Chapter Fourteen: Tournament Begins!

" Examinee Johnathon's Magikarp is unable to battle, Examiner Jack's Pikachu had won the battle, meaning that Examinee Johnathon had failed the second part of the Exam. " The referee announced.
I watched as the last and final Examinee failed the Official Pokemon License Final Exam, what an anticlimactic way to end the Examination.
It was a really a sad sight, so far no one topped me, Sabrina and Brock. Seems like those two are the only major players in this whole Examination along with me.
There were a few Pokemon among these Rookies that breached Level 40 so that's something I suppose.
" That concludes the final Examination! The second part of the exam has ended out of the 200 initial participants only 99 Examinee's had passed the exam!" The Referee Bella announced.
" Out of 99 of you who passed only 32 will be picked for the Super Rookie Tournament, but all of you who passed will get your license and Official Pokemon Trainer Guidebook after the Tournament is over, Me and my colleague Bella will pick the 32 participants for the Super Rookie Tournament. You're all dismissed for now!" The Examiner Jack spoke this time.
I saw the people finally sigh as this was finally over, I watched as everyone began to clear the Stadium arena.
Slowly the stadium began to clear up, I saw both Brock gaze at both Sabrina and me with a fierce determined look, Sabrina in the other hand didn't bother as she merely just gave us a cold glance before leaving. I saw Brock adopt an angry look before sighing and leaving too.
I shook my head and made my way outside.
~ Over an hour and 30 Minutes later, May 1st Monday 10:30 PM~
I made my way inside my hotel room as I gazed at the ceiling, I chuckled as I viewed Totodile's new stats from his recent battle against the Scyther in the Examination.

Two levels.... While its not much, its still an improvement. The problem is that he still has a very long way to go before reaching Level 150, it will take a while to make him reach Level 150 and evolve him into Croconaw and 200 to once again evolve him into a Feraligatr with all the proper benefits of Pokemon Limit Breaking.
I sighed at this but there was no other way of dealing with it, sadly.
I checked my Pokephone and saw that I received a message about an hour ago saying that I was chosen as one of the thirty-two participants of the Super Rookie Tournament that will take place tomorrow at 10 Am May 2cnd Tuesday, Apparently the first and second rounds will be the focus of Tomorrow and the third round, semi-finals and finals will take place the day after tomorrow.
The fighters representing each turn during the rounds will be picked at random using a Selection machine, the winner of each battle will move on to the next round till they face in the finals.
The Tournament will be the main focus of the entire city during that day, various nobles and organizations will be watching this battle. The Saffron Gym City Gym Leader is one of them and even the Pewter City Gym Leader Flint is attending as one of the Tournament VIP, which makes sense considering his Son is inside of the Tournament.
It's being broadcasted worldwide which makes it the best way Trainers can show their skills and prowess. Too bad, everyone is going to get crushed since I am in this tournament.
It's not arrogance, but rather pure confidence. I had so many monstrous Pokemon at my disposal, The Saffron City Gym will be the first Gym Leader I beat after I become an official Trainer.
It may be a challenge if he used his actual team though, I heard that Gym Leaders have atleast a couple of Pokemon on an Elite Four Level reserved for trainers who are extremely powerful and seek to beat their gym.
I want that Official Pokemon Trainer Guidelines Book to know how the system of this world works, so far, I lack information on that topic.
Only Licensed trainers have the privileged of having that Book.
Another thing is that once I win the Super Rookie Tournament, I will undoubtedly catch a lot of attention, it will be worth it in the end. Considering that I will undoubtedly attain some sort of reward from the system itself on top of getting an Official Pokemon Trainer License and the Official Pokemon Trainer Guidelines Book form merely registering as a Trainer, on top of the bonus of joining the Super Rookie Tournament.
The Pro's outweigh the cons. That much is certain, the system itself is extremely vague when it comes to these Hidden Missions, after all the Hidden Missions I have seen, I have come to the conclusion that there is a 50% chance that there is a Hidden Mission involving the Super Rookie Tournament and the Pokemon License Final Exam.
