Strategy part 3
Elen said: "It sounds nice. Is it really possible?"
He thought he was a wise thinker in terms of managing his household, but he now saw that he was very wrong. This child had a very big potential in management even without his capabilities as a mage.
"Sure, it is. It is just a matter of time. We need to try and make it as fast as possible to be able to advance quickly and save more time for training. We will start with the house and mansions building. At the same time look for some lands that we could buy. We need to send the merchant association the data of our family's new business. I want to start making money as fast as possible." Leo said.
"Also, I want to study your meditation technique for the knight path. I think I have some talent for it. I'm not sure if my talent is good or not but my main goal is to try and improve the existing technique so you can progress faster. If it will work, we could give the loyal servants your current meditation technique so they could increase their strength as well. It will increase their loyalty towards our family. Now I will go and start teaching Elly the basics of what she needs to know about magic with the teachings of how to feel the elements and when she succeeds, I will teach her my breathing technique." Leo said with a smile.
Elen nodded and said: "No problem. I will take care of the building business information spreading over. How much time it should take Elly to achieve the level of mage apprentice? when do you want to study our meditation technique? The fact that you helped Felix to breakthrough means that you do have some talent for knight training. Still, I think your main goal still should be magic. We can take care of the knight training in the family."
Leo nodded and said: "I don't plan to become a knight. I love magic and the earth element as well. It suits me well. As for Elly. I think it should take her a few days to feel the elements and then around a year to get to a first circle mage apprentice level. Of course, it can change for the better or the worse ways but that is my estimation according to my journey as a mage. As for the knight meditation technique I think we do it at evening. You can just give me a scroll with the description of the technique, and I study it while Elly will train."
"We do not keep a scroll with the technique. All of the family members remember the technique. It is the best way to keep it in the family" Elen said.
Leo nodded and said: "Alright. Just tell me about it later in the evening. Now I will go and teach Elly all she needs to know to begin her training. She will be our healer in the future. It is very important for her to know how to manipulate the elements in the right way."
The strategy meeting was over. Leo departed with Elly to teach her the basics of how to feel the magic elements around yourself just like his master David taught him. In the case of Elly, he needed to make her meditate near the water source. For that he and Elly departed to the lake that was near the city to increase the speed of Elly's cultivation. With an abundant amount of water elements in the surroundings even a low-level talent should feel something in a few days. Leo made a smart move. He made a tunnel near an underground currents of the lake. He felt the surface for a short distance so he could do it. After making a tunnel and closing it from the outside for protection they could both cultivate their powers. That's how a few days had passed.
In that time he and Elly came back every evening. The Shmidt's started to teach Leo their knight meditation technique. Leo was making a slow but steady progress. Also, Elen went to the merchant association and registered a new building company called Shmidt construction. Leo told the family to not really spread any information to the outside world. They needed time to grow and be able to hold their own against any hostile force. They could not really defend against anyone powerful in the city. Keeping it low and taking their time was the right strategy. Leo was still not known in the city. Only certain circles knew about a talented kid named Leo, but no one knew he is way stronger then he really showed. In that way after twelve days Elly finally felt the water elements. Leo gave her two more days to get used to the feeling of the elements. He was with her all the time she was meditating because a mage was vulnerable in that state. They did hide from the outside world but you could never know what could happen.
After that Leo started to teach the girl the meditation technique that he learned from his teacher. He saw that it was way harder for the girl to get any results. He did not tell her that to not discourage her. It took him way less time to do all of this but as a human with low talent Elly needed more time. After a few more days Elly was on the right track and they returned to let her cultivate in a safe place. Now Leo also got the general idea about the knight cultivation technique of the Shmidt family. He knew that with time he could come with a couple of ideas but now he felt that the family needed money and resources to grow faster. It was time to establish himself and his new family in this city in a solid way. Everything started from construction of a lot of homes for commoners and nobles.
