Edward

Vasili's face was beet red as he quickly glanced my way. He had been staring at me so much these past few minutes I started to wonder, if he was okay? I had to admit throughout lunch I stared at him too. The pure joy on his face whilst he ate the burger had me a bit on the edge if I was honest. His groaning did not help either. I had no idea why he was having such an effect on me, but I was pretty sure if you asked me to describe him to you I could do it without hesitance.

The first time I met him I did not really care about his appearance, but the more I spent time with him the more I noticed. Whenever he got worked up he would tie up his hair into a tiny little man bun on top of his head, like how he had now. He had a beauty spot on the right side of his jaw and his lips always seemed to be perfectly pink no matter what he did.

I was not really known for having a main best friend, I had many best friends, but there was not one single top one. They all seemed to be on the same level for me, but Vasili, over time I believed could take that spot. I did not feel tense around him, he made me feel normal again. Everyone since Selena, seemed to be walking on egg shells around me and it was exhausting reassuring them I was okay.

With Vasili that was barely a worry. He had never met her or known how much she meant to me. To him she was just another ex that could be gotten over with another girl and a shot of vodka. Maybe because he was younger than my peers that his outlook on life was so different. To him his adult years were really just beginning and the whole responsibility of life had not hit him yet. I felt a bit envious towards him that things like marriage and starting a family were so far away.

He seemed to not even pay attention to my stares as he texted away. If it was anyone else I would have had a fit that they were laying so casually on my couch, but with him I found it funny. He looked so at home even though I had only known him for a few days now.

"So what are we going to do for the rest of the day? Not that I'm bored or anything, but I am bored," he huffed, he turned his head to look at me and his blue eyes nearly set me into another trance.

"I have a mini golf course up on the rooftop," I shrugged.

His body immediately filled up with energy as he shot up from the couch, "Well lead the way!" I chuckled lightly leading him to my private elevator. I was the only one who had access to this part of the building since I loved my privacy and well owned the building. Amandas' and my obsession for mini golf started last year, so being the awesome big brother I am, decided to get a personalized mini golf course for her and I to use.

In total it had ten holes with all different kinds of obstacles that varied with difficulty. It was probably the best decision I had ever made. When we got to the top it was a tad bit chilly, but it helped cool down my hot body. I had no idea why, but being around Vasili made me warm up.

"Wow! This is probably one of the best courses I have ever seen!" Vasili walked so quickly out of the elevator I barely had time to catch up. Instead of the fake green turf they always used I decided to get a gold turf, because I was fancy that way. The different clubs were against a wall varying in color. Vasili picked a black one whilst I went with a turquoise colour. "I must warn you I am a master when it comes to mini golf," he bragged placing his ball down.

He spread his legs apart and playfully stuck his butt out which had me snorting in laughter. He told me to shut up pretty quickly and focused. It was like watching Tiger Woods get ready to take a shot. He hit the ball and it shot up the bridge, through an amount of turns and twists to land right next to the hole.

"Impressive, but I have to warn you I am very competitive," I placed my ball down and hit. It smoothly went through the obstacles and with pure luck went straight into the hole.

"Unfair! You've played this course a number of times for it to be muscle memory by now," he protested and childishly stomped around.

"Sounds like a sore loser to me," I laughed. He gave me a stink eye and for the next hour we continued till we were at the very last obstacle. Vasili and I were neck and neck when it came to points, and if he was able to get a hole in one from this shot he would win.

Would I let that happen?

Hell no. Just before he took his shot I sneakily approached him with his back to me. Once I was right behind him, I waited for when he was about to swing and just as he moved his club up, "Boo!" I screamed loudly into his ear. The ball flew past the course, into the air, over the protective railing and fell down towards the ground.

"Oh you little!" he yelled throwing his club in my direction, but I was fast enough to evade him. He chased me across the rooftop till I decided to escape to the stairwell. I was fit, but Vasili must have shared the same genes as Usian Bolt, because he was right on my heels. When I made it downstairs I ran to my bedroom since we were on the top floor.

I looked behind me and there was no sign of Vasili. My body instantly relaxed which was a big mistake, without any warning whatsoever my body flew across the room and landed on the bed. He was on top of me in seconds. We wrestled for minutes whilst screaming at one another.

"You are an ass. You just couldn't handle loosing," he pushed against my face whilst I tried to strangle him.

"There was no competition to begin with!" I laughed and flipped us over so I was on top of him. He tried to throw a punch, but I ducked it easily.

"You sound like a sore loser!" he screamed then managed to flip us over once again so I was laying down. During the flip he found a way to grab both of my hands and put them above my head.

"I told you I was competitive," I chuckled. He tried his best not to smile, but found himself doing so anyway. Both our chests were moving rapidly as we tried to calm down. "To be honest I feel sorry for the poor soul the ball landed on." We both beamed before breaking into howls of laughter. There were practically tears running down both our faces as we tried to desperately breathe.

"You're crazy," he smiled and soon we had recovered from our breathless states. Vasili decided he was too tired to stay up so released my hands and collapsed onto my chest. He was straddling my lap and his upper body was spread onto my chest. I was too tired to protest so just casually put my hand on his back. Since his head was just centimetres away from my face I could smell his hair. It smelt like fruits and honey, it was very sweet for a man, but I found myself smiling. For someone so tough he was so very soft.

"I don't think I can get up," he pouted looking up at me.

"Well we can't just lay in bed all day and do nothing," I argued. To be honest that was exactly what I wanted to do.

"Fine. Mind taking me to the supermarket I need to get some stuff," he yawned resting his head against my chest once again.