If there is indeed a Hidden Mission than there is undoubtedly going to be some huge rewards in return for the completion of the Super Rookie Tournament. That's why I plan to absolutely crush everyone in this tournament, the System had been really generous with the rewards so far so i am hoping that it also be somewhat generous with the rewards this time around.
Which is why I had pressed the 'Yes' option when it comes to whether or not I would participate in this Super Rookie Tournament. Signifying that I would indeed participate in this Tournament despite me already passing the requirement for becoming an Official Pokemon Trainer.
With that thought in mind I laid on bed after setting the alarm at 7:45 AM tomorrow after switching my clothes, I really need to buy a house and a Pokemon Ranch one of these days. Hotels are cool and all, but I need an actual home, I also need to get a Psychic Pokemon in the future to help me with my Psychic Abilities.
So far, I had six Pokemon at my disposal, two of which were legendary Pokemon.
My current goal was to have atleast twice as much Pokemon before I participate in an Official Pokemon League.
I had a Shiny Ticket and a Random Legendary / Mythical Pokemon Summoner, I am not planning on using any of them just yet. I will save them for much later.
Especially the Random Legendary / Mythical Pokemon Summoner, it says that whatever it summons is guaranteed to be above Level 500 and set to Extremely High Difficulty according to whatever stage of strength I am with my Pokemon.
It doesn't create a 'Legendary Pokemon' out of thin air but summons them, and they will most likely be completely hostile or angry at being summoned out of nowhere without any warning.
After all, summoning a God out of his will is a feat that won't go unpunished.
Raikou and Groudon were my current Trump Card, but I am not foolish enough to summon a Legendary that is set to ' Extreme Difficulty' and expect everything to go perfectly.

Yup. The Random Legendary / Mythical Pokemon Summoner should definitely be avoided at the moment. What if I summon a Eternatus? or Necrozma..... or even worse a freaking Giratina, Oh god...
Dealing with an Angry Giratina is something that sends shivers down my spine.
The fact that it is guaranteed to be higher levelled than both Groudon and Raikou doesn't soothe my soul at all. Out of the two Legendaries, Groudon would the one who would have the biggest chance against any of those Top Tier Legendary Pokemon he has far higher durability compared to Raikou and they both have roughly the same attack power.
But Raikou was undoubtedly the fastest Pokemon I have on my team, him and Groudon will form a deadly duo. Combining both durability and speed alongside their relentless attacks of lightning and ground.
I really prefer to not use them in public and showcase them to the world anytime soon though. The amount of fame and paparazzi I will have on my tail will be ridiculous.
I am much better off having a relatively quiet lifestyle.
The term any Legendary or Mythical in itself is a very broad and vague term. It could mean any among the listed Category, even some of the weaker options.
I considered using the Shiny Potion on Raikou, but I decided ultimately against it. I need to make sure I am positive when it comes to these types of decisions.
" This definitely seems like the right decision to do." I said as I laid on the bed.
I nodded to myself before closing the lamp light and going to sleep for the night.
~ The very next Morning, May 2cnd Tuesday 7:45 AM~
I was woken up by the large alarm sound that beeped loudly next to me, I groaned loudly as I felt like staying in bed but reluctantly woke up to prepare myself for the day by brushing my teeth and washing my face and took a cold shower to fully wake myself up.
' Man, why do I feel so tired today?' I thought as I was changing my clothes.
After I changed my clothes, I was now in front of the mirror checking my appearance.
I look perfect, I can't believe I am going to fight in a large stadium already.
This will undoubtedly bring fame to me, but it can't be avoided unfortunately. I sighed and exited the bathroom and decided to go eat breakfast in the Hotel's dining area before going to the Stadium.
As I walked inside the Hotel, I noted that everyone was fussing about the Super Rookie Tournament that is taking place today.
Seems like this is a much bigger event than I had originally thought if the civilians are this excited about it.
I will mostly use Totodile, its highly unlikely that I will have to resort to Corviknight or Absol during this Super Rookie Tournament, this whole tournament will serve as an EXP farm for Totodile.
I smiled as I arrived at the dining area, ready to eat breakfast before heading to the Stadium for the tournament.
