had passed since he'd gotten that letter, right after he got the letter he began searching up who it was meant to go to. All he could gather was that the letter was meant to go to a monastery a little bit away from his house, he did feel bad for stealing from a 'monk' but it was his last chance to pursue a football career.

"Time to go," Oboreru said as he pumped himself up, The place he needed to go to was maybe 5-6 miles away so he wanted to leave early in the morning. He started his venture out at 5 am give or take and made it to the 'Japanese football union' Oboreru almost thought it was a joke because of how shabby the building was. But he didn't have the leeway to ignore this opportunity, so he made his way into the building.

"Woah," Oboreru whispered as he opened the door revealing almost 100 male students. He came early but still so many people had arrived before him. He felt awkward, he was the only one not wearing his school uniform. He slowly made his way to the corner, one thing he noticed was that he was a great deal taller than most of the other students. Oboreru checked his phone and realized he'd have to wait another 30 minutes till it started, he put his headphones in an began playing on his phone.

Oboreru kept playing until a loud sound echoed throughout the room, even through his headphones it was deafening.

"Congratulations, you unpolished lumps of talent" An older man grumbled on the stage,

"According to my personal judgement, the three hundred of you are... The best strikers in japan. Well that are under 18 that is" The man said, his voice was raspy like he hadn't talked in a while.

"I am Jinpachi Ego, Japan hired to me to ensure it's victory in the next world cup." murmurs could be heard throughout the building as the students chattered amongst themselves.

He shushed the crowd as he continued.

"Let me be clear, Japan's victory is only one piece away. Like a puzzle piece, without that one piece we'll never win. Now what that piece is? The birth of a inhuman striker!" Ego seemed almost exhilarated as he lectured us.

"And Blue lock is going to birth that striker," Ego proclaimed as a screen was projected behind him.

Questions like "What is Blue Lock?" or "Are you insane?" were being shouted across the room.

"Blue Lock, A facility created only for the purpose of birthing Japans striker. If you choose to accept my invitation you will be sent to live their. You will be subjected to a carefully crafted training routine and you won't be able to return to your previous lives." Ego said as he pointed to different parts of the facility and explained them.

'Is he insane? He must be mentally ill' Oboreru chuckled to himself, It didn't matter anymore. He was going to 'Blue Lock' Regardless, He had nothing else to do. He decided that the rest of Ego's speech was useless and went back to fidgeting with his phone.

about 10 minutes later a passage appeared behind Ego, Oboreru began making his way towards the door when he saw some kid running towards the door. And just like that every single student rushed to get to the door.

"Ah crap I want to get a good seat on the bus." Oboreru laughed before charging into a group of students. He was so riled up for this, He couldn't wait to go to this 'Blue lock'.