"Okay let me quickly change." He easily slid off my body. I went over to my walk in closet and undressed to only my trunks. Since I was in no mood to dress up I grabbed a Nike tracksuit, a shirt with sneakers then went back into my room. Vasili's face flashed red for a second when he saw I was half naked and I simply chuckled.

I quickly dressed and when I turned around I still found him staring at me. "You ready?" I asked snapping him out of his daze and he simply shook his head. He did not seem to be in the mood for walking so I lifted him up.

"If I knew you were the pick me up type I would have refused walking a long time ago," he sighed and rested his head on my shoulder. He had his legs wrapped around my waist and his arms hugged my torso as I held his thighs. To be honest I sincerely hated picking up people, but Vasili was strangely comfortable and awfully flexible.

"Never again," I warned even though there was a smile on my face. I carried him till we got to one of my Mercedes and I put him in the passenger seat. The drive to the supermarket did not take long since I lived close to everything. Before we went in I grabbed a pair of sunglasses and a hat. It was a little disguise so people did not recognise me immediately unless they paid attention.

"You know I can still see it's you with those freckles," Vasili laughed and shook his head as we climbed out.

"Shut up," with that we walked into the store. Vasili had grabbed a trolley on the way in and was throwing all sorts of things into it. "What do you need so much stuff for?" I questioned picking up the box of Scrabble he threw in.

"I don't like to go out now and then for groceries," he shrugged throwing in two buckets of candy floss. So far no one had noticed me and I did get a few questioning glances here and there. We were on the crisps and sweets isle when a young teenage girl entered the same isle. She was with a group of friends, but when she looked in our direction she gasped.

"Oh my soul! It's Edward Coleman!" she screamed. All her friends looked my way and they also started screaming like damn banshees. This clearly drew in a crowd and before I knew it I was surrounded by people asking for pictures or autographs. I smiled at them and took pictures since it was not in my nature to be rude, but I really wished John and my other bodyguards were with me. They were really good at distancing crowds from me.

When I looked for Vasili, I saw him pushing his trolley casually not even bothering to save me. "You're on your own!" he laughed before disappearing into the store. This is why I never went to malls anymore. After a few minutes I had managed to get away from the crowd and back to my car. Vasili was not waiting so I figured he was still busy. I waited for him and played music till I saw his figure coming out of the store.

"Thanks for the help back there," I growled helping him pack everything in the trunk of my car.

"I warned you that the hat and sunglasses did very little to hide your face," he laughed loudly slapping his thigh, "You should have seen your face. It was like watching a cat in water."

"I'm never taking you to the store again," I folded my arms across my chest and leaned against the car.

"Don't be upset Ed. You handled it very well," he smiled. I chose to ignore him till he was done. "Are you seriously giving me the silent treatment?" he pouted now standing in front of me. I parked a bit far from the store so no one would really see us. He pulled my sunglasses off my face very gently. Once his eyes met with mine I made a very pointed decision to look away from him with my head held high.

"Okay I'm sorry for ditching you," he gave me a small smile hoping that I would give in. I did not. "Ed," he frowned. He sighed then put his hands on my folded arms to pull them down to my sides. His body was very close to mine which had me feeling weird for whatever reason. He put his hands on my waist very gently before putting them on my shoulders, "I'm sorry for ditching you," he whispered in my ear and gently placed a kiss on my jaw.

I inhaled sharply at the feeling and instinctively put my hands on his waist as a reflex. This made the whole situation a whole lot worse, since we were so close to one another and his lips were still on my jaw. "Do you forgive me?" his hot breathe fanned my neck taking away the cold. I was still too shocked to respond so he must have taken it that I was still angry. He gently placed another kiss on my neck and let it linger. For some reason it felt nice. Not as repulsing as the first time this happened.

My body sort of welcomed it with a weird sense of need I did not understand. "Please forgive me?" he whispered moving down to my collar bone. A slight groan escaped my lips when his soft lips left a fevered kiss there.

"I forgive you," I panted out feeling way too hot by all of this. Vasili moved back a little with a smile on his face. As our eyes met once again I noticed how dark his blue orbs were, how flushed his cheeks were and our position. His legs were slightly open so my other leg was between them; my upper thigh against his manly region, my arms wrapped around his waist, his other hand behind my neck and other on my chest. It was too intimate to be overlooked as normal and I think we both knew that by how heavily we were breathing.

Just as I was about to say something Vasili's phone rung disturbing whatever little bubble we had. He jumped back instinctively and answered it. "Hello Mary," his voice held so much adoration it had my gut feeling uneasy. I did not know what the feeling was or why it suddenly bothered me so much that his girlfriend was always calling him, but it ticked me off slightly.

He continued talking to her till we got to his penthouse. To my surprise his brother had assigned two body guards to him, which took all the bags of food and other things he brought. After what felt like forever he finally ended the call as I leaned against the car.

"Sorry she talks a lot," he chuckled. I forced a smile on my face as he stood in front of me. "She's coming over to visit tomorrow so I might have to take a reign check on that tour you offered," he seemed awfully happy about seeing his girlfriend.

"That's wonderful," I smiled hoping my annoyance did not slip through. It seemed it did not since the huge smile on his face was still there.

"Any way I will see you Monday. Thanks for everything," he gave me a quick bro hug.

"No problem," I answered with a tight grin. He waved and walked through the buildings grand doors. I stood there for a few minutes trying to clear my head, but it seemed the thoughts that were running through were too much to be solved in a span of two minutes. "What the hell?" I sighed throwing my head back and looked up to the sky.