I spent the next 20 minutes eating quietly in the Dining Area which was really quiet in comparison to how it usually is. Goes to show how much impact this Super Rookie Tournament has on the city.
After finishing my food, I decide to go there with my Corviknight, I want to ride it all the way to the Stadium.
After exiting the hotel, I went to a dark alleyway and brought out Corviknight who made a dramatic entry, before realizing that we were in a small alley. It looked at me confused before I explained to it what I was planning to do. Thankfully nobody was close by or else they would have felt the heavy dense aura and presence of a S Rank - King Class Pokemon.
Corviknight nodded after hearing my words and made way for me to ride on its back towards the Stadium. After getting on her back, I told her to go the sky far above the clouds.
I immediately felt the effects as Corviknight zoomed past the buildings and headed towards the sky leaving a Sonic boom that grabbed the attention of a few civilians.
I felt us leave the Sound Barrier and blitz through Sound Speed levels as we quickly arrived up at where the clouds were.
I watched in complete amazement as I the clouds around us as I flew on top of Corviknight.
FLYING WAS AMAZING! HOLY CRAP!
I didn't expect flying to be so thrilling!
I watched as Corviknight zoomed past the clouds creating sonic booms every time her wings clapped, showing her power and speed.
To my amazement in just mere moments, we arrived at the Stadium Area, I watched from above as I saw the entirety of the city and land, the mountains, the coliseum and the people and pokemon below.
This was all so damn exhilarating to behold! Flying Type Pokemon and other Pokemon capable of flight were amazing!
I grinned in satisfaction and decided to see the time, it was 8:00 AM we still had two hours.
Why not spend another hour flying around on Corviknight? I smirked and told Corviknight that we will be back here in an Hour or so. For now, though, it was free to let loose and fly around with me on his back.
Suffice to say it was one of the best experiences of my life. Who knew riding on the back of a 7.5 meters tall Level 150 + Raven Pokemon would be so damn fun?
Just a single one of his feathers was tougher than Iron and Steel itself, Corviknight was in its natural element the SKY!
I laughed wildly as we zoomed across the skies and clouds with the winds brushing past my face and body.
~ After a while of flying about, May 2cnd Tuesday 9:09 AM~
I had instructed Corviknight to look for an empty place near the stadium where nobody would see us and land there, Corviknight found a relatively decent place and we landed, I withdrew Corviknight right away and thanked her for the amazing ride.
I walked to the Stadium Walls and saw a massive line of people waiting to enter, I sweat dropped and decided to go the less crowded VIP AREA, I skipped the Line which may have angered a few people and showed them my identity as a Super Rookie Participant. They immediately let me in without any further questions needed.
How convenient.
They told me that I came to wrong area there was a special entry for the Participants and Staff, but they let me in anyways. They told me where my lounging area was.
Apparently, every Super Rookie Tournament Participant had a Room in the Stadium to sit and watch the Tournament till its their turn. I will be notified of my turn ahead of schedule.
After I came in the lounge, I saw the screen which revealed the first line of match ups. Apparently, according to the tournament Brackets I was last, Sabrina was first, and Brock was in the middle.
There were other screens, which showed the stadium in all angles, another which focused on the Arena. The screens showed various areas in the stadium, some that was reserved for VIP'S and even more luxurious ones for Super VIP'S.
The stadium was filling up slowly, there were enough seats for millions of people. There were massive holographic screens to show the people a clearer view of the battle, though the screens were currently static as the tournament hadn't begun yet.
I watched the screen's silently as I sat on the Sofa provided. There was still 45 minutes left before the Tournament even began.
It was a grace period before the storm. began.
~ After a while of waiting, May 2cnd Tuesday 9:55 AM~
I watched as the tournament announcer appeared in the middle; he wore a fancy suit and a weird pompadour haircut; he was an unknown blonde-haired man.
The stadium was now nearly full but there were still people coming in to watch the Tournament.
The crowd cheering can be heard all the way down here.
