2 Chapter One: The Beginning
Main Character Pov~
I groaned as I woke up lying on my back, I fluttered my eyes open before seeing the moon floating mightily on the sky, its luminant glow illuminating the night sky and the stars shining brightly.
I couldn't help but admire the night sky as such a scene was rare on earth due to all the light pollution going on. But here, you could clearly see the galaxies and stars, what a majestic view this is to behold.
I suddenly heard a loud roar in the distance which snapped me out from my stupor, I stood up and dusted off my clothes as reality kicked in.
I was in the middle of a freaking jungle.
I sighed as I contemplated my current situation, looking at the night sky it seems I am not close to any particular civilization or human settlement, but I must be somewhere in Kanto, according to what the voice had said, at that moment I felt a rush of energy and power in my body.
By the look of things, it seems like my body became similar to that of the humans in the Pokémon world. The humans in this world are pretty fast, durable and strong. They can handle strong voltages of electricity, deadly dosages of poison, powerful diseases, colds and burns which is honestly extremely impressive.
It seems there is a small cave near me too, I noted and looked around and went in after checking whether or not something was inside. It was thankfully empty.
I sat on a rock in the cave, the cave did not go deep, you could still see the entrance and the night sky from here, I sat on a rock.
" What have I gotten myself into?" I sighed and rubbed my face.
I am currently in danger, with no possible way out. Thankfully, I remember what that voice said earlier.
It said it gave me a system.
" System." I inquired and waited.
Nothing happened....
What?
Is there something I should do? But before I could say or do anything a screen materialized alongside words that spoke, I felt a telepathic connection form as he spoke in my mind.
" Hello there! I am Osiris form the Pantheon Papyrus, Glad to see you doing well. I came to see how you were doing." The familiar voice, now known by the name Osiris spoke to me.
" Wait Osiris? As in the Egyptian God?" I asked shocked, I can't believe the person I am currently speaking with was a freaking god, The Ancient Egyptian God of the Underworld.
" Indeed! The old world you had come from had many such pantheons and Gods! More importantly you should check the system I gave you out. Its self-dependant and runs on its own." Osiris told me with a chuckle.
" Yeah, but how can I do that?" I asked the God.
" Thats easy! Just say or think of the phrase 'Interface' and your System will show you the main screen. Which only 'YOU' can see by the way, See you later!" Osiris left as the screen dematerialized and our telepathic link was broken not before telling me to try and not die.
Well, isn't he quite the sophisticated individual.

Seems legit to me, Let's check them all out one by one, preferably the best option here, Let's see the map.
It changed the screen towards an open world map which showed the Kanto region specifically, which didn't help cause, all of it was blacked out and non-visible, seems like I need to explore some more to unlock more of the map.... But it's understandable. Not everything is easy in life.
I found out that Hidden Missions are exactly what its name implies, missions that are hidden. You basically adventure and complete the missions as you go without ever knowing anything about any mission, Isn't that annoying.
Titles also exist, which corresponds with Character Status.

Pokémon Trainer Rank seems interesting, but what the hell is 'Affinities'?
Before I could continue my thoughts, a screen popped up in front of me as I subconsciously clicked the Pokémon Affinities on my status screen.

Pokémon Affinity:
Description: Every single person in the world of Pokémon has affinities with certain Pokémon types which allows them to catch Pokémon easier, it's extremely rare to find people with no affinities to any certain Pokémon type.
No affinity doesn't mean that it's impossible to catch, it just means it will be extremely difficult to get the Pokémon to have a favourable first impression on you. Higher affinity with certain Pokémon Types means that you are more likely to bond quickly, and the training progresses even faster, if you have a low affinity type with a Pokémon who had just evolved chances are they might not listen to you.
Affinities of Pokémon Types can also be raised if you increase your bond with Pokémon of a certain element type. Sometimes Pokémon will listen to you even if you don't have good enough affinity as long as you impress it.
You currently have no Affinity with any Type of Pokémon.

Well, I guess this explains why ash's Charizard stopped listening to him after it evolved, Mystery solved.
Why do I have No Pokémon Affinity? How is this fair? Is there a way I can check my affinities?

That last one is extremely specific.
I couldn't help but notice how it goes from F all the way to Z, the same as Affinities. I wonder what the Pokémon Rankings and Pokémon Potential look like.

