Chapter 40: "The Showdown"

As the first rays of dawn broke through the canopy of the forest, Kael stood on the edge of the clearing, his eyes scanning the shadows for any sign of movement. He knew that his enemies were out there somewhere, lurking in the darkness like vultures waiting to strike.

With a sense of grim determination, Kael set off into the depths of the forest, his senses honed to a razor's edge as he searched for his quarry.