" HELLO EVERYONE! I AM THE PERSON WHO WILL BE IN CHARGE OF PRESENTING AND ANNOUNCING FOR THE ONCE EVERY THREE YEARS SAFFRON CITY SUPER ROOKIE TOURNAMENT! THIS TIME AROUND WE HAVE MANY PROMISING ROOKIES PARTICIPATING IN THIS TOURNAMENT! THIS SUPER ROOKIE TOURNAMENT IN SPONSORED BY BOTH THE PEWTER CITY GYM LEADER, THE SAFFRON CITY GYM LEADER WHO ARE BOTH IN ATTENDANCE! IN FIVE MINUTES, THE SUPER ROOKIE TOURNAMENT WILL OFFICIALLY BEGIN! GIVE A ROUND OF APPLAUSE TO ALL THE PARTICIPANTS WHO MADE IT TO THE THIRD PART OF THE OFFICIAL POKEMON LICENSE EXAM!" The announcer spoke excitedly and enthusiastically, immediately the faces of all 32 participants appeared on the screen and the crowd cheered loudly, seemingly shaking the building with their voice.
He looked like a really sophisticated individual.
I watched as the cheering became louder and louder as people became more excited after seeing the participants.
I am last on the list so my battles will only take place during the last battles of each round all the way to the semi-finals and finals.
Totodile, Corviknight and Absol..., It's your time to shine, though it is unlikely I will use Absol or Corviknight. Totodile might prove to be enough.
After a few more minutes.... The announcer announced the start of the Tournament. I watched as he presented the fighters of the first round.
Sabrina and some dude named Rapple were fighting for the first round.
I closed my eyes and paid no attention to match.
The next couple of matches didn't really pique my interest either, Rapple's team ended up being sweeped by a level 55 Abra, seems like Sabrina wasn't serious when she brought out that other Abra. This one was far stronger.
The matches continued on; some people showed a few Suprises Pokemon they didn't show during the previous examination but nothing out of the ordinary.
Brock first used a Geodude which ended up losing to a tie against his opponent's Tentacool.
Her name was Alexa and she made Brock bring out his Onix and she used her Staryu which was surprisingly Level 50, it put a decent fight but lost against Brock. Making Brock move to the second round.
I watched the next few rounds, a lot of people seemed to have shown some of their trump card Pokemon they haven't shown before. Apparently, someone had a Level 57 Bulbasaur.
My opponent for the next match after the first round seemed interesting, he revealed a level 54 Gastly, I watched with interest as it was seemingly my turn next after this round. I stood up and went towards where I was supposed to go and come out to the arena opening when I was going to be presented.
" And now the final battle of the first round! the battle that will signal the beginning of the second round! First off to the right, we have a promising trainer who is amongst the top 4 most voted contenders by the VIP'S to win this Super Rookie Tournament from Viridian City, give it up for Zachary Zackson!" The announcer announced dramatically as the crowd went wild with excitement as Zachary made his way through the right entrance as he entered the arena with a wide confident smirk, the light was focused on his entrance before the announcer began announcing his entrance.
He was quite handsome in appearance almost as handsome as me, even. He apparently had fans as they kept cheering his name for some reason.
" I will make sure to give you a spectacular show, especially you ladies!" The guy said as blew a kiss.
I watched with amusement as he made a rather extravagant entrance, The Announcer coughed catching everyone's attention as the light focused on the left entrance this time around.
" Now moving on to his Opponent for the last battle. A mysterious individual that appeared out of nowhere in the middle of the night. Despite not being one of the top four favourites for this Super Rookie Tournament. It is said that this mysterious man had passed through his Initial First and Second Official Pokemon Trainer License Examination's with flying colours with minimal effort, could it be that this individual turns out to be the definite Dark Horse of this tournament? One thing is certain, out of all the contenders in this Super Rookie Tournament only this mysterious man is said to have a full team of six Pokemon. Give it up for Ayron Stellarknight!" The announcer mentioned in a mysterious tone and an even more mysterious expression before announcing my name dramatics.
The Dark Horse, huh? That's pretty fitting for me actually. I said with a smile as I began making my way before adopting a serious and expressionless face. The Crowd also seemed to cheer for me but not as loudly as they did for Zachary, some seemed intrigued by what the announcer had said as they gazed at the entrance gate though.
