A Year in Shadows

In Nuoding Academy, Felix and Maya had spent a year where they chose a path of discretion, keeping their true strength hidden. 

Despite the close proximity to Tang San and Xiao Wu, who had become prominent figures in this academy, Felix and Maya followed a different trajectory as they were assigned to a different class and therefore didn't cross paths with both of them.

Their decision to remain low key wasn't born out of fear or secrecy but rather a desire to observe, learn, and understand the dynamics of this new world they found themselves in. They were the mysterious pair that garnered attention for their looks rather than their combat prowess.

Their interactions with others were warm and friendly, yet their true strength remained concealed. In classes, they excelled in their studies without drawing unnecessary attention. On the training grounds, they showcased only a fraction of their abilities, skillfully blending in with the crowd of aspiring soul masters.

Felix and Maya had spent a year honing their abilities. As the seasons changed, so too did the depth of their soul power, both reaching 29th level. Their power upgrade method didn't require them to hunt down soul beasts but instead just have to absorb the soul power and cultivate like any other soul master on Douluo continent.

As for their spirit rings, it was just so that others don't doubt their source of powers and not treat them as anomaly on the continent. Apart from these traditional methods, they also incorporated the concept of mental fortitude and creative visualization in their training. 

They immersed themselves in a realm within their minds, a space where they confronted their fears, honed their focus, and envisioned the limitless potential of their powers. This unorthodox approach allowed them to unlock latent abilities within them and push the boundaries of what was conventionally deemed possible making them more powerful than many or most of their fellow soul masters. 

One evening, Felix and Maya found themselves strolling through the academy gardens. The aroma of blossoming flowers and the distant hum of students in training created a serene backdrop for their conversation.

Maya spoke, her voice carrying a thoughtful tone, "It's been a year, Felix. We've observed a lot, learned a lot."

Felix nodded, "True. We've stayed under the radar, focused on adapting to this world. But perhaps it's time to reveal a bit more of who we are."

Maya smiled, "Well it's time to go try and get admission in Shrek. We will show our strength then."

Felix smiled, "Perhaps it's time to embrace our true selves, not as mere observers, but as active participants in this extraordinary journey."

Maya nodded, her eyes reflecting a newfound determination. And so, as the moonlight bathed the academy in its gentle glow, Felix and Maya set forth on a path that would intertwine their destinies with the unfolding tale of Duoluo Dalu.
