It was thirty eight years ago when it all started.

Areo and Oja were very good friends from different village.

Areo was a very strong and hard working young man from OJAVUN and Oja was also a hard working young woman who respect and

believed in her parents so much, from the neighboring village called OGUTE.

Areo and Oja were friends for a short period of time before they found out that they had something in common.

Areo; Oja, I noticed the way you have been staring at me this days with that gorgeous smile of yours, I hope I'm safe?

Oja; nothing serious it's just that sometimes I wish we could be more than just being friends.

Areo; are you scared of losing me as a friend?

we just met few days ago and he said he likes me.

Areo; if he ask for your hand in marriage will you marry him? I'll gladly do that Oja replied with a wild smile on her face.

Areo; hmmm. okay ooh

Oja; what? is anything the matter or are jealous? jealous for what? he replied

Oja: don't even try to deny it because it's written all over you.

Areo; can you please stop talking about it he replied angrily

Oja; ooh, its hasn't gotten to that. okay I'm sorry, I was just joking. you I know can possibly like someone else when you are my one and only.

Areo; you really got me on this one. he looked directly into her eyes. why do I always feel uncomfortable anytime you're with someone?

Oja; i feel the same way too, this is what i was trying to explain the other day but you were making fun of me.

Areo; i really felt bad even if was trying to be happy for you. I felt like I was losing you to the world, thank God. I feel complete now. oh really? Oja asked.

so when are you going to ask for my hand in marriage?

Areo; i thought you said your grandma won't let anyone from your family marry from Ojavun? yes but I really want to spend the rest of my life with you. she replied

Areo; then what are we going to do about it? I don't know she replied.

Oja; I can't even stay a day without seeing you.

Areo; i think i know what to do. I'll talk to my mom about it. I think she can help us out. okay she replied.

Oja; by the way, why did you ignore me when I was trying to hug and kiss you earlier.

Areo; it's because of that boy that came looking for you naah. hmmm jealousy! Oja replied and smile

Oja; can I hug you now? yes but no kiss until we get to my house. Areo answered

Oja; why must it be in your house? Areo; people might see us here and you know what that means. Oja; OK. let's go my mom must be waiting for me now.