I slowly but surely made my way out of the Stadium tunnel, looking at the stadium around me with a side-glance. As I appeared the crowd seemingly watched me in anticipation, I wore a jet-black trench coat, a brown Pokemon Belt that had some visible Ultra Balls on it. I also carried a moderately small dark grey backpack, black gloves and black boots alongside grey pants, my blood red hair was long and straight reaching my collar bone and my bangs framing my face, I had golden eyes with a serious expression and pale skin and a musculature body.
Overall, I would say I looked good. I just focused my gaze back on my Opponent as my made my way closer to the centre in front of my Opponent.
Both our eyes linked as we stared at each other. I adopted a bored expression, not taking this battle seriously.
I watched as the guy's eye twitched before smirking again. The holographic screens in the stadium focused on both me and Zachary as the announcer began speaking.
" Now that both of our contenders for this match had appeared we can begin the final battle of the first round! The rules are simple, No changing Pokemon during battle. You may change your Pokemon after your opposing Pokemon is down. Once all three Pokemon of either Trainer is down the opposing trainer is declared the winner! Both Trainers are to send their First Pokemon at the same time!" The announcer spoke dramatically with excitement and anticipation as he raised one fist in the air. Making the crowd go wild once more with excitement for the upcoming battle.
He must really love his job.
Me and Zachary and nodded to the announcer.
I picked one of the Ultra Balls on my Belt and Zachary did the same, only his was a Great Ball.
" Without further ado! Let the battle begin!" The announcer said as he threw his arm down dramatically signalling the beginning the match with a bell ring.
Both me and Zackary and let out our first Pokemon.
" Shine through, Psyduck!" Zackary cheerfully and loudly said.
" Wreak havoc, Totodile." I said with a calm tone.
Both our voices echoing through stadium through the microphones and the holographic screens
Out of our Balls came both Psyduck and Totodile, unleashing their mighty Aura making the atmosphere dense with their power and aura. Psyduck calling out his name with a pose.
Totodile in the other hand...
" TOTODILE!" Totodile roared as he created small air current's, his gaze becoming wild and fierce as he gave me a nod before looking at his opponent with a mocking grin.
Psyduck's eyes widened as he saw his opponent and recognized him as a Royal Regional Pokemon, looking slightly worried.
The size different was crazy, Totodile was 150% times bigger than Psyduck. Which makes sense considering his Super-Sized Trait, making him as big as me even in his lowest evolution.
This Psyduck was level 59.... Not bad, everyone was using below level 40 and some below level 30 before this Tournament and the Pokemon Level's seemingly jumped a level as the trainers entered this stage.
" Both contenders have let out their Pokemon! Zachary using his signature Psyduck and The Dark Horse of this tournament surprisingly using one of the Johto's Region's Regional Starter Pokemon for this battle! What a start!" The announcer said with an excited yell, the crowd agreeing with him, Totodile's appearance drawing everyone's attention. Seeing a Region Royal Starter Pokemon in a battle was something rare to see for them, especially one from a different region.
I watched as Zachary began the battle telling his Psyduck to use confusion making it summon a spiral of confusion energy and fire it towards Totodile, I grinned at this.
" Run towards it." I said shocking not only Zachary and the announcer but the entire stadium who watched in shock.
Totodile blitzed towards the Confusion attack that Psyduck just finished charging and threw towards Totodile, who was reaching really close to Psyduck.
" Unbelievable! Ayron Stellarknight made a completely shocking decision! What could he possibly be planning with such a move?" The announcer said making everyone watch in anticipation to watch what would happen to the next.
Once it reached close enough....
" Now do it!" I now told the Totodile whom I telepathically told to use Aerial Ace and Dragon Dance when I give it the signal.
Totodile made a wide grin as his Body was enveloped with a powerful Dragon Type Energy as he used Dragon Dance before using Aerial Ace, the result is his body charging up as he used the move engulfing his body with flying type energy and completely manoeuvring through the attack. Making it completely miss him as he completely played with the attack itself.
Everyone seemed shocked at what Totodile just did, one person managed to snap out as he tried to fix the situation.
" Psyduck! Change the direction of the Confusion and aim it back towards Totodile and then use Psybeam!" Zachary yelled as he snapped out of his shock.
