Finding Food

'Man we've been walking for about half an hour and all we got to show for it was a couple of berries.' Looking at the berries in his hand Terry is half tempted to try so but stop himself short due to not knowing if their poison or not.

Terry turns to look at his roommates just to see Colton looking like he just lost the super bowl. Sam looking towards the trees as if he's thinking about catching one of the squirrels in the tops of the trees. Welsey Seems to be in his own world at this point almost as if he stuck in a trace or something.

Interrupting Terry train of thought Colton "God, I hope we find some something to eat soon I'm so damn hungry." Colton rubs his stomach.

"Don't worry I'm sure there should be a river or something nearby for the wildlife here is more than were we started." Wesley points out

"Rustle, Rustle Rustle." Over in a bush pops out a rabbit about the size of a rabbit.

Zero movement, everyone goes frozen fear of scarring the rabbit. Everyone expect Colton.

Colton seeing the rabbit Colton makes a dash for the rabbit at Mach Fat ass scarring the rabbit to who knows where.

'Shit there goes lunch.' Terry looks over to where the rabbit left and chase after it only just to see it disappear into the woods. Never to be seen again.

"God damn Colton you scarce the little guy." Sam looks at Colton as if he just killed his newborn.

"Well sorry but it's not my fault that my stomach is yelling at me to eat it." Colton crosses his arms across his chest in defiance.

"If that's the case tell your stomach to let your brain to do the job instead." Sam retorts

The bickering goes on for a couple of minutes but while that happens Wesley can be seen picking up sticks. Along with other things like certain grass that skinny and tuff compared to the other grass.

Terry seeing Wesley picking up stuff asked what Wesley doing.

"I'm going to make a trap." Wesley grins as he keeps picking up stuff.

"Well what kind of trap?"

"First I'm going to make a noose, then will turn these sticks into wooden spears so when we catch the rabbit, we can kill it." Wesley hands over the sticks to Terry

'Why is he giving me the sticks?' Terry looks at Wesley with a puzzle look. Wesley then explains as if he knew Terry was confused.

"Make sure you give the sticks to Sam because he's a Arrow Master and spears points are similar to arrows I what to see if he can get XP from it. I also want to see if things like weapons have a description just like in video games." Wesley looks over at Terry "Terry you got all that right?"

Terry who's weirded out from this seemingly new Wesley tries to give voice to it.

"Umm Wesley I don't think you've noticed but your ale be a little bit different now your here. Your more... smart then before." Terry gives Wesley a look of concerned.

"You know now that you mentioned it if I recall correctly before when we were running out of the house the idea to go up the roof I came up with pretty quick as well. So maybe I've always been like this is just that I've haven't had to deal with a sinkhole before so who knows." Wesley chuckles at his own joke and continues to pick up more grass.

"Maybe the sinkhole affects us when it first came to be just like how the news said radioactive was higher near the sinkholes." Wesley shrugs his shoulders.

"Sure, let's go with that West." Terry walks over to Sam and Colton who've just stop bickering.

'If what he said was true is that one of the reasons why we're not freaking out. Actually, when I think back to our last moment's back home, I was really quite the mess even hours before the sinkholes. But once we turn on the TV, Ellen was never once on my mind, I mean yes, I did have my phone out but still. Not once did Ellen come up in my mind. Does not mean the system wants us to focus on things it thinks are only important? Why to so much of a degree that I even forget about my cheating Ex for a couple of hours.'

Little did Terry even notice is that while he was having this thought in the real world only a couple of seconds have passed almost as if his thinking speed has increased.

'Come on Terry focus here man you're in the middle of the forest you have no food or water you can worry about this stuff later.' Terry who's focus up once more finally makes it back to Sam and Colton just in time to see them stop bickering.

"Hey Sam, West said that since your an Arrow Master if you try to turn these sticks into spears maybe you'll give them a buff or something? He's thinking we try to kill the rabbit with the spears." Terry hands over the sticks.

"Sure, thing just let me fine a sharp rock and I'll scrap up some spears for us and I'll try to make one of those ancient spear throwing things."

