Prologue- a Special Gift.

"Happy birthday to you..., happy birthday, happy birthday, happy birthday Luna...", sang Luna's family and, visitors in a cheerful rhythm, they stood in a wooden table circling around Luna, and her violet birthday cake, her name sprawled on top using a violet icing, and a violet candle in the shape of the number fourteen was placed in the middle, when the song stopped at her name, her mother looked at her with loving eyes, she looked around, noting that her father was late, this was the first time Luna's father is late on her birthday party, she can't help but wonder what he was doing, or where he is.

"Make a wish now darling dear.", her mother said.

She closed her eyes shut, and made a wish, one she made year after year, "I wish I had a dog, any kind of dog as long as it is one.", she said aloud, and whispered another one, "I wish dad's already here, right now.", then she opened her eyes, in front of her was her father holding a golden brown pup with with sharp ears, and a lolling tongue, on it's neck was a black collar, with a sun pendant, her eyes lit up, her heart pounded, and her mouth made an ear to ear smile, she wasn't able to stop herself when her body moved and went instantly to her dad, her dad kneeled in front of her and handed her the small pup with a warm affectionate smile on his face,

"Your wish is my command.", He said teasingly, eyes glancing at her full with appreciation and happiness on her response, she nudge him lightly by the elbow, he barked out laughter, amused.

Luna took a glance at her mother, she was also stop ceasing a laugh, this made her laugh, and before she knew it she was enveloped inside a big, warm bear hug.

Soon after that the visitors started to eat from the buffet her mother had prepared, Luna had always asked her parents not to spend too much money on her parties, but they wouldn't heed her, her mother always said that, "Birthdays are the kind of occasion that must be spent in the most special possible way.", the buffet table was full of her mother's mouth watering, good-tasting, home cooked foods, all still warm, there was a roasted chicken on one corner that's missing the legs, a big bowl of fruit salad, a bigger cake, bigger than the one she blew a candle with, was placed on the middle, there were like three huge jugs of bottom -less lemon iced tea, and a whole lot more, visitors still swarmed around the buffet table, so close to each other, Luna felt like she was in a feast, she looked at her lap where the little pup sat sleeping peaceful, "You must've had a tiring day going here.", She said smiling, and instantly the pup head jerked upward, their eyes meeting each other, Luna felt her eyes widened, the pup's eyes we're golden in color, and his soft silky fur ends in back tips, he lolled his tongue once more, and she decided to think of a name, that would fit him, but even before she can think of a name her eyes seems to move and glance at the dog's, They were similar to the golden disk on a pharaoh's crown, and most similar to the bright golden sun, and as she thought of these, one word went in to her head, Solis, latin for sun, the word was somehow plastered inside her mind, she said it out loud and got every person's attention, her father and mother looked at her with curious eyes,

"I'll name him Solis.", She said, and her parents, and visitors smiled, all warm, no one took it as stupid, or strange, she smiled wider, and her Father called for a cheers, and everyone welcomed Solis by his name, smiling at him warmly, being presented to everyone, Luna noted that Solis plastered a warmly radiating happy smile on his name, and that's when their stories, and adventures started, when her Parent gave her Solis, a bond that can not be broken, or can't it be.