Psyduck looked momentarily stunned as Totodile sped past his attack rushing at him before his body engulfed in psychic energy making the attack change its trajectory back towards the Totodile who was getting closer and closer to Totodile as his body charged with Dragon Dance over and over making him faster and stronger with each moment.
" PSY!" roared Psyduck changing the attack trajectory successfully as it came back towards Totodile before he charged Psybeam.
" Totodile, break through that Psybeam with Dragon Dance and Crunch." I said calmly, Totodile roared as it charged towards the Psybeam completely breaking through it, just as he did so the Confusion caught up to Totodile who was right in front of a frightening Psyduck.
" Now, avoid it with Aerial Ace!" I commanded, Totodile nodded as he used Aerial Ace and completely avoided the attack which missed its spot once more.
" PSYDUCK!" Zackary yelled as he saw Psyduck being engulfed by his own Confusion impacting both him and the ground making a sizeable shockwave echo through the arena as a small smoke cloud erupted with Psyduck coming out looking injured and under the effect of his own confusion attack.
" Now Totodile, knock it down with Metal Claw and Superpower." I said with a confident smirk, Totodile appeared from the smoke cloud right in front of the Confused Psyduck and using both Superpower and Metal Claw attacking the Psyduck full force with a wild roar as it knocked him down creating a large crater and dust cloud.
" Unbelievable! Ayron and his Totodile completely outplayed Psyduck and Zachary by using their own attack against them and took the Psyduck's Confusion to his advantage and unleashed a devastating attack!" The announcer said as the Crowd cheered in excitement with some being quiet at seeing their fan favourite first Pokemon being completely knocked down to the ground like that.
Everyone watched as the Cloud of dust slowly disappearing revealing an unscathed Totodile gazing down on a fainted Psyduck who is out for the count.
" Oh wow! Psyduck is unable to battle! Look at that Folks! Totodile managed to defeat Psyduck without even taking a scratch from this battle! What a battle! The Dark Horse had struck one of Zackary's Pokemon down! Leaving him with only two Pokemon left!" The announcer announced cheerfully. The reaction from the crowd seemed to be quite chaotic as some were watching Totodile in amazement.
I watched as Totodile walked to me looking somewhat disappointed with how fast Psyduck went down.
He was a monstrous Pokemon who's power increased with his rage; I was really impressed.
He gained 4 Levels from beating that Psyduck down.
I smiled as I complimented.
" Well done, Totodile." I said which made him cheer up as he grinned.
I nodded to the announcer, silently telling him I will keep going with Totodile.
I looked at Zackary who looked somewhat angry at this loss before bringing out another Pokemon, he had already withdrawn Psyduck.
" Go, Pichu!" He said bringing out a small, tiny Pichu, which was Level 54.
" The battle continues! Zackary had brought out a Pichu! Meanwhile Ayron had decided to stick with Totodile." The Announcer shouted excitedly.
The crowd cheered once more in anticipation as they watched the battle in anticipation.
" Totodile! Use Rain Dance and Dragon Dance!" I commanded.
I watched as Totodile's body erupted in both Water and Dragon Type Energy, but the Water Type Energy seemed to erupt like a volcano as the atmosphere became rich with Aura with the sky becoming dark as clouds circled above and began unleashing rain upon the stadium.
The whole stadium seemed to have mixed reactions, but most seemed to be prepared as they brought out umbrellas.
Zachary on the other hand narrowed his eyes looking at the sky as he clicked his tongue.
" Oh man! Totodile had unleashed a massive rainfall on the Stadium, thankfully we notified everyone to bring their umbrellas beforehand, otherwise this would be a very wet match!" The announcer commented as he brought out his umbrella.
The crowd, the adults specifically seemingly chuckled at the Announcer's Joke.
" That won't change anything! Pichu use charge and avenge Psyduck!" Zachary said as he gave Pichu his command.
I gave a smirk in return, an electric type huh?
When I initially Introduced Totodile to the team, he immediately tried to challenge every single member of the team, they all had played along to show Totodile a taste of their power including Groudon and Raikou.