HOLY SHIT! They have taken the title; 'Legendary Pokémon' to a whole new; level with this.... Holy damn.
I am literally having a hard time believing what I am seeing, Legendary, Mythical and Ultra Beast Pokémon are freaking overpowered.
This doesn't make sense, if Legendary Pokémon were this powerful then how did Ash and his measly Pokémon managed to take down Tobias's Darkrai and Latios? The only explanation is that both Darkrai and Latios were low levelled or really young and unexperienced. Thats the only way I see them even coming close to fighting such godly beings,
A level 300 - 400 legendary Pokémon, however? Ash wouldn't last a single second. I hope don't come across these monstrously powerful god-like beings.
According to the Trainer rankings, Only the best of trainers has level 200 + and above Pokémon, and here I am being told that on average Sub - Legendary Pokémon like the Legendary Birds are all around level 300 +. Something Like Reshiram and Zekrom should be around Level 400 + then, As for Z ranked Pokémon it's probably Pokémon such as Dialga, Palkia and Giratina.
It makes sense, these Pokémon literally are considered Gods in ancient times, and to think that most of these Legendary Pokémon's probably have several others of the same species running around, Except for probably Arceus.
Anyways, the only ranking l have not seen yet is potential..... Which apparently, depending on what potential your Pokémon has, the bigger of a head start and the faster it is to level up.

After checking everything out, I came to one very rational conclusion. This is a system where only a few can rise to become "Powerful" as trainers. The Pokémon World is far more dangerous than I thought it would be. How hard is it to level up, I wonder? Only time will tell....

It also seems I don't have any titles, not surprising. All is within expectations. That Affinity took my off guard though, along with all those complicated rankings the system uses.

Man, I really feel tired from all this stress, I got chucked into a dangerous world where death is possible at any given moment. I better hope that Starter Pack the God gave me ends up being fairly decent or even something that remotely helps me, I swear if it ends up being trash, I will be annoyed. Well, atleast we have food and water covered for now.
I brought the backpack out and wore it and packed some water bottles in alongside the knife and laid the tent in the cave and put the sleeping bag inside and used the camping kit to light out a campfire to help me see in the dark night and cooked some meat and ate it.
" Finally, I was getting really hungry..." I said as I burped as I had my fill and sat on the wooden chair.
" Now that I had my fill and feel comfortable let's continue where we left off." I stated as I felt a lot more confident now that I was not hungry.

A million? That's honestly not bad. In the Pokémon World, one million is not enough to become a high ranked trainer and buy certain resources but it's enough to live your life peacefully for a very long time.

" As much as I want to celebrate, I am running out of time." I sighed and decided to celebrate later.
Let's unbox the 5 random affinity tokens, now that I have arrived at this point.....
" Honestly, most Pokemon Types have some really decent Pokemon, but they also have some bad ones, I assume this random egg will give me a random Pokemon according to my affinity, I just hope it ends up being a decent one atleast, Starters are often regarded as the Starting Point, most trainers often always keep their starters at them at all times. My starter will undoubtedly be a vital element to my team. So, I hope.... I get some good affinity; I hope I will get an extremely powerful Dragon-Type Affinity. " I thought out loudly as I concluded my thoughts with a nod before clicking 'Unbox All' on the Random Pokemon Affinity Tokens.
' Here goes nothing.' I thought as I waited for the results and gulped.

All of these affinities are actually fairly decent, for Fire types you have Charizard, For Rock Types you have Tyranitar, For Ground Types you have Garchomp and Rhyperior, For Steel Types you have Aggron and Scizor, As for Poison types you have Venusaur, Gengar and Nidoking.

Seems like Ground type won the lottery with SSS affinity, Fire is in second place with S affinity, in third we have Poison which is an AA Rank affinity followed by both Steel and Rock who are tied for fourth place with an A Rank affinity, which is a huge jump from F Rank.
Should I be happy or sad? I honestly don't know yet, Ground type is not exactly the best, but I guess I can't complain with I got.
I just hope my starter ends up being a good Pokemon.
I glanced at the timer and saw that only three minutes were left, holy damn. Time sure flies by quickly.

I excitedly brought out the egg and was taken aback.
" Holy crap! this egg is freaking huge!" I shouted amazed as I held it, it's as big as my entire torso! But despite that, it wasn't very heavy. The Egg felt alive but hollow, seems like whatever is inside is still forming inside the egg. I am really excited to see what comes out of this egg.
I wonder if its shiny. The Egg itself has a dull brown colour, but the system said that the Egg will change its appearance to become similar to what's inside it.
I pulled out the incubator and put the egg inside of it, the hatching timer decreased by half! It's going to take around 1 month and a half, it seems. I am extremely excited to see what's going to hatch.
I laid the Incubator which was twice the size of the egg and was extremely heavy by the way, inside the tent and watched the egg inside of it.
I heard a noise and saw a screen pop out, seems like the timer for the Luck Potion ended, well it was well spent in my opinion.
I smiled and went outside of the tent and walked to the cave entrance.
" This is going to be a fun second life." I said as I looked at the starry night sky.