Wesley overhearing this yell "Their Called atlatl and make about three for each of us."

"What he said." Sam then goes out to look for a sharp rock.

Both Terry and Colton look at each other nod in understanding their roommates have change. For better or for worse time can only tell but their certain that the system isn't just a bunch of numbers nor some illusion. It is affecting them right now and for however long they have it.

'Atlatl what the actual fuck is that?!? If they are pulling random shit out their ass what shit am I going to come up with?' Terry ponders as he looks at Colton

"Hey Colton let's keep looking for water while they do their thing, I'll meet you back here in 10 mins."

As time passed both Terry and Colton go look around for more wildlife and water which turns up empty. During this time Wesley has made ten nooses and Sam has just finished his first spear.

"All right I think it's time we lay our trap and for this I think the place that Terry and Colton found will be perfect." Wesley points to the den where both Colton and Terry saw three rabbits hide in.

"I'll set up the trap since and since Sam's got the most DEX I'm guessing he should be the best with throwing the spear, so he'll get the first shot. After that the rest of us will surroded it and try to check it. And after we get our first meal, I'll like to take a look at that spear to see if maybe I can find out anything more about the system." Wesley points to the areas each person will be at following Wesley command they get into their spots.

Wesley can be seen taking out the berries from early and tossing them near each of the trap's being the prefect bait.

In not even 5 minutes do we get our first victim a single white tail brown back rabbit that's slowly making way to the berries.

'That's right little guy just keep going just a little more.'

Inch by Inch the rabbit makes way towards the berries carefully looking around for any predators. Seeing the coast is clear takes a bite of the berries.

'Yes, yes keep going my precious just one more step.'

Holding their breath, the group waits for when the rabbit moves into the noose.

You see because it's a makeshift noose the chances of it breaking it pretty high. The main reason they want the rabbit to get caught in the noose is to slow it down and allow Sam to get his throw off.

"Squeak!" The rabbit who's just step into a noose starts to jump up and down in fright of whatever it's in.

'Alright! Now Sam only has to hit the rabbit and not the noose.' Terry grins in excitement for what 's to come...DINNER!

"Zipp!" in the air a spear can be seen gliding the along the air heading straight for the rabbit only to hit it in the foot along with the noose cutting it in the process.

'Ah shit well better than not hitting it.' Terry starts to make a dash towards the rabbit who's running for their life.

"Get It!" Wesley yells

"I'm having rabbit for dinner HAHAHah!" Colton jumps at the rabbit only to eat a face full of dirt.

'Well maybe not all of us has change.' Terry seeing the rabbit try to hop away tries to make him run towards Wesley who's right of the rabbit.

Seeing that the rabbit can't go straight due to Terry it turns to its right, right to Wesley who has makeshift net ready to catch it.

Wesley seeing the rabbit running right at him football tackles the rabbit with the net in hand.

"Squeak!" the rabbit has been caught!

"I got it!" Wesley exclaims who holds up the rabbit in victory.

"Let's fucking Go!!!!!" Colton who's still covered in dirt yells in victory.

'Holy moly that's football players for you.'

"Great job Wesley great catch." Terry holds out a thumbs up.

"Well, I wouldn't have been able to get it if it weren't for Sam throw." Wesley turns to Sam who's just ran over.

"Thanks man but going to be honest it was mostly luck. I mean I've never throwed a spear before so just was trying to do it like in the movies." Sam then walks over to and picks up his spear he threw earlier.

"Hey Wesley, hand over the rabbit to Colton if I remember correctly his grandpa taught him how to cook small animals." Terry points over to Colton who's already set up a campfire.

"Will can do buckeroo." Wesley hands over the rabbit to Colton who twist the neck of the rabbit putting it out of its misery. Precede to prepare the rabbit for cooking over fire by gutting the rabbit out with his bare hands. Just like a giant whose strength over comes any problem.

"Dinner will be done it about 20 minutes so be patience and you'll have so warm rabbit meat." Colton licks his lips impatiently.