Totodile experienced lighting from a freaking Raikou even though it was a heavily supressed attack, a Legendary Pokemon lightning type attack was far more powerful than this Pichu even if its extremely heavily supressed and used only a hundred thousandth or a millionth of his original power. It literally knocked totodile out for hours and fried his scales and body.
Totodile has experienced some pretty deadly and dangerous lightning, compared to Raikou. Forget Pichu being a complete joke, even an entire colony of Raichu and Pikachu are a joke to a Raikou.
" Totodile, counter it with Metal Claw, this time use your full power." I told the Big Jaw Pokemon.
" Dile!" Totodile roared with a grin as its body was engulfed in a gigantic amount of Steel - Type Energy, being trained by Corviknight, a Rank S Steel Type Pokemon for a few days means that Totodile has extreme proficiency with using Steel Type Energy.
Totodile's Claws and body was enhanced by Steel Type Energy as its aura erupted, on top of being enhanced by the several Dragon Dance and Rain Dance.
I was aiming for a 1 hit K.O attack.
Totodile seemingly charged at the lightning engulfed Pokemon with a grin.
They both collided in the middle of the arena, the rain seemingly froze for a moment as the impact of the collision sent went all across the arena and even reaching the front row of the stadium.
Once the dust cleared, the result was shown.
" What an incredible clash of power, Pichu is unable to battle! I can't believe it, despite the Typing disadvantage during this round Totodile had won yet again! Totodile has defeated two of Zackary's Pokemon down all on its own in such speed! What an incredibly powerful Pokemon, as expected of one of the Johto Region Royal Pokemon! The Dark Horse of this tournament strikes again with another shocking performance." The announcer said with shock, the whole also crowd seemed shocked by the fast conclusion of the battle.
Some even shouting Totodile's name as they admired the Pokemon's power.
I smirked as I saw Zackary look stunned at this conclusion, seemingly phased by the one-sided battle so far as he gazed at Totodile with visible worry.
He grits his teeth as his eyes focused on me.
Poor guy doesn't realize how lucky he is facing Totodile and not any of my other Pokemon.
As much as I want to make it easier for him, I can't.... Totodile is the weakest Pokemon I have right now.
I watched Totodile who gained 3 levels from defeating Pichu alongside some small scratches. He did take a lightning attack head on after all.
He hit level 70..... Not bad.... There was still one Pokemon left to deal with though...
The chances of it being knocked down in one hit again is pretty high, I nodded to the announcer once more before looking at Zackary who had long withdrew his Pichu and was now looking at a new Pokeball in his hand with a mischievous smile.
I watched as he brought out a new Pokemon, this one was a Level 64 Jolteon. I looked at Zackary who seemed to have an angry expression.
" I will not lose! never! Jolteon, destroy them!" Zackary said angrily, losing his cool and making the crowd shocked at this sudden burst of anger.
This might actually prove a bit more challenging. I watched as Jolteon responded to his partner's rage with a raging surge of lightning covering his body as he glared at Totodile.
Totodile replicated the glare with his own as his power erupted with Dragon Dance and rain dance.
The two Pokemon were on a massive glare showdown.
" It seems that this battle is about to get intense! Zackary unleashed a powerful Jolteon onto the field! How will Ayron and Totodile respond, Ayron seems to be going with Totodile once more! Will Totodile be able to defeat Jolteon and secure three wins in a row?" The announcer said as the suspense was killing him, the crowd looked equally as excited at the turn of events.
" Like hell he will! Jolteon, use thunderbolt!" Zackary roared.
" Totodile, Ice beam." I countered, both attacks meeting in a massive collision of force making the clouds darken as lightning and ice collided.
I watched as the wind currents blasted all across the stadium from the intensity of the shockwave, both Pokemon unleashing their full fury in this attack.
Totodile was getting angry which meant one thing.
His power was increasing, as he had the 'Rage Power Boost' special trait.
The Ice beam became stronger freezing half of the arena field as the other half was covered by powerful surges of lightning bolts.
The collision eventually ended as both Jolteon and Totodile headbutted each other with rage and hatred in their eyes, both their powers increasing.
My eyes widened slightly, did Jolteon also have ' Rage Power Boost'? I wonder.
