Bryn took a breath. “Tell me I’ll get through the scherzo section without falling on my ass.”
“You will get through all the sections. You will have the entire audience eating out of your hand. You will break legs. You will merde the fuck out of tonight. You will—”
Bryn was laughing when he covered Ellis’s mouth with one hand. “It’s a tricky section. And the knee—”
“Is fine,” Ellis said behind Bryn’s palm. He kissed it, and they both heard the call for places.
“It’s time,” Bryn said. Ellis could feel him thrumming with energy, so alive and vibrant
