Echo McCall

Credit cover goes to the amazing person who created this picture, I found it on google but wanted to credit them in some way. Derek never believed in soul mates and love at first sight. That was until he met Echo, yes that's her name. She is Scott's younger sister, but only by a year. Scott was always protective of her, especially after all The Alphas and other things running around Beacon Hills causing havoc. Derek hasn't properly loved anyone since Paige and he has built emotional walls around himself to stop him getting hurt again. What happens when they both cross paths? Will Derek reject her in fear of being hurt or will he let her in overtime? Echo is not as confident as her brother and likes to spend her time with a small group of people. However, she is a good friend of Lydia, Allison, Malia, Hayden, and briefly Kira. She mostly had her head inside one of her books and was extremely clever. She often had to help Scott with some of his homework. Everyone looked out for Echo as she was sort of viewed as the 'weak one' among everybody. Her best friend has always remained the same person, Isaac Lahey. People say it was ridiculous but they both ignored everybody and spent time with each other a lot. Liam was a very close friend as well, probably coming in at second place after Isaac of course and spent time with Echo a lot. Echo wished for the supernatural world she had read about to be real, she took her Dad leaving extremely hard as she was closer to him than Scott was and she was never fully herself after he left, but she picked up the pieces eventually. I hope you enjoy this story! ~Shadowemme~

Book 2 - Chapter 2

Echo's POV

The next morning I was awoken by someone sitting ontop of me. "Mommy, wake up!" Silvie squealed before jumping off and quickly changing into a forest green summer dress to make her eyes pop. She pulled on some white socks and skipped downstairs. Huh, why is she in such a good moo- oh. I immediately realized when I peaked my head out my room- pancakes. Of course. I changed into my white summer dress that had spaghetti straps and stopped at just below the knee.

I saw my mom cooking at the stove, so I sat at the breakfast bar opposite, yes you heard me, breakfast bar. Mom got a promotion at work and now gets paid double the amount she used to. I felt somebody wrap their arms around my waist. "Hey, none of that in my kitchen" Mom warned, while I pouted and Max chuckled. "How's the wedding going?" Max asked, trying to make conversation. "Stressful" Wow, a one word answer from Mom, jeez it must be hella chaotic. "Well, I must be off, I have to go and pick up the bride for my dress fitting"

Silvie jumped onto my back while I grabbed her hat, and my keys before going outside and into my car, it was a dark grey SUV. It looked almost black when its wet, but you can usually tell. To my dismay, Malia had been staying at the pack house. *sigh* at least I get to see adorable Liam again, I wonder how he's doing with Hayden. And if Peter is just as annoying as last time. I unlocked the car once we pulled up outside the beautiful house, how I missed this place. Silvie ran up to the door and knocked. I rolled my eyes and laughed at my adorable daughter. It was Liam who opened the door, he looked older but hadn't changed a bit. He was still the adorable kid that looked upto me.

I smiled at his confusion as to why there was a little girl standing outside the door. I came into view and Liam's face instantly changed into a ginormous grin. "Echo!!" He yelled before running up and engulfing me in a hug. "We missed you so much!" He said, while pulling back and looking down at Silvie. "And whose this?" He asle while bending down to Silvie's small height. "This is Silvie, she's my daughter" His face went cold for a moment before smiling down at her. "Isaac will be thrilled to see you" I chuckled at him. "Actually I only came for the bride" His smile faltered before going inside to get Malia. Before I knew it, I was being hugged from all different angles.

"Woah there" I laughed as I recognised the curly hair. "Ma- Echo" He sighed, hugging me closer. I realised that on the opposite side, it was Malia. "Hey, I have the bride!" I yelled triumphantly, putting my arms around her, causing everyone to smirk. Behind me was Stiles, of course. "Hey mischief" He smiled up at me, infront of me, was Hayden. "Hey girl" I said in a playful tone, she laughed and pulled away, slowly followed by everybody else. I saw Peter leaning against a tree a couple of metres away. "Come on Peter, for all times sake"

He rolled his eyes with a smile and came towards me, I hugged him and he was stiff for a moment before hugging back. "You have to help Derek, he's losing his mind without you" I pulled back as he stared into my eyes. "He needs his mate Echo, he feels so bad for what he did, and he got better, he stopped drinking, and he said he told you, but you wouldn't listen. He tried so hard for you, and you ignored him." He sneered before walking off. Everyone was left stunned for a moment. All I could say was what I had said constantly to Derek. "I've moved on"

============

Malia had dragged me into the wedding dress place and had asked for some lady named Michelle. "A tanned woman with light hair came towards us and shook Malia's hand. "This is the Echo I've heard so much about" Michelle smiled at me before slipping Silvie a chocolate chip cookie, an apple juice and colouring page with pencils. "I hope you don't mind, children always get bored with this type of thing" I smiled at her knowingly. You do not want to get Silvie bored, she'll cause major havoc.

I was led to a dressing room with a teal dress with white lace details at the top. The bottom was plain and simple but it worked.

"This is your dress, I would just like to make sure it fits, and ask a certain little girl if she'd be my flower girl. Silvie's head snapped up, Malia smiled at her. "Do you think you could be the flower girl at my wedding?" Silvie frantically nodded. "That's settled, now the dress" Michelle came to my side and started taking measurements. "You look great after having two kids Echo" Malia complemented. "Well it was five years ago Mal" She threw her head back and laughed. Malia stepped out for a moment before coming back with a teal dress for Silvie, it had a white ribbon going around the middle. I smiled, everything looks so great.

We finished all of the fittings and Malia got the flower girl dress. Malia was about to start the car when she got a phone call, she looked at who it was and answered it. "Ok, I'll tell her" She said after a couple of minutes on the phone. She ended the call and placed with phone back in her pocket. "Who was it?" I asked her, slight nervousness creeping into my voice at this point. "It was Peter, he was talking about the pack blah blah blah before he said something that could be viewed badly or well, depend on your mood" She seemed nervous and it was making me more and more worried. "Spit it out woman"

"Your father wants to talk to you"