There seemed to be a visible power struggle as their auras clashed for dominance.
" Totodile, Ice Fang!" I commanded.
" Jolteon, Thunder Fang!" Zackary tried to counter.
Both Pokemon used their respective fang attacks as they bit into each other, Jolteon seemed to be at advantage first before Totodile used Dragon Dance as he was using Ice Fang and was pushing Jolteon back, even though Jolteon was using Thunder Fang which was a super effective move.
Their power clash was cracking the arena field floor as they pushed each other back and forth.
" What a magnificent clash! Both Pokemon are dead even!" The announcer said with amazement in his tone as both Pokemon fought for dominance, the crowd cheered as they witnessed how this battle seemed to actually make Totodile struggle for once.
" Totodile, Aerial Ace and Metal Claw." I said making Totodile abandon the power struggle as it backed away and jumped in the air and used both Flying Type and Steel Type energies to its favour and charged up both moves.
" Don't let up, Jolteon! Use Agility and Trailblaze!" Zackary said with fierce determination.
Both Pokemon roared as they clashed once more, Jolteon becoming faster and using a Grass Type Move in an attempt to counter Totodile.
A massive shockwave erupted making everyone cover their faces as wind rushed through the stadium alongside a massive dust cloud.
" What a battle! Both Pokemon are giving it their all in a clash of both power and will! What a way to end the first round!" The announcer said as the wind calmed down, and the dust began to clear. The crowd couldn't agree more as they watched. in anticipation.
Both Pokemon jumped from the cloud and arrived in front of their respective trainers.
Totodile had some notable scratches this time around with a few scales looking broken, showing how good of an opponent that Jolteon is.
Jolteon looked worse for wear as he was seen with slash wounds as he took a full powered metal claw head on.
" Jolteon, use Electro Ball!" Zackary commanded wanting to end this.
" Ice Beam, Totodile!" I countered.
Both attacks once more clashed in the middle of the stadium arena and caused another shockwave and impact as ice and thunder once more fought for dominance.
" Now Totodile, use Aqua Jet and get close to that Jolteon." I ordered the Totodile who sped past through the field.
" Jolteon, use agility and dodge." Zackary said noting the damage his Jolteon had taken.
I smiled as it became a game of speed, unfortunately for Jolteon though. Totodile was faster as he had snuck behind Jolteon without it knowing.
" Now, end it with Low Kick!" I said, wanting to end this battle once and for all.
I watched as Zackary desperately tried to tell Jolteon to use charge to defend itself with lightning, it was too late however as Totodile kicked Jolteon with all his might as his body erupted in fighting type. energy.
Jolteon roared in pain as it used charge to try to injure Totodile, it did work a bit as Totodile seemingly faltered for a bit before glaring angry at Jolteon and knocking him out with another Low Kick.
Causing a crater to be created as Totodile knocked Jolteon to the ground.
I watched as Jolteon fainted as it impacted the ground.
" WHAT AN ENDING! JOLTEON IS UNABLE TO BATTLE! JUST LIKE THAT, TOTODILE HAD MANAGED TO DEFEAT ALL THREE OF ZACHARY'S POKEMON IN ONE GO! THIS IS IT FOLKS! THE ENDING OF THE FIRST ROUND, THE DARK HORSE AYRON EMERGES VICTORIOUS AND MOVES ON TO THE SECOND ROUND! I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE BATTLES TO COME!" The announcer roared with excitement as he announced me as the victor.
The crowd roared in excitement at the conclusion of the final battle in the first round, cheering in excitement while some looked disappointed at the loss of Zachary.
Zachary's eyes were shadowed as he withdrew his Jolteon and slowly walked to the Arena Field Exit.
" There will be thirty minutes break before the second round begins! I look forwards to seeing you all in thirty minutes folks!" The announcer said before closing the microphone.
I watched as the crowd kept roaring at the stadium before chuckling and looking at. Totodile.
" You did well Totodile, you deserve some rest." I said as he grinned at my compliment before I withdrew him back.
I turned around and began walking towards the Arena Field exit.
This was going to be interesting it seems, I chuckled once more.
