Alex feels completely lost, he is standing on an unrecognizable hill, a large house sits on the left covered in police tape from being broken into.
Walking past the house he could see blurry shadows whiz past him, on the other side of the hill he is drawn to look straight forward.
When he goes to move his leg, he realizes he is paralyzed rooted to the spot.
"What..."
A girl walks past him bundled up in a light brown trench suit, her jeans were soaked from the light rain drizzling down on them, a man walks past her.
His eyes were extremely tired, he lightly grabs the passerby by the hood of her jacket, "Excuse me?" The man says, his face pulling from the shadows embracing the streetlight's dim lighting to reveal pale features.
"That's me..."
His "Other" self heard him talk gawking up at him with a smile, turning his attention back to the Alice look alike, "I would like to ask something please..." His double expresses pathetically.
Alex scrutinizes the situation rather annoyed with himself, "What is it?" She asks.
He rubs the top of her hand letting it drop to her side pressing forward, she looks back watches him face plant face-first into the damp cement, "Hey! Are you okay?" She cries out.
Rolling his eyes, "Faker!" Alex accuses his "other" self, the rain starts to pick up.
The "other" Alice lifts his clone into her arms, her eyes gathering tears raising the phone to her ear, "Please...let me call help..."
The double laying in her lap pushes the phone out of her hand, it hits the ground.
"Please forget about me..." He states closing his eyes letting out a sigh, she runs her fingers under his eyes tracing the heavy black bags gently.
"But why?"
The "other" Alex sits up pressing his fingers against her back, hugging her tightly against his body, "Because..."
thump-thump
He sinks his fangs into her neck, the mere shock causes her to go limp in his arms as he continues to suck her vital fluids; his eyes open glaring into Alex's.
Alice's blood drains down her neck the more he takes, he pushes her to the side.
Alex becomes distressed easily trying to move his legs, he falls to the ground on his butt shielding his face; he is pulled up by the hairs on his head.
"Wake up!" A voice cries out, studying the body in an instant Alice is standing up with her head down at her chin behind the "other" Alex.
A high-pitched noise causes him to close his ears and eyes, he screams helplessly.
His eyes bleed the colors of blue and purple becoming saturated by his fractured tears clinging to his face drying, unexpectedly blinded by the stinging.
Gentle hands touch his back embracing him by the waist, "Love...I am here..."
"Sword..."
She wipes his face with an overly dry handkerchief rubbing his face almost raw smudging the dry tears all over his face, "Do you know the power you hold?"
Opening his eyes he doesn't look her directly in the face, "No..."
"You are now the child of the broken mirror my love."
"What is that?"
"That means you hold a power to rival the one who stole your sword."
His dull expression shows he doesn't understand, she groans out shaking her head.
"What did I watch?" Alex asks, "That's not what happened to me..."
"That's because that is your other self."
"Other self?"
"Soon enough he will be in this world to torment you."
"What did I do him?"
"You exist, you poor thing."
"Come find me, my love...I will protect you..."
Alex wakes up panting in sweat, "Alex, are you okay?" Clarence asks getting up.
"No..."
"Surely it was a really bad nightmare and nothing more."
Looking down at the covers that are sitting on his lap, his eyes glimmer radiating brilliantly, "I...don't want to be a child of the broken mirror..."
"What are you talking about Alex?"
He blindly sticks his hand out saying nothing, a mirror crashes down bursting into pieces scattering out like projectiles knocking the lamp over shattering the lightbulb, "What the hell!" Clarence yells as the pieces ricochet off the walls.
Alex leans forward unmoving, Clarence manages to dodge the particles of glass.
"I can't stay here anymore..."
"Don't be silly Alex."
Alex crawls out of the bed stepping on the glass without so much as a whimper despite his feet seeping blood onto the hardwood floor, "Please don't..."
"You are thinking irrationally, calm down."
"I have to meet someone..."
"Meet who?"
"Doesn't matter who! Please don't make me use it!" Alex pleads, his body quivers unable to control his emotions, Clarence tackles him to the ground.
Clutching his arms together squeezing his elbows into his chest, "What has gotten into you? Talk to me please!"
"I don't know...I dreamt I need to meet my sword!"
"It's nothing more than a dream! Snap out of it!"
Alex slowly comes out of it calming down in Clarence's arms, the shards dig deeply into Clarence's knees bleeding through his white suit.
He finally quiets, "It seemed so real..."
"I know...you are okay now Alex..."
He clings to Clarence, hoisting Alex up from the floor he opens the door to find Chara staring straight at them, "Why are you covered in blood?"
"We're going to Doctor Carol right now..."
"I will escort you, Master Alex, what happened this time?"
"He is okay, please don't press further."
Chara opens the gate allowing them to press through, Doctors Carol looked less than surprised, "I do not even want to know..."
Clarence nervously laughs, "I want to talk to you later Doctor okay?"
"I really don't want to, but it feels like I should," Carol replies bringing out large tweezers and bandages tending to Alex first.
"Clarence, was it a dream tantrum again?" Chara inquires.
"Yeah...but it was stranger."
"Stranger?" Chara replies, Clarence sighs.
"Nevermind, we will talk later..." Clarence says digging his claws into his bloody pants leg ripping the fabric off to take a look at the damage.
Bringing out suture scissors Carol carefully digs out smaller fragments lodged in his feet, "You are filling out the report on this one."
"Fine...how is Christian holding up?"
"He hasn't woken from his slumber yet," Chara responds helping Carol with the gauze, Steel jumps into the room noting their expressions right away.
"Why are you all so glum?" Steel inquires, Clarence pushes her out of the room leaving Carol and Chara alone with Alex.
He has her follow to the room he came from opening the door, broken glass shattered everywhere, blood was found slowly being soaked into the boards.
"When Christian is finally awake perhaps he can help us." Steel responds worried.
Loud bangs on the main house door have them scatter to the door, upon opening the door Mars's face has broken out and reddened from running all the way back.
His clothing has been torn, he was panting out of breath trying his best to compose himself, "It's grandmother!"
"Didn't she just get home safely?" Clarence asks confused.
"We did...but someone knocked the door in as soon as we got inside, they carried her off and beat me till I no longer could move..."
"Oh no...revered grandmother..." Steel replies in shock of the circumstances.
"Do you know who they were Mars?" Clarence responds, "Any clues?"
"No...my Mom is out so I can't contact her!"
"We can't leave you alone, please come in Mars." Steel expresses with sympathy.
They walk to the living room to find Carol strolling into the same room with Alex.
"What happened to him?" Mars points.
"I will break your fingers if you point at me any longer," Alex responds irritated by his outburst, they sit on the same couch together turned away from each other.
"He had an accident and will be recovering here." Doctor Carol explains to Mars.
"I can only guess what happened," Mars says with a smirk while Alex pouts.
"No bickering please, The Witch of the Mountain being kidnapped is a big problem." Steel chides them both pacing.
"You have to tell us what happened in more detail," Clarence asks.
Mars takes a deep breath before starting, "Well it all started..."
